Could Wisconsin Republicans win two Senate seats on August 16th?
Tomorrow conservatives Kim Simac and Jonathan Seitz will be attempting to unseat two Democratic Senators - Bob Wirch and Jim Holperin in their respective districts in a special recall election.
Simac is running against Holperin in Senate District 16 - which is the Rhinelander/Eagle River part of the state. She started up the Northwoods Tea Party in her area and is a strong conservative.
Seitz is representing the Republican party in Senate District 22 - which is in the southeastern part of Wisconsin and includes Kenosha, Pleasant Prairie, Burlington, and other areas.
After a devastating loss last week in the attempted recalls of six Republican senators, Democrats and liberals may not be very motivated to go out and vote to help Wirch and Holperin to keep their jobs. This could bode well for Simac and Seitz - if Republican voters have a large turnout. Maybe even some Democrats might want to send a message to Wirth or Holperin - by voting for the Republicans!
Remember, months ago, these two "representatives" fled the state - Holperin and Wirth refused to be responsible and remain in Madison, representing their constituents by voting. If these two would have been employed in the private sector and did the same thing, they would have been fired. Well, here is the opportunity for the voters in District 16 and 22 to do the same! Fire them - and hire conservative representatives. Conservative representatives who will work to lower taxes, reduce regulation, and create jobs. Who will continue to support Governor Walker and the Republicans as they bring back jobs and fiscal order to the state.
Simac's website touts her campaign slogan: "A leader who won't run away." Seitz is a businessman and knows how the private sector works. Together, these two have the potential and experience to trounce Holperin and Wirch.
Even if you do not reside in either District 16 or 22, please contact friends, relatives, or anyone else you may know in these areas to get out and vote for Simac or Seitz.
Republicans have nothing to lose. The Wisconsin Senate and Assembly will remain in Republican control despite whatever the outcome is on the 16th. However, wouldn't it be sweet justice if the conservative candidates would unseat the flea baggers?
Unlike the recall elections last week, where Republicans had to defend their jobs for DOING their jobs, now we have a recall election in which the two Democratic Senators fighting for their seats DIDN'T do their jobs - and ran away. A REAL reason to have a recall! Well, let's tell Wirch and Holperin that the voters in their Districts didn't approve of the way they shirked their responsibilities. Let's not reward bad behavior. They deserve to lose their seats.
And if they don't - Shame! Shame! Shame!

Glaringly absent from his website are the words "union", "Democrat", "liberal",
"Doyle", and even "Mary Bell" who cut a campaign ad for him:

Of course, she TOO was careful not to use the word "union", preferring to call
herself somebody who "represents a group of teachers".
Wirch may as well have campaigned wearing a rubber Richard Nixon mask...

but I would think a union PDLS follower would try not to also . If you wish not to be
around a place with guns please leave the country ! Banning guns is very dumb ! The
only people to have them then are the criminals ... think.

You have nothing to fear from "gun toting rednecks". They respect and obey the law. How many articles have you read where they are a treath to anyone?
I feel safer in that part of the state than most places in Milwaukee.
If you can call Simac a loser, you must be #1 at the on the list.

Do you know who Dale Schultz is? You know, he's the republican state senator
from Richland Center. He's the republican that voted against the budget repair
bill. He's also the guy 2 weeks ago that accused Walker/Fitzgerald of purposely
causing him to miss an important senate vote.
He now stands between a 16-16 tie in the senate. FAT CHANCE of the
MEpublican agenda being advanced any further now.
I thought WI was left for dead under Gov. Butthead, but now I can see a very
small glimmer of hope.
Sucks to be a MEpublican or ahemmeroid tonight! You deserved some good
news for a change Merton teachers.

rationale for fleeing the state.
I'm just pleased that the tea bag lady didn't succeed. I mean really, comparing
public schools to Nazi Germany?:
"I am done raising my kids but if I was a young parent today I would take my kids
out of the public school system today. At what point will we stop talking about the
comparisons to what is occurring today and what actually happened by the
regime of the Nazi's in the past?"
And then there's this dandy:
"This fall we are going to become more involved in our school district and work
to develop a program that would allow creationism to be offered at our high
school as an elective"
Yeah, great idea! And what about Hogwart Wizardry? What kid wouldn't love to
have that as an elective.
Thank you Lord, now I know for certain you're on our side.

Guess those Dem's have no Shame Shame Shame! Are conservatives such as myself shocked? No. After the childish me-me-me antics we all witnessed in Madison as well as the nasty, rude shoutfests at the State Fair opening when Governor Walker spoke, bad behavior is associated with the Democratic party - and many Dems seem to approve of such.
Needless to say, the Republicans are still in charge. We won. We have the majority. No matter how hard the unionista's, out-of-staters, White House operatives, and others tried to funnel as much money and support as they could, the good guys came out on top. Joanne "I won by 200 votes" Kloppy lost - which was even more important than the recall elections. Just imagine if the Wisconsin State Supreme Court had been turned over to the lefties! That's what nightmares are made of!
So instead, the Republicans can claim victory. We won. We are in charge. And remember: Elections have consequences! :)

In addition to letting me know when the first Merton/North Lake teacher gets merit
pay, you be sure to also let me know when Dale Schultz ever votes for a
Walker/Fitzgerald piece of legislation.
Yep, you MEpublicans sure are still "in charge"...........

And it is quite funny how the lefties are spinning their losses as a win. All the money in the world sent to the state to help Dems - and what is there to show for it? Wonder what the left will call Barry O's loss in 2012 - "win-challenged?"

Collective Bargaining Repeal: the best thing that ever happened to Wisconsin
schools
By Amy L. Geiger-Hemmer
July 27, 2011
"Another problem affecting our schools’ quality is that payment for individual
teachers is not based on merit but on a union negotiated pay schedule. A
mediocre teacher with a master’s degree and additional college credits gets more
money than a superior teacher who doesn’t have as many college credits. This is
clearly unfair, and destroys healthy incentives that would encourage teachers to
be more effective."

I had this argument with many on here a couple of months ago.
.Ref, Carla, Bama/ MC Prickard Cappy O. SLA Jake the Snake, Steve Peloski .
Wish you had been around while it was happening.
Now that you have mentioned it I will be waiting for their response to your post. It won’t happen but I thought I would try.
I believe they over used the recall process calling it a democracy and their constitutional right Hog Wash
They were grasping at straws hoping to take the senate back for one reason only they don’t know how to lose.
But hey they are learning quickly, $30 to $40 million wasted but what do they care It’s only money the Big O can print more.
