I have a pet peeve when it comes to how economists, politicians, Libertarians, bloggers, and people misuse Ecology as the blue print and template for how so called “Free Market” economics is supposed to work.

 In a nut shell a free market economy is a self regulating system that will correct itself. Less government regulation means a better running system. The consumers and the price of raw materials act as the main regulatory agent, etc…..

In My Opinion, The way supporters misuse ecological principles to push the “Myth” of a “Free Market” and how it is superior than “Regulated Markets” is so off base to either be ignorant on how “nature” works or deliberately misleading that these people have done more harm in the last 30 years in which it culminated into the mortgage and banking crisis which has cost millions of people their jobs and lively hoods it is the largest economic white collar crime since the S & L scandals of the 1980’s.

Ecology

Interaction is the key concept of Ecology.

First let us strip god, new age beliefs, politics and any romance and emotion out of the concept of how we look at Nature. I like to look at it cold and mechanistically, kind of like how a machine works, on what we know of how things interact with each other.

Ecology is the study or the interactions between the Abiotic (without life) and Biotic (with life) factors in an environment.

Ecosystems are studied and are a matter of scale, small-to-large: Ecotone, Niche, and Habitat (the range in which a living thing can live), Biome and the Biosphere (i.e. the planet).

These Ecosystems also interact with each other and the Earth interacts with the solar system, galaxy, and universe around it.

Abiotic Mechanisms: Climate which includes precipitation & temperature, minerals and rock, UV radiation, Visible Solar radiation, location, non living organic molecules, dead animals and plants, CO 2, Oxygen and other gases, etc..

Biotic Mechanisms: Animals, Plants, Microbes, Bacteria, Viruses & Prions (okay these last two are debatable, but until the debate is solved I am putting them under biotic)

Food Chain: The single path an organism uses to gain substance. Example: Cow eats grass. What path and how an organism gets its food?

Food Web: The interactions between an organism and other organisms in an environment. Example: Cow and Goat compete over the grass. This is were the concepts of mutualism, competition, key species, and other key interaction concepts come in. What paths, how and why living things interact with each other to get their food? How living things regulate each other?

Food Web with Abiotic Mechanisms: This is basically the definition of Ecology. The big picture of how and why living things interact with their non-living factors? How Abiotic mechanisms regulate the biotic world.

I will defer all complex physics related questions to Al, since this is his area of expertise. I will also defer as much as I detest too, complex economic systems & market mechanisms to Jim Hayett since this is his area of expertise.

What I wrote today is pretty simple. There are many sub-disciplines within ecology, many of which are used professionally in Fisheries Management (FYI, Lake Michigan is the largest managed freshwater system in the planet), herd Management, Forest Management, etc…, very heavy on the population management side of the fence. Also, if you want to debate me on my opinion on how ecology is misused and the subject of ecology I suggest you do some more reading before coming back with an un-researched counter point. I have studied and worked in the field so I am talking from experience.

I want to leave you with a question, “What area or concepts of Ecology do “Free Market” proponents focus on the most?”

 This is some advice and a call to action for Obama, Democrats, and anybody who wants reform of the Private Insurance Industry.

The extreme rightwing who have basically taken over the Republican Party will and have shown “No Quarter” and will never ever be able to be brought to any form of sane or reasonable deal.

They do not want “Bi-partisanship” they do no want, “Compromise” and they have no respect for a “non-conservative point of view”.

The rightwing is at “War” and against anybody who does not agree with their stance, they say people who don’t agree with them are destroying this country and hint at the use of violence on almost a daily basis.

So, Democratically controlled Congress and Obama here is some advice,

“Shove the Healthcare bill down the Throats of Tea Baggers and Republicans”

The Republicans shoved legislation down your throat for the 8 years Bush was president and because the tea baggers and rightwing would have no qualms about doing the same, you can’t compromise with militant Christian extremists who hate you just for being left of far right.

