This is what Democracy looks like!!!
Congratulations to Governor Scott Walker and Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch in their solid victories on June 5th!!!
Wisconsin IS moving forward.
The good people of Wisconsin turned out in droves to support the Governor and Lt. Governor -
- in spite of the months of obnoxious protests and bad behaviors from unionistas/libs/Dems/anti-Walker folks in the state capitol and elsewhere
- in spite of all the out-of-state focus and millions of dollars funneled in to oust Walker from the big unions and politicians, including the Obama White House
- in spite of the sleazy and despicable campaign run by Mayor Trolley Tom Barrett of Milwaukee (Barrett really does have some apologizing to do to Governor Walker for his bad and disrespectful behavior. At least FINALLY during his concession speech, Barrett referred to Walker as "Governor!" That was a first!)
- in spite of the in-your-face recall petitioners and intimidation from the left across the state
- in spite of Voter ID being temporarily blocked by liberal activist judges from the People's Republic of Madison
- in spite of the last-minute garbage from the left, claiming Walker had a "love child." Claiming that Walker was going to be indicted in the never-ending laugher of a "John Doe" investigation. Claiming robo-calls were going out on election day from the Republicans telling people they didn't need to vote if they signed a recall petition...what a hoot!
- in spite of out-of-staters from Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, and other states, being bussed to Wisconsin on election day to "help"
- in spite of the leftie "get out and vote" (early and often!) efforts
WOW!!!
It is truly a great day for our state!!!
What's next? Well, Wisconsin has officially become a "Republican state." (You can bet that Democrat Tammy Baldwin (running for the U.S. Senate) and President Barack Obama are on shaky ground...) The momentum will continue to grow as Walker's reforms continue to improve the state's fiscal and business climate. People seem to like less government and lower taxes...and this WILL catch on nationwide. Wisconsin is leading the way for the rest of the nation. We can be proud - we saved our state and the reverberations from the recall election WILL be felt across the country.
Next up - November!!!
THIS IS WHAT DEMOCRACY LOOKS LIKE!!! :)
A "thank you" letter to the left
The following letter was discussed on conservative talk radio host (WISN AM-1130) Vicki McKenna's show today and is making the rounds via e-mails, too. The author did talk to Vicki and did not want their name put out there. (Wonder why? :)).
Regarding the recall elections and past 16 months in which Wisconsin was held captive by a minority of anti-Walker folks - please enjoy the following:
Thank you! What an election! We couldn't have done it without you. Without your tantrums, outbursts and boorish behavior we might have stayed home for this election. Without your filthy, pot smoking hemp-headed minions occupying and violating the Capitol we might have been complacent. Without your obnoxious protests, boycotts and other actions from your union playbook, we might have sat this one out.
But you couldn't hold back. You couldn't restrain yourselves and behave like adults. You couldn't accept the 2010 election results. We sat and watched as you erupted in a juvenile hissy fit that embarrassed Wisconsin . The spectacle you created is what motivated us. And thanks to your ill-mannered behavior, we won. We turned out. Big time! And now we are organized and energized. Committed. "All in". And we aren't going away. We now have our own organizations (no dues required), an army of volunteers and the means to communicate. And countless new sources of funding, including a donor base from all 50 states. And we have "Verify The Recall" to ferret out your infiltrators in our future local elections.
So thank you Mike Tate, Graeme Zielinski , Fred " Loonie " Levenhagen , Ismael Ozanne , Maryanne Sumi , Noble Ray, Charles Tubbs , Joanne Kloppenberg , Segway Boy, John Chisolm , public employee union members, UW TA's , WEAC , SEIU , MTI , AFSCME Council 24 in Union Grove and WI prison guards,. Thanks for the death threats, the intimidation, the bullying, belligerence, thuggery and goonish behavior. The lack of ethics and the failure to enforce rules and laws. Thank you for putting your selfish, greedy motives on display for all taxpayers to see.
Your antics might have made you feel good but they didn't make you look good. They sickened the rest of us.
