
Village of Big Bend
In 1837, in anticipation of the Great Wisconsin Land Sale of 1839, Aaron and Elvira Putnam settled near a “big bend” in the Fox River. Big Bend was noted for its sugar bushes, maple syrup, black walnut and oak trees, the descendants of which are still enjoyed today. The village was incorporated in 1928, the first Police Department formed in 1941 and the first volunteer Fire Department in 1951.

Town of Eagle
Blessed with fine natural springs, the Town of Eagle became known for resorts such as Eagle Springs and Paradise Springs. Eagle’s transition from an economy based on agricultural and railroads to one of recreation and tourism was furthered during the 1950s and 1960s as the state acquired land for the Southern Unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest. In 1976, Old World Wisconsin, an outdoor living ethnic history museum, opened.
Village of Eagle
The area received its name when, in 1836, Thomas Sugden, John Coats and Mr. Garton came to a beautiful prairie and saw a huge bald eagle soaring overhead. Today, the area is home to both historic homes and businesses.
Village and Town of East Troy
The Village of East Troy is 35 miles southwest of Milwaukee in Walworth County. Visitors come to East Troy for the festivals, the concerts, the East Troy Electric Railroad Museum and for the many shops, restaurants and services. The Village and Town of East Troy have a blend of families who have lived in the area for generations, as well as families moving from overcrowded cities, looking for a safe, friendly place to live and grow.
Town of Mukwonago
Nestled in the southern portion of Waukesha County, the Town of Mukwonago is composed of a residential community surrounded by scenic lakes and rolling hills. Rural character is abundant.
Village of Mukwonago
The Village of Mukwonago is a thriving community rich in historical integrity while balancing a guided plan for future development and redevelopment. The village is 30 miles west of Milwaukee at Highway 83 and I-43 and home to more than 6,600 residents and numerous commercial and industrial businesses. The village prides itself on balancing quality of life with economic well-being.

Town of Vernon
The Town of Vernon, originally a part of Muskego, was established March 8, 1839, before Wisconsin became a state. The town covers about 35 square miles with the Fox River running through the town and the Vernon Marsh bordering the northwest corner of the town. The Town of Vernon borders the Towns of Waukesha and Waterford, Villages of Mukwonago and Big Bend and the Cities of Muskego and New Berlin. The active Town Board continues to ensure needed residential services for people of all ages.
