LCL baseball on a hot streak
Lake Country Lutheran’s varsity baseball team won four times in recent days, sweeping a doubleheader from Kenosha Christian Life 7-6, 6-1, before taking care of Greendale Martin Luther, 9-8, and Milwaukee Lutheran, 14-2.
Matt Brueser pitched two complete games for the Lightning during the winning streak. The left-hander struck out 13 in the two games without issuing a walk. Josh Paliafito and Kevin Kornowski had the other victories on the mound for the Lightning (17-7 overall).
Wil Goodman went 7-for-12 with five runs scored including a home run in the four games. Hunter Mason went 7-for-14 with six runs scored and four RBIs.