                   No Regret, No Remorse, No Quarter.

When Bush left Office with a 1.2 trillion deficit?

Where were you when the Republicans borrowed billions from China to pay for their wars and un-fettered spending?

When the Congressional Republicans added billions of Pork to spending bills?

When the NSA spied on all of our communications without probable cause?

When our government used Torture as a means to gather intelligence, against our treaties and law?

When your government lied to you and started a war with Iraq?

When Republicans cried out against the Filibuster but now embrace it?

When the Bush Administration due to its lack of Regulation of the Financial Markets destroyed are economy, then bailed out the mega banks?

Why are you silent! When blatant racist bigot’s in your own movement ruin your reputation?

I know who you are now, a disjointed group of people suddenly angry at the perceived government abuses by the Democrats, scared to death of that the idea of sane economic policies fighting to correct the disaster of “Reaganomics” and “supply-side” control over the consumer.  The un-fettered greed and virtual casino the markets have become. You and your so called “values” are hard to take seriously because you stayed silent for long 8 years when a conservative Christian Republican held office and did the things you blame Obama for in his first year? Afraid of Big Brother….Right? Then why did you not speak out against Big Brother when he listened to your conversations without probable cause!   

 Another case of Situational Ethics, kind of like the same kind that the Republicans face now when they embrace the filibuster at the minority party, when they decried its use when they were the Majority.

 The Tea Bagger’s failure is a lack of consistency, when the same economic abuses you blame the Democrats for were already mastered by the conservatives you approved of and that you gave a free pass and stayed silent. I find it hard to find you people believable and clearly have mastered the art of hypocrisy. The evidence of your double standards, based purely on political lines and hatred of a government with Democrats in power, voted in by the vast majority of Americans, points out that your new found “patriotism” and love of “freedom & Liberty” is as partisan and transparent as your silent support for the rightwing abuses of the constitution during Bush’s eight year reign.

- In the greatest act of Conservative Judicial activism since the Dread Scott decision the Supreme Court said that Corporations have Free Speech rights and can spend as much money as they want to influence elections. Corporate money floods to the pro-corporate Republican party and official corporate sponsorships enacted to get money.

- President says god is behind all decision he makes, congress due to group discipline & ideology agree with the president and rubber stamp all legislation and executive demands.

- SCOTUS rules that NSA, FBI, NSA, Local Police actively spy on Americans. No court oversight needed to protect us from terrorists.

- US removes itself from the United Nations, funding stops, the United Nations falls apart, including it’s non-political charity programs.

-Government career workers that are not conservative are purged.

-High national debt, war, and economic depression used as a tool to keep the population worried about feeding there family, fear of terrorism, and keeping a job.

-Moderate republicans are purged from the ranks by more extreme Tea Baggers

-Republican Party re-absorbs the misguided Tea Baggers

- Jim H becomes Secretary of “Fighting liberal lies” and is very successful and tells the nation why he left liberalism in a book called “Why I left Liberalism, and so can you!” Makes millions.

-Public libraries defunded

-NPR, WPR, and public radio defunded

- Public TV defunded

- Congress gives the President power alone to appoint Supreme Court justices

-Congress ends many minority rights in the house and senate, including the ability to filibuster

-Congress passes legislation to make all signing statements law.

-Clean Air Act overturned

-All forms of gun control stripped.

-Clean Water Act overturned

-Row vs. Wade overturned

-Labor laws are gutted

-Department of Labor Defunded

-Head Start defunded

-ATF defunded

Blogging space must be bought, Alien Relay 2.0 can’t afford space nor get the government grants because he is not conservative, while “Fighting Liberal Lies”, and It’s Hemmer Time” become nationally recognized as defenders of the Republican & Conservative Majority.

-Immigration stopped to a trickle, government asks for high payments to get in. Illegal immigrants jailed and forced to work before they are deported.

