A yard sign for the times and more...
Thanks to my conservative cousin, a Milwaukee policeman, for e-mailing me the following yard sign he recently came across while surfing the net. Given the wave of optimism sweeping our state with Governor Walker in charge - doing the right things to get our state fiscally sound and back on track - this sign adds a good boost of humor to keep the momentum growing.
Optimism and real "hope" seems to be spreading across the country - especially now that the chance is coming to get even more true conservative Republicans into government at the federal level and a strong conservative President.
As each day passes, it sure is looking like Obama has the potential to become a one-term president. (Keep golfing and tweeting, Barry!) Just continue to ignore the high unemployment rates, and the economy! Keep dissing our allies and kissing up to our enemies! Pay little attention to those pesky wars! And by all means, don't listen to Representative Paul Ryan (it's obvious you don't understand Ryan's common sense solutions to many the fiscal issues Americans are facing anyhow.) Obama's arrogance and narcissism will eventually do him in - if there is any justice. Barry and Michelle better try to squeeze in as many expensive date nights (paid for by the taxpayers, of course) and continue to live the high life they are enjoying, before they get the boot in 2012!

This is even more hilarious! ( Just received the following pic from a fellow blogger: Thanks, Jim Hayett!)

A large rented Bill board on the Interstate.
Very funny.
I don’t know if you listened to the radio this morning but it’s now Not Cool to Vote for Obama either.
He’s Uncool now. I know it sounds silly but they said many college students voted for him in 2008 cause he was cool and cause they wanted to make history voting for the 1st Black president.
Well now he’s not cool with them and many Democrats.
Too bad it took all of this to wake them up and realize their mistake not to mention the fact that he will make history, as the worst president we have ever had.
I don’t think that’s exactly what they had in mind for history making.

Not all Public union workers are thugs as a matter of fact the thugs are the one’s ticked off because now that this passed they won’t be able to line their pockets anymore.
Wait and see one by one they’re going to stop paying their dues it might be slow in the first year because of fear from their co unionists and peer pressure from coworkers but more and more are beginning to realize that there union was full of it. There’s already plenty out there some will drop it like a rock but some will give in to the pressure and keep doing what they do just because they know what will happen if they don’t.
It’s called fear.
Plenty of teachers are already complaining about the in home calls and pressure from coworkers and other union members.
Like the dinosaurs the union is about to die a slow painful death.
The ones your referring to are the ones that go on Facebook and declare they use the flag as toilet paper.
The ones that are calling for recall elections abusing what a recall is and should be used for.
None of these Republicans broke the law they did their jobs and for doing their jobs they now have to go through a recall that’s just plain Wrong.
Some not all union members have minds of their own they can think for themselves.
While I don’t think you’re a union thug I do think you’re a unionized person who believes everything your Fuhrer tells you

Spelosi: No, my cousin is not a union thug, nor are many of the teachers I worked with while subbing. They are a part of what could be called "the silent majority" - just like teachers who are conservative. They learn to keep quiet, for fear of what could happen if they speak out against the unions or libs in charge.
The times, however, are a changin' - for the better. Your nastiness is coming out, SPelosi - but I understand how difficult it is to be in your shoes these days, so I'll give you a pass for now.
Referee33: Shame shame shame! The Walker family, by all accounts, is a very nice family. The boys are good students and citizens. I wouldn't exactly criticize one of the Walker boys for going to Badger State - it is a very high honor. One has to exhibit leadership qualities while a junior in high school and be selected. Only 850 boys from all across the state are chosen to attend, and many famous Wisconsin politicians have been past Badger State attendees. You sound a bit like the media who bashes Sarah Palin's family. Shouldn't kids be off limits? Oh, that's right, they're from a conservative family! Then its OK!

Now I'm not saying the republican ticket looks good by any means, but what has Obama really done for you? Health care? That's all I can think of.

the unions or libs in charge."
Well, if you live in fear of reprisal from the unions or the libs in charge for daring
to express your opinion then you certainly don't fit the description of a thug ("a
cruel or vicious ruffian, robber, or murderer.") ... but then, who does? But let's
be clear about this, it is your side who coined the stupid phrase in an attempt to
demonize an entire group of people, a group of people who are for the most part
hard working and decent. How you can lecture me about nastiness while your
side is immersed in it is beyond me.
My apologies to your fearful cousin. I'll refer to him as union wimp from now on.

People, actually follow his link and see what it says. Yeah, this is a word alright, the internet told me so!
An erroneous word...not even a hundred years old...popularized by a comic radio program in the 30's....
Kind of like the word 'djeet'. Djeet yet? (did you eat yet?)
Thank you so much for setting me straight Palin, you wordsmith you.

Now, to me that does sound like you aren't happy with Walker OR his son ("just when you thought it couldn't get any worse") - who won the governer's post in a mock election at Badger State. Guess I missed the "humor" (wink wink).
And ref: many of us don't think balancing the state budget, ending the age of cushy, unbelievably great entitlements, benefits, and pensions (paid for by the taxpayers) for public employees, getting the safeguard against cheating at the polls - with Voter ID - in place, AND allowing people to conceal carry (as do 48 other states - that haven't morphed into the Wild Wild West, either) are "worse." Actually, I believe those who voted for Walker and the Republicans are very happy with what is going on in Madison right now. The legislation coming out is common sense, fiscally sound, and will get our state back on the right path after Doyle drove us into the ground.

And the best you can offer is to go after Sharpaxe's use of a certain word? Why not answer the question about WHY you voted for Obama? Would love to hear that response, rather than one of your petty retorts you seem to like so much.