Thank you Shirley Abrahamson and Ann Walsh Bradley. Your petty politics woke us up. Thank you Miles Kristan for dumping the beer on Robin Vos's head. Thank you University doctors for writing the phony excuses; Madison teachers for calling in sick or dragging your students to the protests without permission. Thank you Katherine Windels for making death threats against the Governor. The noontime capitol singers who taunted Sheboygan high school students. Thank you WEA Trust for raping Wisconsin taxpayers. Thank you Gwen Moore for your embarrassing minstrel show. And thanks all of you for harassing the Walker family at their private home.
You have all been exposed. Your tactics have been rejected. Your bad behavior has been forever captured on You Tube.
Thank you Peter Barca and fellow Assembly members for donning your foolish orange T-shirts and screaming "shame" at legislators just doing their jobs.
Thank you Mark Miller and all 14 senators for fleeing the state and making fools of yourselves in the process. Illinois needed a few more village idiots. Thanks for showing us what democracy doesn't look like.
And Mayor Barrett. How grateful we are that you chose one low road after another in your issue-less campaign against the Governor. This was your strike three. You are out. Take a seat on the bench and stay there. I have a hunch this was your final at-bat.
All of you helped turn Wisconsin permanently red. Your Governor, Scott Walker, will not just complete his first term, he is all but assured as many future terms as he seeks. He will be your governor for a long, long time. Get used to it. And his national "rock star" status just might lead him to be your President some day. Just think, it couldn't have happened without you! So to all of you blue fisters , thank you from the bottom of my happy, red heart.
Sincerely,
A Wisconsin taxpayer
-------------------------------------
Wow!!! Bravo! The author most certainly deserves a standing ovation for saying what a majority of Wisconsinites have been thinking all along!
One thing I would like to add, that the "Wisconsin taxpayer" omitted from his/her letter - a big shout-out and "thank you" needs to go to President Barack Obama. After all - he was the reason for the start of the Tea Parties. He was the reason for many people who, in the past, had been indifferent when it came to our elected officials and politics in general. The President of the United States - with his socialist agenda - woke an angry and concerned sleeping giant. He woke up the people who were, for years, content to believe that the principles upon which the country was founded were not threatened - till we discovered otherwise once Obama got his agenda going.
So - a big "THANK YOU" to Barry Obama & Co. Enjoy your last few months in office, Mr. Obama, because shortly you and Michelle (who was never proud of her country till hubby ran for prez) will be packing your bags and heading back to Chi-town.
Good riddance!

Thank you, Andrea Mitchell
MSNBC and reporter Andrea Mitchell have given us all yet another classic example of liberal media bias. Please watch and enjoy the lamestream media attempting to smear Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney in the video below. The first part is what viewers watching MSNBC originally saw - a clip of Romney edited to make him look foolish and out of touch with the "real folk."
However, once we get past the cut-and-splice job, the actual context of Romney's remarks becomes clear when shown in its entirety. Mitt Romney was simply making a point that the private sector works more efficiently, smarter, and cost-effectively than the public sector. Yet, MSNBC and Andrea Mitchell attempted to turn this into something else - with Mitchell laughing at Romney's remarks after the VERY edited film clip shown on MSNBC.
Thankfully, due to the Internet, talk radio, conservative websites, and simple word-of-mouth, this pathetic attempted distortion of Romney's words has gone viral. Now we are laughing at how idiotic Mitchell and MSNBC look.
MSNBC has some 'xplainin' to do...
Enjoy! And thanks, Andrea Mitchell, for yet another wonderful example of media bias...

Try as I may...

...except for the fact that informed voters once again gave Governor Scott Walker and Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch well-deserved victories in the waste-of-taxpayer-money recall elections.
With the upcoming election of Mitt Romney as the 45th President of the United States, Americans will prove that they have been paying attention to what has been going on in our nation. The majority of people will vote to save the United States from the damages of the Obama presidency and want to elect a man who truly is proud of the country he will represent. Romney plans to get America back on the path to prosperity and freedom.
Life is good in Wisconsin, with Walker leading the way. Come November, America as a nation is set to right a horrible wrong. Mitt Romney will lead the country out of the Obama malaise and we will all be better off.

All is not lost...
