News, Information and Ideas on how to deal with hearing loss in a hearing world. Plus a few other topics!
Where some of the money is going
I've been knee deep in medical insurance research and happened to find an interesting link via the U.S. Health and Human Services website. For those of you thinking that Wisconsin is losing out on Grant monies via the HHS, you are wrong. Here's the link : http://taggs.hhs.gov/AdvancedSearchResults.cfm
Just type in Wisconsin in the Keyword box at the top of the page and it will bring up all of the Grants given to the Wisconsin Public and Private entities.
If you live in another State and would like to see how you are doing, just take the above link and go to the search page. Type in the name of your State as the keyword and all of your pages will come up. Wisconsin has 26 pages of Grants that were given out for 2010 alone. We should all be doing great based on the amount of money that has been sent our way. Sadly, I did not see any public or private entities that were using any of the monies for hearing loss.
For those of you looking for some more money, this link will also allow you to go back to the main page for HHS and check to see what Grants are available.
If you are wondering what opportunities there are in other Federal Agencies for Grant money, here's the link: http://www.grants.gov/search/search.do;jsessionid=WZGGMkQbXz2fQG0GPQP2twGkVMQnBFlbpKf0YvqWhWjLHBJK2dDf!520440642?mode=SORTBYOPENDT
This is the Grants.gov website. Unfortunately, I was not able to see what Grants have been awarded and to whom on this website. There are 26 different Federal Agencies that have Grant Opportunities. TWENTY - SIX.....