-English only rule enacted

-Decency laws enacted, no exposed mid-drifs, cleavage, or ankles

-Pornography is made illegal

-Giant fence on both borders, deemed the Lou Dobbs memorial fence

- Minimum wage ended

-Work hour regulations ended

- Legal age for work is changed to Twelve

- Committee on un-american activities reformed. What is considered un-american / anti-american voted into law and enforced.

-Public air waves, internet bandwith, deemed private commodities.

-Education now deemed a privilege. Public education defunded and replace my choice schools.

-Money spent on police and National Guard sky rockets as crime and revulsion against the government rises.

-Prison system is privatized.

- All public land is privatized.

-Water is no longer a public resource. It is officially called a commodity and privatized.

-Programs against people who have liberal ideology launched by local conservatives. Murders and abuse not investigated by law enforcement.

-Water boarding and other forms of torture re-defined and enhanced interrogation techniques under the Alberto Gonzales definition.

- Scott walker, with corporate sponsorship is now called “Scott Walker official Subsidiary of the WMC” becomes Governor of Wisconsin and immediately cuts, income taxes by 50%, putting Wisconsin in a 50 billion dollar deficit. In order to keep the cuts, walker cuts most social programs including badger care, downsizes the DNR. He passes an executive order and privatizes all police services and prisons.

Years 20-40

-Christianity adopted as state religion

-Labor unions are outlawed.

-The Amy H act is passed, written by “Congressman United Healthcare Paul Ryan LLC”,   due to her power as a blogger. In which it states that “Liberalism is destroying America”, not stupid, the Republican Federal government understands that people who have liberal beliefs are the real target so Thought crimes against the Conservative state through legislation are now considered terrorism/socialism or communism, people are punished with jail or deportation.

-Open Borders are closed, air travel is restricted, political litmus test must be taken before and after trip.

-Middle class status only granted if ideological litmus test passed.

-High national debt, war, and economic depression used as a tool to keep the mass population fighting to survive.

-Homosexuality is criminalized, punishable by prison or deportation

-Mass purge of homosexuals from government positions.

-Private Army corporations take over all major military operations

-Theocratic Cabinet Member – A religion Czar added to cabinet

-Colleges ideologically reformed to reflect conservative thought by federal take over

-Cabinet secretary of University Balance is started

- IRS defunded, taxes collected by the executive branch

- Ann coulter, Michelle Malkin, & Blond Fox News Anchors federally enforced female sex symbol

- Health care deemed a privilege and not a right, Medicare defunded.

- Child work hours expanded, children for work reasons, are adults at the age of 10. For Crimes it is 8 years.

- All citizens must pass an ideological loyalty litmus test every year, much like the tests enacted in the justice department under GW Bush, to test allegiance.

- Remaining Federal employees with non-conservative POV, Purged from government and replace with conservatives ideological pure employees.

- Russia and USA and China and Iran have a close cozy relationship because they share similar ideological views and methods to control their populations...

- 1 or 2 major corporations own 65% of production in the USA. Congress votes corporations who make over 50 million a year as “Alpha citizens” and people who make over 10 million. Alpha incurs special privileges and their votes are weighted more depending upon their final income. Since money counts as free speech per a SCOTUS ruling in the 1980’s

-Congressional oversight role now completely forfeit to executive branch.
- Rush Limbaugh launches his state sponsored university for advanced conservative studies. Liberals are mock beheaded and tortured.

Years 40-60

- Citizenship only granted to those who have served in the military.

-Conservatives that are not conservative enough are purged from government.

-Camps are created for the ideologically impure. These camps offer redemption and ideological education. Again, guests must work off their ideological crimes and take many tests.

-Religious war launched to take back the holy land for Christians.

-Science and research must be concurrent and fit with religious doctrine.

- Presidents can be elected for up to 30 years

- Senators and congressman are voted in for life

-Governor’s are appointed by the president.

