Walker initiated John Doe investigation
Wisconsin finally has a governor- Scott Walker - whom we can be proud of. For the first time in many years, the state budget has been balanced - honestly. No shell games. No robbing from one fund to pay for another. No accounting gimmicks, making it appear that the budget was "balanced" only to learn later that it wasn't and the state was deep in the red. (Thanks Governor Doyle!) In addition, our second amendment rights have actually been upheld - allowing citizens to carry guns if they chose to. We also have the long overdue safeguard against voter fraud in place - yes, Voter ID has become a reality which so many of us wished for. And the "car-speed" rail train, destined to soak taxpayers for years to come, was derailed - exactly as Walker promised. Taxes did not increase, and in many cases taxes went down. Thousands did not lose their jobs in an effort to "balance the budget." Private companies are finally finding an accepting, positive business climate in Wisconsin, rather than thinking of fleeing the state due to excess rules, regulations, taxes, and fees. Governor Walker clearly has brought back Wisconsin from the brink of disaster and the malaise of the Doyle years.
Walker has been a refreshing, energizing change for our state. A true leader in every way. Walker has done exactly what he promised. No double-speak, lies, or misleading the people. We got who we voted for. Walker has stood firm in the face of reprehensible behaviors on the part of unionista's and the anti-Walker crowds, many whom are crying that their taxpayer-funded entitlements are being curtailed. To get our house in fiscal order, the taxpayers of Wisconsin cannot keep paying for the premium health care, retirements, and pensions of government employees. To do so is simply not sustainable. Common sense and reality are finally prevailing.
The fact is, the majority of Wisconsin voters elected Walker. Yet our votes at this time sure don't seem to matter, as the anti-Walker crowd wants to "disenfranchise" the many who elected our governor. Guess that "disenfranchising" is OK when one doesn't like it that a Republican/conservative was elected and is enacting legislation that a minority don't approve of. What blatant hypocrisy - but the left is famous for it.
So now the latest ploy in the anti-Walker campaign comes to fruition.
The long, drawn-out, John Doe investigation has finally reached somewhat of a conclusion. The media, who kept tantalizing the public with allusions that Walker and Walker co-horts were going down with what seemed to be a never-ending "John Doe" investigation, finally reported the story. Turns out that "Walker appointees" - Timothy Russell and Kevin Kavanaugh - were charged with embezzling more than $80,000.00. The money was supposed to go to military veterans and their families. Only one key point in this story has been glossed over or ignored by the media: the fact (yes, FACT) that County Executive Scott Walker AND his chief of staff - Tom Nardelli - were the two men who brought this criminal activity to the attention of the Milwaukee District Attorney - John Chisholm - in the first place.
This bears repeating: County Executive Scott Walker and his Chief of Staff Tom Nardelli helped set the whole "John Doe" investigation in motion!
Yet, the media sure seems reluctant to mention this very important fact. Why? Aren't journalists supposed to report the who, what, why, where, when, and how for a story? Why are they dragging their feet - or ignoring - the fact that Walker and Nardelli helped launch the John Doe investigation to begin with? Does the media think this is somehow not newsworthy? Imagine for one moment if there was a role reversal. Let's say that Jim Doyle had been the Milwaukee County Executive who started an investigation into bookkeeping concerns regarding Operation Freedom. Doyle goes on to become governor. After many months go by, the Milwaukee District Attorney discovers the embezzlement of funds meant to go to military families. Now, does anyone honestly think the news media would not have printed large headines regarding how Doyle played a key role in initiating the investigation in the first place? They would have tripped all over themselves to gush about what a hero Doyle was for bringing these two corrupt individuals to justice. The whole case would have been presented as a big politic boost for Doyle. Can the same be said for the way the media is treating Scott Walker?
What is also puzzling is the fact that when employees are caught embezzling funds (like Russell and Kavanaugh appear to have been doing), the employer is usually blameless and left out of the picture. In many cases, the employer (in this case, Walker) is usually portrayed sympathetically as a victim (and rightly so) - having been taken advantage of by the criminal activities of their employees who they hired and trusted. So why the over-use of the "Walker" name when reporting on this story to begin with? It's as though the media, by dropping Walker's name in with Russell and Kavanaugh at every opportunity, hopes people think "guilt by association," when this could not be further from the truth.
Bias in the media? An anti-Walker slant? Most definitely. Pay attention. Realize what the media is trying to do. Scott Walker - as County Executive - questioned where funds were going after his chief of staff, Tom Nardelli, brought concerns about bookkeeping issues regarding Operation Freedom, to Walker's attention. Walker and Nardelli then asked the District Attorney to look into the situation. Shouldn't Walker be given some credit for doing so? Guess not, as the media has an anti-Walker template that they have to abide by. Sigh.
At least WE can get the word out. Governor Walker is one of the best governors this state has ever had. Walker is a man of real character, honesty, beliefs, and faith. Walker is truly looking out for the people of Wisconsin. This recent "John Doe" investigation is yet another example of Walker doing the right thing. We must not allow him to be recalled by the misguided few who are only looking out for themselves, at the expense of all the taxpayers.
Walker deserves accolades for helping to initiate the "John Doe" investigation that eventually ended with the arrests of Tim Russell and Kevin Kavanaugh. He must not be thrown under the bus with these two men as though he conspired with them to rob military veterans of funding. That is not true, it never was, and the media should cease and desist in their obvious desire to smear Walker.
Spin can only go so far. In this case, spin is all the media has.

