Wisonsin moves to #24 from #41 under Governor Walker
WI moves to #24 from #41 under Governor Walker as best state to do business in according to CEO Mag. since 2010: Wisconsin and Louisiana posted the two biggest gains since 2010. By contrast, Illinois has dropped 40 places in five years and is now in a death spiral. Its bond ranking is 49th, ahead of only California. The state may play host to fugitive state senators from nearby Wisconsin and Indiana who avoid voting in their home legislatures, but businesses are heading for the exits

You think those 14 Democrats who so cowardly hid in IL so not to vote on moving Wisconsin away from bankruptcy might just move there? Heck, our state democrats act and talk like it’s good to move a US state into chaos and bankruptcy.Maybe we should send them there?

Stop what?
"then the rest of the USA "
Yeah we wont stop until everyone is ..... welll ...... ahhh...... what?
I crown thee King of Gibberish.
Blog topic wise, Im not surprised, as that was my main reason to support Walker. But rating as a best state to do business in, and having a sizable net influx of new business are 2 different things.

more attractive to businesses? Did he lower the corporate tax rate?

Why don't you ask the CEO mag and the CEO's why? Start with adding 24,000 new jobs, cutting the union hold on our government, and then working on getting us out of the near $4 trillion dollar debt your man Doyle put us in before he left.

I removed your "gibberish" because it has nothing to do with the blog post. Facts got you too??

You of all people should stop whining and enjoy the fact that WI is starting to grow and slowly move out of the disaster we were in. Regardless who is Gov.

considered a wide range of criteria, from taxation and regulation to workforce
quality and living environment". Okay, fair enough. So, let's do some
comparisons.
If you compare #24 Wisconsin to #48 Illinois, you'll notice that not only is the
corporate tax rate lower in Illinois, the personal income tax rate is less than half
of that of Wisconsin. All of the other criteria appear to be somewhat close, with
the exception of the violent crime rate, which is two and a half times higher in
Illinois. One might be inclined to say: well, that explains why Wisconsin fares so
much better than Illinois, quality of life trumps lower tax rates. But then how does
one explain the #8 rating given to a state (SC) that has a violent crime rate 35%
higher than Illinois?
It's a head-scratcher to me...

read the previous post and things make sense . Well. To normal people anyway .

Lets see if you can give a straight answer without being oily.
"Than did it also not make "little sense" when Doyle and your democrats pushed WI into the lower percentile, cesspool for quality states to move to?"
Im having trouble parsing this sentence.

That question is not that difficult. Let me make it easy for you. Wi, under Doyle, moved down to the mid 40's (that's out of 52, not 57 according to Obama). Did that make "little sense" too? You keep avoiding the obvious: Wi is moving up and quickly. Why can't you accept that and appreciate it? because it's not from the people you voted for and trusted in?

lose its #8 ranking:
"South Carolina has a 6% state sales tax but when combined with local, county
and hospitality taxes South Carolina has a maximum sales tax of 10.5%.
In Charleston, the tax rate equals 10.5% with state tax, county tax, local option
tax, and the hospitality tax. The City of Myrtle Beach states that mixed liquor
drinks can have taxes added as high as 16.5%."