-Non-conservative forms of thought labeled as terrorist/socialist/communism. Magazines, websites, blogs shut down. People who started them are deported to live in Cuba or Venezuela.

-Democratic Party deemed terrorist/socialist sympathizers. Leaders imprisoned and others deported.

- All federal health/education/poor social programs defunded. Private charity is enforced by law.

-Bill Clinton is now considered the devil, and was publicly executed for infidelity by Newt Gingrich and his legal mistress that his wife does not like.

-History books re-written to reflect religious conservative ideology, Democratic or liberal leaning ideas purged.

- President receives mantel as national religious leader as well as secular chief executive. Department of religious purity answers directly to president now becomes part of secret service.

- Department of Education enforces religious education in choice schools. Books and material must be deemed appropriate. Pat Robertson, with his age enhanced, leads department.

-During work hours only AM conservative radio can be listened to by employees.

- Criminals forced to work off their sentences by being farmed out to government or corporate needs. All rights are considered forfeit if a felony is committed.

- Rush Limbaugh launches his state sponsored university for advanced conservative studies. Liberals are water-boarded for practice at the Conservative Police School.

Years 60-80

-Fundamentalist form of Christianity adopted as national religion, all other religious, forms of life philosophies and Christian sects suppressed and leaders deported or executed.

-Adult age is changed to 8 to increase the working legal immigrant population.

-Citizenship and amount of rights dependent on income and ideological purity.

- Ronald Reagan Day& GW Bush Day, enforced by law and gun point.

-Women are regulated to certain type of work roles to follow suit with the official federal religion

-Amy deemed not conservative enough and deported for defending conservative women’s work rights, and is replaced by AJ Johnsen.

- Department of Religious purity formed, all other forms of religion banned from public expression.

- Center or left leaning political thought and historical actions purged from history books.

- Truth in sentencing is resurrected via biblical terms. Women who commit adultery are stoned to death, thieves get their hands cut off, blinded if you look at pornography, if you talk against the state your tongue is cut out.

- DNA is no longer used in court, said to be immoral.

- People are guilty before be proven innocent.

-Court appointed defense attorneys are no longer granted. If a person can’t pay for a lawyer, they have to defend themselves.

Years 80-100

- Religious & Ideological inquisitors acting with immunity and as judge, Jury, and executioner are commisioned and can have full power of the government to up-root resistance cells and outlawed religious practices.

- The United Sates name changed to the “United Christian States of America”

-Military and theological service is enforced by law.

- Women are forced to live in their biblical roles and be subservient to men. Are now only allowed to be teachers of females and secretaries. Strong women and influential conservative women purged from history textbooks and the public record.

-100 years not deemed long enough to fix the damage done by Barak Obama,  Democrats, and liberals created from 2004-2010. Constitution changed to reflect this and Republican majority gives itself 1,000 more years.

If spending money equals Free Speech, and Corporations which on average have more money than a person and while that Corporation which is treated with nearly the same rights as a living breathing American; Does this not mean the quantity of free speech you have now can be equated with the amount of money you have?

Corporation = American Citizen

Money = Speech

Corporations > Free Speech

American Citizen < Free Speech

 Why are corporations and special interests groups, who are not living people, nor actual citizens, have nearly the same free speech rights as I have as a living breathing individual American? Why does Exxon or the AFL-CIO given the same rights that I have other than voting?

 Of course with the Corporate Friendly Supreme Court, I’m sure voting rights for corporations are just around the corner ( you laugh now!).

   Could this have been the reason WHY corporations and special interests were regulated in the first place, because they do not share the thing the 350 million + American’s share in common: That we are living sentient beings who not only aspire to live a comfortable life and make money like corporations, but that we love, eat, and Die..., we are creatures of biology and our environment and not a construct of a man-made economic system that does not require Oxygen to survive.

Can some one tell me when Exxon had to go bankrupt to treat the lung cancer it got? Or when Exxon willing paid the Families in Alaska for the environmental damage for the incompetence of their oil from the Exxon Valdez, rather than going to court to get it fixed in their Favor?