him dumb so they attack blindly . He then lowers the hammer on the other side
and the Dumocrats just look blank as he shows he is a great Boy Scout !! So they
harped on him for an entire 2 seasons on how corrupt he is and when it started
he just said that he will cooperate with athorities ,and that was it . Then in the
end he lets them know that he started the whoe thing to be a Great Boy Scout !! I
love Walker and what he has done for Wisconsin . Now do you think the media
will ever be unbiased and share the whole story with the wing nut Dumocrats ?
Time will tell .

funds. This non government entity was doing an excellent job at putting the
money to use as it was intended.
So much for less government interference in the privacy sector.
I just wonder what the reason for taking this money from the VFW was.
My personal bet is they thought they could make a few quick bucks investing it
but played a bad bet and lost it and Walker turned them in to cover his own
behind.
(Hey the whole blog post is mostly opinion and conjecture, so theirs mine )

How you can read the words try to make a few quite bucks from investing it into "
criminally steal " is a stretch.
Makes me wonder what you consider to be non criminal theft though.

believe that for I am closer to being a Republican than a Dumocrat . The man is
indited for pilfering money and you anbd your friends are trying to blame it on
Walker . That is why I placed the word stealing there appropriatly ! I understand in
your circles that it is OK as long as you get aeway with it but everyone I deal with
would not do it and if they did I would be the first one to turn them in ! Just Like
Scott Walker !!

I don't deal with that type either but I'm not a politician. But I believe politicians
from both parties " temporarily reappropriate " funds for personal gains
To a politician it's only unethical if you can't beat the rap. These two are most
likely Walkers' Scooter Libby.
It would be nice if I am way off base and Walker is acting responsibly. The guy has
been in politics for too long for me to give him the benefit of the doubt though.