Alright, I admit I was as shocked as most Americans that the United States Supreme Court did not do its job and uphold the Constitution in regards to Obamacare. Instead, five activist justices voted to give Obama and the Democrats a green light to do whatever they want. For some reason, I believed the court would do the right thing - get politics out of the way and protect the Constitution as they had pledged. (I know the four liberals on the court don't care diddly about the Constitution, but I had faith in Roberts and the other four conservative justices). Sadly, I was wrong. After digesting the disappointing news, I managed to come up with several bright spots. So, as my blog title states: all is not lost!
Chief Justice John Roberts seems to have gone off the deep end and crossed over to the dark side. Either that, or he just wants to be loved - aspiring to become the darling of the lefties and new BFF of Barry Obama. I have no clue why. Roberts - and the four liberal judges of the court who voted with him - did not do their jobs to uphold the Constitution of the United States. On the other hand, the four justices who voted against Obamacare made it very clear that the "mandate," as well as Obamacare in general, is unconstitutional. And how the "mandate" suddenly morphed into a "tax" (which Obama and Co. always denied it was) is suspect. If the mandate IS now a tax - America has just gotten served with the biggest tax bill in history.
Yes, this is a very disturbing day in the history of the nation.
But don't give up hope entirely.
This may be a temporary "victory" for Obama (and he will "spike the football" for as long as he wants, classless narcissist that he is), but Mitt Romney is waiting in the wings to repeal the entire thing. Many people are pinning their hopes on a Romney victory and this ruling will really serve to motivate even more people to get out and support Romney and other Republican candidates running for offices across the nation.
Romneys words immediately following the court ruling:
"What the court did not do on last day in session, I'll do on my first day as president and act to repeal Obamacare."
And come November, the silent majority of all the Americans who want Obamacare repealed will have their chance to elect Romney.
I equate this temporary victory for Obama/Obamacare to the pseudo-victory of liberal John Lehman over Republican Van Waangard for the 21st district state senate seat in Racine in the recent recall election. (As a side note: The election results have yet to be certified in that race, since Van Waangard asked for a recount. In addition, the voting procedures in Racine are highly suspect as to how voting rules were ignored, and everything is still a mess. Police are investigating various reports of questionable activities in the Racine area race. Reports of voter fraud and chaos - with some 4,000 plus "same day voter registrations" (lots of cars/vans with Illinois plates in the area, too, on voting day - wonder what that was all about??) overwhelming poll workers.) Even if Lehman pulls out an "Al Franken-style" victory, it's meaningless. Sure, the Wisconsin Senate may have a Democratic majority - but it is an empty win. The legislators are on hiatus until January. Elections are coming in November which indicate that the Republicans will become the majority in the Wisconsin senate once again. So what did John Lehman really win (if he is indeed victorious after all is finalized in Racine)? A temporary job for a few months - with nothing to do. This is akin to the Obamacare ruling today. A temporary victory - but meaningless with the election of Republican Mitt Romney.
Even in the face of this blatant disregard for the Constitution, I still have faith that right will triumph over wrong come November. If Republicans and conservatives and Tea Party members - who have been very motivated all along - become (as I believe they will) even more determined to ensure a Romney/Republican victory in November, Obamacare will have served a purpose. Not to make the government more powerful - but to motivate Americans to take back our country - take it back from big government and the socialists currently in power. Take it back from the brink of disaster. And that will be a good thing.
Just as so many of us were on Cloud Nine after Governor Walker rightly won the recall election a few weeks ago, the "pro-entitlement, pro-big government" crowd is gloating today. I say, let them gloat. And in a way, to really look on the bright side, Mitt Romney couldn't have asked for a better campaign issue to use in the months leading up to November.
Perhaps as we once thanked Barack Obama for motivating complacent Americans to stand up to protect the country from him and his socialist policies - with the birth of the Tea Parties - we should consider thanking the United States Supreme Court. Today, with this shameful ruling, they have providing yet another lightning rod to get even more complacent Americans off their red-white-and-blue butts and work hard to elect Republicans and conservatives in November to save our country!
We can save America - with our votes in November.