How about when McDonalds Corp had to spend its weekly income on food to feed its 2.3 Children?

Or when DuPont through incompetence, willing and remorsefully, paid millions to the family of the dead in Bapol India?

How about the remorse and sorrow Halliburton felt after its faulty and incompetent wiring of US military bases in Iraq killed US service people?

Or when Blackwater willing gave the victims families millions to make up for their loved ones that were unjustly murdered by its employee’s?

Corporations and Special Interest Groups are “non-living” and are not barred by the frailties of “being alive” that make us human beings, not imbued or burdened with a brain, heart, or conscious, or a finite life set by biology or ended prematurely because of disease or violence. The vast majority of corporations only strive to perpetuate themselves or for there goals by any means necessary in our “so called capitalist free market”!

 We barely have power over Corporations and Special interest groups due to un-fettered lobbying as it was before this decision. You will find out this election and campaign season you will now have even less power over your elected officials, and your personal contributions will be dwarfed by the heavy power players, because as we have seen that in order to play the game of politics and advertise with ALL forms of media you need millions to win a seat.

Let’s be honest. Decorum and mutual respect for other people and their opinions is dead in our country when it comes to ideological politics.

Let’s also be honest that hardcore partisans from both the leftwing and rightwing hate each other and live in a world detached from everyday concerns and common sense policies most Americans want.

I am no exception, I sling mud and insults back at others. At first I thought is was justified, but now I have realized that it is a never ending cycle. Blame and responsibility is in the hands of both sides. If you play the game YOU are part of the problem. I’ve been attacked and I retaliated, I justified lowering myself using personal attacks to full-fill a vendetta and that is all it was; a self feeding system of anger and hate that never ends. A never ending tiny cloned microcosm replaying the disaster of the war between the left and right at the federal level.

I did not consider myself a hardcore ideologue or partisan until recently. Until I listened to some music by the Subhuman’s that made me realize what I believed in my early twenties and what I have become now.

 What did I believe about government and corporate powers?

 “Democratic governments become corrupt because they end up being co-opted by large corporations and the rich ruling elites that most politicians are part of.”, after doing some reflection, not much has changed from 1989 to 2010, just the party in power and bickering over social policy.”

 Yes, social policy by the way is what keeps the non-elite ideolouges fighting over low hanging fruit, while the top 5% of Americans get away with whatever economic thievery they want by fixing the “rules” to favor them.

 I still believe this, except that in order to change the system, you have to be active and not only change it from without but change it from within. When you divorce yourself from the process and the system, you effectively render yourself obsolete and useless; That by being proactive is the only way to effect changes to the structure and system of government.

On the Rightwing and Conservatives:

 Unfortunately, because they lost bad in the 2008 election cycle Republicans and Conservatives decided to Divorce themselves from the Democratic process by not even trying to effect change by offering “their” ideas and working “with” the democrats. By saying “NO” all the time, they have made themselves obsolete in the “legislative” process; Republicans have effectively made themselves obsolete, seceding their elected responsibility to their constituents to the democrats. It’s a petty tactic and is failing.

 You can’t effect changes by taking yourself out of the process. You can’t change the system by being reactive. The Policy of “NO” from the right is exactly what this country does not need at this time. Ideological purity will kill your party and is killing it now because you have no moderates that can actually cut deals and work with moderate Democrats; well, maybe except for Scott Brown.

 Ideological Purges are just going to isolate you more into a mob of angry bitter people, happily isolated in a fantasy world of “us vs. them” and justify winning by “any-means necessary” since anyone to the left of you will be considered morally and ethical inferior. Wake up! You lost the 2008 elections, take responsibility for the reasons for the loss, fix them, but you gain nothing from isolating yourselves!

Oh and drop the Bigot’s that support you. Support from those people does your side no good.