The newspaper on Friday ran with headlines: "Walker appointees charged in John Doe investigation" (1/6/12). It isn't until paragraph four that they quote Walker as saying "his office had been responsible for raising initial concerns about bookkeeping at Operation Freedom." In Saturday's (1/7/12) paper, on the editorial page, the Urinal writes that, while Walker did the right thing in starting the John Doe, he should be given blame, too, for being buddies with the two men indicted. That little backhanded slap sure doesn't seem to give much credit to Walker.
And George, the news on television when this story broke did NOT mention the fact that Walker played a major role in starting the John Doe. People were talking about this fact on the radio the next day. Fox 6 News is pretty liberal - especially leftie anti-Walker reporter Mike Lowe - and they did not mention it. I know, I was watching.
BruceSpringsteen: I've asked you before, where in the world do you get the idea that 65% of Wisconsinites cannot stand Scott Walker? I'd love for you to cite a source. I've requested this before, but you haven't been able to provide any more info. Why?
As for Walker traveling to Washington D.C./Florida: Were you upset when Diamond Jim Doyle made a few trips to Spain to buy useless choo-choos' with the taxpayer dime? Or when he and his entourage made a trip to Cancun, Mexico (when Doyle was on his way out of office by the way) for a "climate change" conference?
Carl Hicks - Jan 08, 2012 10:59 AM
travel that it is ok for the current bum to do the same thing.
Carl Hicks - Jan 08, 2012 11:16 AM
Had it been so he would have let the VFW do what it had been doing very well on
it's own.
ahemmer - Jan 08, 2012 11:42 AM
Walker went to Washington D.C. this past April (2011) to testify at on budget reforms before the House of Representatives Committee on Oversight and Reform.
He was in Orlando Florida to attend a Republican Governor's Convention this past November (2011).
Over the Christmas holidays, he was in Washington D.C. to attend a Christmas party. This was part of his personal calendar, not his official calendar. And elected officials have two calendars: an official calendar and a personal calendar. They are not required to make their "personal" calendar public knowledge.
He was also recently in Washington D.C. to discuss strategy regarding recall efforts with the GOP and activitists - which is expected and he has every right to do (read: http://governorsjournal.com/2012/01/walker-to-d-c/). This occurred during the first week of January 2012.
A small blurb from the article states:
"The primary purpose behind Walker’s trip to Washington, D.C. is fundraising. The invitation documents point out that under state law, any Wisconsin public official targeted for a recall can “raise unlimited personal or PAC contributions while petitions are being circulated and throughout any legal challenges initiated by the elected official as to the validity of the signatures.”
I'd say that comparing the fun-n-sun travels of Diamond Jim Doyle to the work travels of Scott Walker is not the same.
Carl Hicks - Jan 08, 2012 1:03 PM
want it but it is still official business.
Personally I feel political fund raising trips should not be paid for by taxpayers!
This privilege is abused by too many politicians. Why should tax dollars be spent
to help politicians keep their jobs!
I also feel a sitting politician should relinquish their seat if campaigning for
a.higher office (must be nice to not have to show up to work as you try for a
promotion.
WFB resident - Jan 08, 2012 1:16 PM
politicians not people to you ?
ahemmer - Jan 08, 2012 1:22 PM
As for the news on television, if you look at all the clips of news from Fox 6, you will see that the "breaking story" - the first reports- did not mention the fact that the Walker camp started the John Doe. The story broke early in the day. It was not until the evening news - when Brad Hicks (who appears to try to not let Walker smack-downs by his co-workers go unchallenged, good for him) mentioned the fact that Walker played a role in the John Doe.
Carl Hicks: Why did Doyle have to travel to Spain to buy a train that Wisconsinites did not want? Does the United States not have any manufacturers of high-speed trains anywhere?
And Carl, Walker isn't exactly "campaigning" - he is fighting a recall effort by a bunch of spoiled children who cannot accept election results. Thank them that Walker has to focus on keeping his job, while the taxpayers/people who voted for Walker are being soaked by the pouters for millions of dollars.
Carl Hicks - Jan 08, 2012 1:33 PM
taxpayers.
Funny how you whine about government employees having it so good and then
turn around and defend elected officials who get the benefits they do.
Nigeria recently cut elected officials by 25% as elected officials here give
themselves raises and work to cut benefits for public employees. I know we'll
never see greedy self centered politicians in this country do the same.

being very adult
Carl Hicks - Jan 08, 2012 3:04 PM
I see no report of ANY type of misconduct by the VFW. So why the government
interference into a private organization?
This seems contrary to what the right gives lip service too.!

ahemmer - Jan 08, 2012 6:41 PM
"The financing setup for the event drew ethics scrutiny in 2006, when two county Ethics Board members questioned the practice of county officials asking private companies for money for public programs, saying it raised conflict-of-interest questions. Walker said then that he was trying to save taxpayer dollars and that he’d resolve ethics concerns by asking a veterans organization to solicit funds for the event.
Walker got legal advice that the fundraising should be handled by a separate charitable entity."
To continue, MGarber, Walker's help in starting the John Doe would have been headline news - had he been a Democrat. You can bet on it. Instead, the press buried it - using it as a quote from Walker himself rather than real reporting - mentioning that Walker and Nardelli initiated the investigation to begin with. If Doyle would have been the County Exec/later gov - he would have been treated as a hero. No if's, ands, or buts.
And georgedubybush: The American pubic did a horrible job of "vetting" Barack Obama for president.

And yellow journalism is alive and well - witness how the Urinal/Sentinel and Madison papers are somehow trying to make Tim Russell one of "Walker's inner circle." See: http://www.jsonline.com/news/statepolitics/exwalker-aide-was-in-inner-circle-

Read the entire article and you can almost conclude that....Tim Russell was involved in political campaigns....
The comments are great - especially the poiint about how Milwaukee Magazine (another leftie rag) ran a story long ago saying Walker has no inner circle...
Slimey, desperate journalism is alive and well!

