Of course the mainstream media has downplayed this recent gaffe by the "Commander-in Chief," Barry Obama. While in Fort Drum on Thursday, June 23rd, Obama was speaking to the troops and stated:
“First time I saw the 10th Mountain Division, you guys were in southern Iraq. When I went back to visit Afghanistan, you guys were the first ones there. I had the great honor of seeing some of you because a comrade of yours, Jared Monti, was the first person who I was able to award the Medal of Honor to who actually came back and wasn’t receiving it posthumously.”
Trouble was, Jared Monti was killed in Afghanistan on July 21st of 2006. He was awarded the Medal of Honor later in September, 2009.
Imagine for one moment if Sarah Palin or ANY Republican politician had made a similar gaffe. Think it would have been as downplayed by the media as it has been? Not a chance.
In addition, after Obama's speech at Fort Drum, the Chairman of the Joint Chief's of Staff - Mike Mullen - said that the President had chosen to ignore the advice of his top generals and instead decided to go for the quick withdrawal of American troops in Afghanistan. Wonder why. Bill Kristol from the Weekly Standard nails it with the following:
"So why September 2012? Because, one has to conclude, Election Day is November 6, 2012. The September deadline will allow candidate Obama to say that he has completely withdrawn the surge forces, and that we're on our way out of Afghanistan and coming home. The timetable President Obama has set isn't based on military considerations, diplomatic strategies, or financial calculations. It's based on the election calendar of candidate Obama.".
Exactly! After all - an ELECTION is looming! Win at all costs. Never mind that when Barry O's generals asked for more troops in Afghanistan, Obama hemmed and hawed over that request for months - while American soldiers were dying while waiting for help.
Obama is pathetic - and he really IS transparent! We know what he is doing and why. And nothing of what he does has to do with the best interest of America. It has to do with the best interest of Obama.
The sooner this "Commander-in-Chief" is out of office, the better off all of America will be.

And of course, it's no secret that he's planning the troop withdrawal for September. He must think that we're all a bunch of idiots if he doesn't think we can't see what he's doing. Well, at least the conservatives are able to see through the BS, but the liberals are still trying to look through their scratched up and foggy rose-colored glasses.
Like they say...If you voted for him in 2008 to prove you're not a racist, please vote for someone else in 2012 to prove you're not an idiot.