On Blogging, LLC, and the Banning of the “Hypatian Shore”:

            People are not going to be receptive to your positions if you insult them. For instance, labeling all pro-choice people “baby killers” is a sure fire way to kill a debate. Calling liberals “communists” is another way to kill debate, while calling conservatives “Neanderthals” and “Fascists” does exactly the same. Scoring cheap political points in a 2 second sound bite by misrepresenting or smearing is another way to kill debate, etc… They will not show your views respect because they will not respect you. Disagreement should not be a trigger for personal attacks. It takes more power and more discipline to take the higher ground than the low ground and it is possible to fight back without lowering standards. A lesson I forgot about, but hope to take back.

Let’s face it people do not like to deal with concepts or evidence that contradicts their world view. We prefer to listen to those who re-enforce what we believe. The mainstream media “knows’ this and it is played out day after day by opinion based pundits who filter it for us, to make it easy and marketable. And this paridigram is played out day after day by the bloggers and posters of this blog site and this is exactly what JS wants this is why the “Discussion Rules” are not enforced.

    The Journal Sentinel Corporation ethical standards are dismal when it comes to blog forums, which leads me to why my brother’s final blog was banned.

Exhibit A: The Actual Blog - On Plant Hayett™, First Citizen Hayett goes about his day in utter adulation of himself, casting alms to his ego, and aspersions to his perceived enemies. On Plant Hayett™, First Citizen Hayett does not recognize the very words he uses when he attacks others, because reality is dependent upon the sheer idiocy of First Citizen Hayett alone. Most people assume that Plant Hayett™ is a lonely place, but when a person, like First Citizen Hayett,makes his home there, there can be no room for anyone else. First Citizen Hayett™ + Planet Hayett™. Where masturbation is the only ritual of the day and idiocy has been trademark.

Scott Petersen basically warns Matt in his e-mail back that he pulled the following comment(s) off the site (at Jim or Amy). If you use this kind of language again, I will take your blog down.

Matt’s reply: I really don't care Scott. Hayett invites the abuse and you are surprised at the reaction? Perhaps you need to remind Hayett the rules. He doesn't follow them, and when my brother and I make a case about the abusive language, what do you do? You allow it. Please.

Scotts Replies that he has taken the blog down because Matt has violated the “terms of use agreement”, and he was sorry.”

 Here’s the only part in the agreement we all signed that has very blunt teet: “Representations and Warranties: Submitter hereby represents and warrants that: (a) it is the original author or creator of the Submitted Content, (b) it has full power and authority to execute this Release and to grant the rights granted herein, (c) no other consents, authorizations or payments are necessary to permit Media Company’s full use and enjoyment of the rights granted herein, and (d) the use of any element of the Submitted Content will not violate or infringe upon the trademarks, trade names, copyrights, patents, rights or privacy or publicity or any other personal or proprietary rights of any person or entity, and shall not defame or libel any person or entity. 

As you can see Matt said nothing that was against the “terms of use” agreement that we all sign to blog. Unless the word “masturbation” was the issue, but Scott Petersen never makes clear to Matt “what” language was at issue and what part of the “terms of use” Matt actually broke in his blog. Yet, why does Scott target Matt’s “comments” instead?

 If Matt broke one of these, Scott never ever clarified which part of the user agreement he broke! And if you will see part (d) does not even apply to Bloggers but by the use of the Bloggers content by LLC and JS online.

Exhibit B: Slanders & Insults - Meanwhile Jim Hayett not only slanders me and other bloggers but freely defames posters as well. His behavior is present in his blog record. I suggest you do some research, before guffawing me. I don’t think I need to go over all the examples but here is a clear example of Slander if not a case of Libel, “"Jacob...you and these liberal understudies probably all carry Hitler pictures in your wallet and right next to bin laden."  Jim Hayett

Here Jim explains WHY he is justified in using insults on a day to day basis: “But my choices of words are “liar, dumb, stupid, idiot, ignorant, and hypocrite.” I may have left a few out due to my memory loss, but never have I stooped to the level you and others have used on me or my family. But when I call you, CD, Onlyoneme, and others a “liar” or a “hypocrite,” I have facts to back those words up. Jake, when I called you a “pathetic liar” I did so because I caught you lying, again, about Bush’s tax cuts.