You can call me whatever you would like. Now, where did I ever claim that scooter

he/she does when nobody is looking. Scooter's, unfortunately for him, was

rushed to suck up to him.
ahemmer - I think blanketing facts with "liberal media bias" is weak. You may
not like the findings of that analysis, but do you have substance that corroborates
your allegation towards politifact? Anything in that specific article or politifact in
general, because from what I've seen they go after both sides in the most
unbiased fashion in media. Of course I agree slimy desperate journalism is alive
and well, but I don't see politifact being a part of that.
ahemmer - Jan 09, 2012 3:05 PM
For an interesting read on how the left has gone bonkers over the Koch Brothers - without valid reasons - give the following link a thorough read:
http://thenewsjunkie.com/2011/03/why-is-everyone-suddenly-obsessed-with-the-koch-brothers/
One very interesting excerpt:
"When you combine organization-driven and individual political donations over the last several years, the Koch brothers and George Soros have both done a significant amount of political spending. Yet I don’t see anyone at these protests screaming about the ‘corrupt money’ coming out of the pockets of Soros. So, it’s not just about the money; it’s clearly about politics."
What is also very interesting is the chart that shows how many major corporations contribute large amounts to Democrats. Whodathunkit? Those evil corporations - who just abuse and take advantage of the poor, downtrodden working fools! Those evil corporations who want to destroy the environment, kill trees, mine the land, allow us to get our own oil, etc....AND - worst of all - make a profit doing so!!!

ahemmer - Jan 10, 2012 6:49 AM
Sure BS, the GOP = greed. My goodness, have you nothing else in your arsenal? Now chant "Koch Brothers" over and over and the same tired inane message is complete!
And I really have to wonder why the liberals who comment on this site are not giving Walker credit for hiring openly-gay employees? Tim Russell is openly-gay. After all, aren't all Republicans/conservatives supposedly mean-spririted, cold-hearted, greedy, racist, "homophobes?" C'mon - admit it! Walker did a good deed here by initiating the John Doe investigation AND he is open-minded when it comes to hiring people whether it was in Milwaukee County while he was the County Executive or now the Governor.
ahemmer - Jan 10, 2012 7:40 AM
C'mon - you can send in a quick comment before school starts! Or will those crickets just keep chirping? If you continue to refuse to respond, we'll just have to agree that your claim is bogus.
MGarber - Jan 10, 2012 7:42 AM
Hiring a open homosexual is being "open-minded" only for someone who thinks it's otherwise a problem. Like you.
ahemmer - Jan 10, 2012 8:28 AM
I am only pointing out that conservatives/Republicans - especially Governor Walker - are always called racists, bigots, cold-hearted, mean-spirited, Nazis, Hitler, and - of course - homophobes - by the left. And this just is not the case. Governor Scott Walker is an excellent example - both while serving as County Executive in Milwaukee and as Governor.
Rather than bashing Walker for his supposed "ties" to Tim Russell, as though Walker himself was picking the pockets of military veterans and their families and/or breaking into their homes in the dead of night, why not praise him for doing the right thing? Scott Walker and Tom Nardelli began the whole John Doe investigation in the first place! That doesn't seem to make any impression on lefties, or the Urinal/Sentinel, who just desperately need to smear Walker, no matter what the facts may be. (Those darn facts - they sure get in the way of the liberal m.o.!) Now we hear how Russell was supposedly a part of "Walkers inner circle" - no matter that Milwaukee Magazine ran an earlier story on how Scott Walker has no "inner circle." C'mon. The desperation is pathetic. I suggest the Urinal/Sentinel and anti-Walker folks give Walker a nod on this one and admit he did the right thing.
This whole situation is akin to a Bush joke of a few years ago: "President Bush could find a cure for cancer and the Democrats would complain he was putting lab rats out of work."
MGarber - Jan 10, 2012 8:29 AM
Those crickets have been chirping long enough.
MGarber - Jan 10, 2012 8:38 AM
Except they arent. "Homophobes tend to be conservatives" is not the same as "Conservatives tend to be Homophobes ". You make that mistake all the time, but alot of liberals make the same false equivalency error.

"Walker set up the annual Operation Freedom as a military appreciation day at the zoo for veterans, who got free admission and food. It was run through the county executive's office. Russell was the coordinator of the event and worked on it with Darlene Wink, another former Walker aide at the county who has been under investigation in the John Doe probe.
But the financing setup for the event drew ethics scrutiny in 2006, when two county Ethics Board members questioned the practice of county officials asking private companies for money for public programs, saying it raised conflict-of-interest questions.
Walker said then that he was trying to save taxpayer dollars and that he'd resolve ethics concerns by asking a veterans organization to solicit funds for the event. Walker got legal advice that the fundraising should be handled by a separate charitable entity.
As a result, starting in 2006, Milwaukee Purple Heart Chapter 96 began overseeing the checkbook for Operation Freedom."

