The Darth Vader Strikes Again Tour
By now most people in the United States know that President Obama's recent campaign tour (actually called a "presidential bus tour" - (not political, mind you! - so that taxpayers had to foot the bill) around the Midwest was a complete flop. The crowds of yesterday who, in the past, couldn't get enough of their Messiah, have faded. Same can be said about Obama's job approval rating in the polls, which now stands at 39% according to Gallup. Instead, Obama faced hostile crowds intent on asking hardball questions about the economy and jobs. Obama at times got a bit irate - and without his beloved teleprompter, appeared to be a wee bit perturbed. With no answers to the tough questions. One could say the bus tour was a bus-t.
Just looking at the "bus" the President traveled through the Midwest in should serve to strike fear in the hearts of fans of mass transit. It's one scary vehicle, carrying one scary president! One of my frequent readers (thanks Believer Bee) dubbed it "The Darth Vader Strikes Again Tour bus" which seems rather fitting. Aside from looking threatening, just imagine the large carbon footprints this monster bus left in it's wake! Where are all the environmental wacko's when you need 'em? (Al Gore must have been really upset - probably ran out and planted a few trees to try to help offset the damages to the environment...)

Now, the real interesting part of this whole trip is....guess where this behemoth bus was built?
From the ABC News/Politics website:
The $1.1 million jet-black rumbling bus that has been carrying Obama through the Midwest this week was designed in part by Prevost, a motor coach manufacturer based in Quebec. The New York Post was first to report this, and Provost officials confirmed this fact to ABC News.
Also from the same website:
"We've got folks in America driving Kias and Hyundais. I want to see folks in Korea driving Fords and Chryslers and Chevys," Obama said, drawing applause. "I want to sell goods all over the world that are stamped with three words: "Made in America."
Ah, the hypocrisy of the left. Yet another classic example of the "do as we say, not as we do" motto of the Democratic Party.
Priceless.

McGraber: You DO realize these 2 busses were ordered last year with an Obama campaign in mind? You DO realize that is has just been suggested that "the GOP presidential candidate might use a bus?" On 8/25/11, The New York Post stated:
"The Secret Service says the buses will be available to other protectees who travel by bus, which could include the 2012 GOP presidential nominee." Now, that doesn't sound like the GOP nominee was orginally included in the reason for the purchase.
You DO know that the busses are expected to pay for themselves in.....ten years...
You DO realize that aside from the "protection" the Secret Service wanted, tons of luxury items were also included in the costs?
You DO realize that half the costs and materials for the busses were for work and materials provided in Canada?
And most important:
You DO realize the president - Barry O. - made the statement ""I want to sell goods all over the world that are stamped with three words: "Made in America" while on his bus tour?
You DO realize this president is a hypocrite?

Yes, Im quite sure they were aware that there was going to be a presidential campaign comming up. As to whom was going to be the candidates, I doubt they cared.
Any quote from the NY Post is worth its weight in gold ($0.00).

Hemphill Brothers Coach Company is a motor coach sales and operations company that provides coach sales, leasing, maintenance, and custom conversion services. It is a family-owned company located in Nashville, Tennessee, USA.
The conversion operation provides a full range of customizing services to client specifications. For new custom conversions, the operation uses bare coaches from Prevost Car, a manufacturer of touring coach shells for specialty conversions which is located in Quebec, Canada. The operation is a Prevost-authorized maintenance facility.[1]
Two such buses were ordered by the United States Secret Service in 2010 at a combined cost of $2,191,960. The buses were purchased to address security inadequacies encountered on previous such events. The Secret Service intends to use the buses as a general asset, and they are not specifically dedicated to the President. As such, it is likely that the second bus will be used for similiar events by Republican politicians later in the 2012 presidential campaign.[3]

A similar bus with a Prevost shell (when the model was known as the LeMirage XL-II) was used by then-President George W. Bush in the 2004 campaign.[5]

You libbers are pathetic.
Had Sara Palin or for that matter any Republican road around in this ugly black Limo from Canada you would have been on that like fly’s to Cr%p.
What would have happen had Walker used such a bus Wow.
But because your all so stinking brain washed with the Anointed one, well I guess that’s just fine then.
Once again you prove your hypocrisy.
I have a question for ya Too: How Many Sitting Presidents Have Had to Raise and Spend over 1 Billion dollars to seek reelection.
Why can’t he do us all a huge favor take the money from his rich liberal backers and put it toward the deficit??
It would be his first time ever of lowering the deficit during his term At least for a couple of hours anyway.
You people have gone from being sheep to being robots..
As for Peloski you might as well hit the yellow brick road again and look for that brain you never found the first time around.
Amy on a side note I’m sure the swan song man is lonely posting all by himself where ever that is.
Wink Wink.

Is the 2004 bus still around Could the Anointed one have used it instead.
What’s your point Carla?
My question for you is this Carla You keep telling us you didn’t vote for the Man you keep telling us you are in the middle and are a Liberal -Tarian, yet you keep sticking up for the Anointed one and go out of your way to prove us wrong and show what a great guy he is.
What is it you mean to tell us?
That by you being a libertarian you see no use for republicans and hold true to the liberals.
I can’t understand how you can say one thing but counter dick yourself at every turn.
Yes That’s spelled right