Well Jim on Planet Earth when you label a person with these adjectives, ““liar, dumb, stupid, idiot, ignorant, and hypocrite.”, no matter how you rationalize it,  They all are Insults clearly defined by discussion rules and if we are to take Scott Petersen’s reasoning then Jim would be guilty of the of “terms-of-use” agreement because you had made “de-famitory statements about me” The same agreement that Matt supposedly broke!

Exhibit C: Threats – There was Physical Threat allowed to published by Jim Hayett against me which spurred the Discussion rules in the First place. My original e-mail on 4/10/09:

Dear Erin,

 I have to respectfully disagree with you.

 He actually threatened the use of violence against me and Jim allowed him to as well. I find it hard to believe that JS Corporation should take these actions so lightly. 1) A poster making a physical threat, 2) a Blogger letting this sort of threat to be posted on the site.

 Should not both of these people be held to task for this sort of behavior? How is this behavior ethical? How in one instance you slap Matt's hand for the Google thing, but at the same time ignore the obvious threat against my person and Jim who has allowed for this threat to be posted?

  Could you at least provide me with the LLC blog guidelines, for both posters and bloggers? I would like to review them myself and if I must take this situation into my own hands.

 I realize you get fire from the right-wingers on this blog site for being biased and they push you all the time, playing the refs on you to get an outcome they want.

   Threats are different.

  I have never complained before, not even as a poster for being treated with disrespect, but the threat goes too far.

Jim, via a poster via his Blog that he had “complete” control over, threatened me! How is a “threat” even before the ”Discussion Rules” were written not a “huge” breach of ethics? Why was Jim not reprimanded by having his blogging rights, taken away for even a WEEK!

 Exhibit B: Swear words - There is also another time where Jim used the word “bastard” a clear swear word in our language and Scott Petersen made excuses for Jim. I have it all in e-mail and is well documented. Scott would not enforce “Discussion” guidelines on Jim Hayett.

So why is Jim Hayett allowed to continually break the Discussion Rules and use Libel or defamitory language against me and other poster on LLC blogs without any repercussions from the Editor of LLC Blogs? It simply does not follow the precedent and rational that Scott Petersen set by banning the “The Hypatian Shore”.

THERE IS A CLEAR DOUBLE STANDARD AND A DIFFERENT SET OF RULES ON LLC BLOGS THAT FAVORS JIM HAYETT.

It is a well known fact between LLC bloggers Victor, Jeff, Sally Pla, Chris, and Me that Jim and Amy, on more than one occasion, tried to get Matt kicked off via complaining to Erin Mellone. There is one instance when Matt got his handle stolen and Jim and Amy did all they could to publicly slander Matt, even after Erin cleared Matt of all wrong doing. How was that not a breach of “discussion rules”!

I can only think of one solution: My theory is that Jim and Amy pushed Scott Petersen to ban Matt from Blogging on LLC. It is also well known that many of Waukesha Counties Christians were offended by “The Hypatian Shore’s”, criticism of Christianity and view on Atheism. I think he succumbed to the pressure to placate the angry mob to get them off his back!  He as the ref and in sports terms, was played.

How hard was Scott Petersen pushed to have “The Hypatian Shore” banned?

It is Clear the Scott Petersen, even when there’s overwhelming evidence of Jim Hayett’s abuses above and beyond the word “masturbation”, and far after Matt was banned, will not “Hold” Jim Hayett to the standards in the Discussion Rules or whatever supposed “terms of use” agreement that Matt supposedly broke?