As I can piece it together, because of concerns about how the money was being handled by the Purple Heart Chapter (treasurer was Kevin Kavanaugh, who was somewhat close to Walker and has been arrested), officials turned over control of the funds in 2009 to the Alonzo Cudworth American Legion Post No. 23.
But the group soon lost that responsibility when it was handed over to Russell and the organization he ran, Heritage Guard Preservation Society, in October 2009 - a decision personally signed off on by Walker as county executive.
Again, What was the problem with the VFW post running things??
It smells like a combination of Special-Favors and Bad-Judge-of-Character.
Its too bad. Walker may end up looking like another petty politician. I hope not.
ahemmer - Jan 10, 2012 11:35 AM
"I have identified a nonprofit corporation to which I am transferring Operation Freedom,” Walker told the Cudworth Legion Post in a letter mentioned in the criminal complaint. “This new structure will allow the community to take ownership of it.”
Walker reiterated that intention to reporters Thursday, saying he wanted to consolidate oversight under Heritage because it could focus solely on Operation Freedom."

MGarber - Jan 10, 2012 11:40 AM
--- On Oct. 20, 2009, Walker transferred about $19,000 in Operation Freedom funds to Heritage Guard, as well as control of its finances. The Walker and Russell memo transferred the "ownership, responsibility and operation" of Operation Freedom to Heritage Guard, which the memo said "had expressed a desire to administer, manage and continue this worthwhile event."
Expressed a desire???? Is Scott really such a soft touch??? *I* have desires, too, man!!
Whats that smell?? A whif of Special-Favors and a whaft of Really-Bad-Judge-of-Character??
In my mind (pending additional info) Scott Walker is a pantload!
MGarber - Jan 10, 2012 11:55 AM

because the VOW had a "hard for donors to understand" nonprofit status so Walker
wanted to transfer it to charity format that would help fundraising by making
corporate donations tax deductible.

Why not say at that time that he couldn't comment or just come out and say that
his administration initiated the investigation?
I believe Nardelli acted on his own.

WFB resident - Jan 10, 2012 4:16 PM
what can possibly make your side correct ? Instead of focussing on the fact that
Dumocrats are wrong !
ahemmer - Jan 10, 2012 4:24 PM
Let's rewrite the whole episode - Walker wanted lots of money (even though he declined a great portion of his salary while county executive...). So he conspires with his "inner circle" of nefarious no-good best buddies, let by Tim Russell. Walker expresses a desire to steal money from veterans and their families. Reason being??? Unclear - is Walker strapped for cash? (The Journal needs to do some digging!!!)
However, in the meantime, Walker suffers from the guilts. He suggests that perhaps his chief of staff, Tom Nardelli, needs to go to the Milwaukee District Attorney and check into what Walker/Russell/Doyle (oops - how did that stand-up, stellar do-gooder's name get in there! A governor who really had the taxpayers best interests at heart!!! My mistake, sorry!) and Kavanaugh are up to.
He sits back and waits, sweating it out. And alas - the D.A. uncovers, with the aid of what Walker and Nardelli informed him about - the fact that funds were indeed being embezzled!!!
However, there are no ties to Walker except for the fact that he started the investigation in the first place!!!! Yet, because he refused to mention this when the investigation began - he's GOT to be guilty simply by the fact that he DIDN'T say "no comment" when asked about it. Instead Walker said all he knew was what he heard on the news! My GOSH! Caught red-handed!!! NOW how did that happen? Is there some kind of pro-Walker conspiracy going on in the Milwaukee D.A.'s office that we are unaware of??? Stay tuned.... the liberal spin on this one is guaranteed to make our heads explode!!!
Carl Hicks - Jan 10, 2012 4:58 PM

ahemmer - Jan 10, 2012 5:52 PM
Well, because:
1) He balanced the state budget.
2) He went after the unions and ended the noose around the necks of the taxpayers of our state that they had managed to pull tighter each year. Lavish benefits, perks, healthcare plans, etc. that were way out of control and totally unsustainable - and the taxpayers were on the hook for it all - destined to just keep paying more and more - ala higher taxes. No more!!! Thank goodness.
3) He addressed the Democrats favorite "vote early vote often" m.o. and made it much more difficult for voter fraud to occur with the long-awaited (by honest, law-abiding voters) Voter I.D. bill.
4) Honest, law-abiding citizens also get to protect themselves!!!! Hooray! Finally the criminals and thugs don't have the advantage! Thank you Walker and Republicans for concealed carry!
5) Walker killed the money-sucking "car speed rail" that was a pet project of lefties.
6) And he didn't raise taxes!!!! (The favorite solution of Democrats to any and all problems.)
So now Walker is to be demonized, as are some Republicans who stood by his side while voting - now facing recalls. Because the left cannot handle losing elecdtions and the subsequent legislation that goes along with it. What a bunch of spoiled children. Remember the classic "elections have consequences" told to us all who didn't vote for Obama or Dems by the left? The hypocrisy IS priceless and never-ending.

At the same time it looks as though he acted like he used extremely bad judgement as part of the political patronage which is a nasty little truth that comes with winning any political office.
Im sorry you cant seem to handle that and it seems to induce a state of cognitive dissonance for you (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cognitive_dissonance). Please try. Its called growing up. You'll be a better person for it.

I find it hilarious how hypocritical the right is to condemn the left for doing as the

reformed trucker - Jan 10, 2012 7:21 PM
It was.
ahemmer - Jan 10, 2012 7:35 PM
And while voter fraud doesn't guarantee that one candidate (Dem) will automatically win over another (Republican), in 2004 John Kerry "supposedly" won Wisconsin by a mere 11,384 votes out of almost 3,000,000 votes cast in the state! Many of us feel this election was indeed stolen.
The Milwaukee Police report from 2008 mentioned the following: "Among the problems cited were ineligible voters casting ballots, felons not only voting but working at the polls, transient college students casting improper votes, and homeless voters possibly voting more than once. The report said the problem was compounded by incompetence resulting from abysmal record-keeping and inadequately trained poll workers."
Read additonal information at: http://www.wpri.org/WIInterest/Vol18No1/Fund18.1.html
One investigator, after examining Milwaukee's election system, was quoted as saying: "I know I voted in the election, but I can't be certain it counted."
So George, I don't think the Milwaukee Police are just a bunch of "radio talking heads."

Carl Hicks - Jan 10, 2012 9:09 PM
Democratic party?
Any proof the homeless and felons voted for Democrats?
Aren't college students supposed to be able to vote where they go to school
instead of having to go home to vote?
I have no doubt lousy record keeping is a big problem, now these ill prepared
poll workers have to learn how to spot fake id's.
I would say voter id just made fraud easier!
WFB resident - Jan 10, 2012 9:19 PM

georgedubyabush - Jan 10, 2012 11:45 AM
There's speculation by County Supervisor John Weishan and others that
Operation Freedom was created not so much to honor veterans but to serve as a
political front organization for Walker. John Weishan is a Marine veteran. In an
interview yesterday, he stated that he was denied the opportunity to speak at
Operation Freedom events, but Walker allies Charlie Sykes and Jeff Wagner -
neither of which served in the military - were more than welcome to speak.
Walker never served in the military either. But he has no problem making himself
the center of attention at Operation Freedom events. If you click on the photo
gallery at the Operation Freedom website you'll see what I mean. I counted 27
photos. Walker is featured in 19, some of which quite prominently.
If you ask me, Weishan and the others make a pretty convincing case.
Operation Walker?

All I can say is if Pickard is #1 in your book, good for you! And since you have the "power to pull blogs" perhaps you can tell me how many hits Pickards most recent blog has received? If I recall correctly, I once asked you that same question about my own blog - I even provided a range of numbers to give you a better chance - and guess what? No answer!!! Teachers SHOULD be responsible for the behavior of the children in their classrooms. They need to provide an environment in which every child is giving a fair and safe opportunity to learn. The administration needs to support them in such efforts. How can children learn in a totally disruptive environment? If certain children cannot behave, there are consequences that can be imposed - such as suspensions or expulsions.
One big fact you are glossing over re: Walker. Walker initiated the investigation into Tim Russell. Didn't matter that maybe once upon a time Walker and Russell may have run in the same political circles. Didn't matter even if Russell had been a friend of Walkers. Walker did the right thing. And Walker DIDN'T hire Brian Piereck, Tim Russells longtime partner, who is accused of child enticment. So your "facts" are incorrect.
And by the way, learner1, aren't lefties always saying that people are "innocent until proven guilty?" Then why are you calling Russell and Kavanaugh criminals right off the bat? THe libs tend to always support the criminal element over victims in most cases, why such a difference now?