By refusing to hold “Fighting Liberal Lies” and Jim to the same Standard as Matt’s “Hypatian Shore” is has exposed the “bias” of LLC Blogs.

Living Lake Country Blogs and its editor has what appears to be a “conservative bias”, and for The Journal Sentinel, the parent company this is exactly what they wanted, to cater to the very conservative people of “Waukesha County”.

Yet it’s not that simple…“The Hypatian Shore” being banned was a mistake, and the editor of LLC Blogs knows it, it was for months and months in the top 5 hit blogs on the site before Erin was fired, it kept people coming to the website. This is the reason I have not been banned for personally attacking Jim Hayett and and This is the reason WHY with my last salvo of personal attacks on Jim, nothing has been done. I have felt no repercussion from LLC. WHY?

Because if I am kicked off it “instantly proves” conservative bias and It is far more entertaining to see me bash Jim Hayett, have him retaliate, then you pick your champion and watch us ” hit each other over the head with verbal clubs” rather than actually “discuss” an issue that may wreck your world view or change your opinion. We are being used as “political theatre”. It’s far easier to let us “Bash” each other than to have to do the work of enforcing standards on the bloggers and posters of the LLC blog forum. It’s pathetic and disgraceful.

 And this is the reason why I am leaving:

   I am not a hardcore ideologue and do not want to become one.  You can’t effect change by sitting on the side lines writing a blog trying to communicate with the rightwing who are uninterested in discussion or compromise because they are so lost in the woods that they have no idea what they really stand for, that’s why all we are left with is bitterness and anger. Preaching to the converted may be self-gratifying but praise does nothing to change anything. I am going to start being proactive and actually do something productive with my time to effect change. It starts at the “grass roots”.

   This is my Final blog for LLC because I am unwilling to be part of the mud fight of the JS business model by pitting the right and left against each other to create profits and I do not want to make them profits by doing their dirty work for free. I’m sure some of you will be happy I’m leaving; I only ask that you hold the bloggers you like to the same standards you dangle me from my ankles by! Okay? That means scolding them when they attack or insult others.

  I am leaving LLC Blogs because I have learned that “I” am part of the problem and not a solution. In other countries ideologues take their hatred of each other to the streets were they kill and beat each other up over political disagreements, I do not want to be part of this when the “WAR” between the left and right becomes violent and is taken to our street, or justify a murder while condemning it! I will not justify or condemn actions through the blinders of “ideology”, a sure fire way to enforce a double standard. A double standard I have seen far far to often on these blogs. This is anathema to “me” and a path that I do not wish to follow.

One last thing: Lake Country, Waukesha County, you need to start taking care of your water resources, your aquifer’s are low, polluted, and full of radon, your lakes chock full of invasive species that destroy the ecosystems and crowd out bio-diversity. This is the legacy of a 3 acre perfect green lawn watered weekly, fertilized and chemically treated to kill pests. Exponential consumption of resources with lax regulatory oversight caused this problem and you have no one to blame but yourselves and the Politicians that you voted for.

Matt just told me why you left; due to Amy's bullying of you.

I am sick and tired of the way these 2 treat other's they do not agree with. I ask that if you can, please add your reasons why you left and if you felt bullied on the Blog site. Matt left becuase of this also.

I know this may seem trivial, but they have to be stopped or at least JS to realize their actions.

Hi Jake,
Yeah, I stopped blogging because they were too nasty for me. I"m a weenie. :-) It was just getting too hard to stay positive. A few of my friends counseled me to stop -- they couldn't figure out why I'd bother -- sort of like banging your head against the wall. And then, what do you know, it feels so good when you stop. :-)

It does bother me to realize that they are still out there spreading all kinds of misinformation. But I have to say, I am heartened that all the Rush Limbaugh wannabes out there are being exposed and discredited these days for the negative, nasty influences that they are. Too many -- the vast majority, in fact -- of Americans want to work for positive change. To hell with the mudslingers.
