Walker-Gate: Wisconsin's Most Recent and Developing Scandal
I haven’t written anything for a while because I’ve been quite busy personally and I’ve been waiting for this whole John Doe thing to be blown completely wide open. While I’m still as busy as ever, the whole John Doe thing is now starting to become a monster that I believe will eventually someday be known as Walker-gate.
Anyone who is still defending Walker at this point is downright unintelligent. I’ve tried to think of ways to say that nicer, but I just can’t. The man is clearly involved in the illegal things that have been going on since the time he was elected to County Executive, and almost no one can honestly believe otherwise. So far, 4 of his aides/people he put into positions of power have been indicted on various counts of corruption, fraud, and money laundering. Two of them sicken me the most, as I have a friend who is in the Air Force and I don’t tolerate anything that has to do with ripping veterans off. Great people Walker chooses to trust running county/state programs, huh?
The simple fact that Walker’s former assistant chief of staff is involved with this whole scandal makes the story to seem pretty much over- Walker knew about the vast majority of the things that were going on. It would be ludicrous to think that he wouldn’t have known about all these things, as shown by how close to him some of these indicted people were/are.
All that the prosecutors need now is evidence to charge good ol’ Scotty with some charges of corruption, voter fraud, bribery, or other various illegal crimes and throw him out of office. Recall? Think more like resignation.
What kind of evidence could they use to do this? Supposedly, according to one of his former aides, there was a massive network set up on the side that Walker’s aides ran to talk about all the illegal things they were doing, i.e. campaigning on county time, taking kickbacks, soliciting support, etc. A major part of this network was numerous amounts of e-mails sent back and forth between people within it. Supposedly, some of these e-mails claim that Walker knew what was going on and was giving instructions accordingly. However, the funny thing is that these e-mails have magically disappeared. According to former aides, orders were given to disable the network and delete and erase all traces of it once Walker started his campaign for governor, or right after he was elected governor. If one of these aides testifies about these e-mails or can somehow produce them, that’s game over.
Scott Walker should stop with his gimmicks as well. He’s trying to play Mr. Innocent and emphasize the fact that he is cooperating with the law. Really sir? Why’d you just hire two defense lawyers then? An innocent man who shouldn’t have to prove anything (as he’s claimed he is) has no use for defense lawyers. Something is fishy here….
Going along with that, a phenomenal article was published in the Journal Sentinel yesterday explaining some quotes Scott Walker made back in 2006. During that year, a former aide of Governor Jim Doyle was charged with corruption and found guilty. When it was made public, Walker made a HUGE stink about it, saying Doyle should be held accountable because it was his aide that was charged. Walker went on to say that anyone even remotely close to the Governor is his responsibility, and he used this line to attack Doyle before losing the eventual GOP nomination. Hmmm, wait a second. Scott Walker said that if a politician’s aides are found guilty of breaking the law, they should be held accountable? WHAT?!
Yea, good job being a hypocrite Scotty. 6 years ago, Walker stated that politicians should be responsible for their aides’ behavior and resign if they break the law. Walker, however, has done the exact opposite of that. Instead of accepting responsibility and resigning, Walker is denying and staying right where he is. Seems like a bit of a flip-flopping, law-breaking, long-nosed Nixonian if there ever was one!
Either way, Walker will, eventually, be charged in this John Doe thing if they can find the electronic evidence. When it happens, the whole house of cards that Walker has built over the last year will come tumbling down. I just hope there’s a good politician, a uniter, who will be able to swoop in and heal the divides that Walker has created.
Kathleen Falk isn’t it. Tammy Baldwin isn’t it. Tommy Thompson or Russ Feingold, I’m looking at you at people just like you. They aren't perfect, but man, they brought people together if people would just listen to them.
P.S. Glad to see Tom Brady suck the big one last night. I don't care for Eli too much but I still hate Brady and his Cheating Coach more than anything.

More Hypocrisy from Walker, made these statements while his loyalsist were commiting the same crimes
""Unfortunately, we have a Governor and administration that condones unethical and illegal behavior," Walker said in a statement on Jan. 24, 2006. "The people of Wisconsin deserve better.""
"Specifically, the criminal charges accuse Kelly Rindfleisch, Walker's former deputy chief of staff, of raising money for Brett Davis, a candidate for lieutenant governor, out of a county office just down the hall from Walker's. Davis is now Walker's Medicaid director, and Davis' campaign manager, Cullen Werwie, now Walker's spokesman, was in regular contact with Rindfleisch. Werwie has received immunity in the current investigation."

BTW. It was Scott Walker who turned these guys in thus why the Grand Jury hasn't done anything to Walker.

Part I: Our states Chamber of Commerce found only 10% of WI's major biz owners said our state was headed in the right direction. Now 94% say it is! And Walkers approval rating still hovers at or above 50% while negative is in the mid to low 40's. Maybe WI can see through such bias and pathetic journalism from the Milw JS. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052970204573704577186830049178636.html?mod=WSJ_Opinion_LEADTop
Talk about poor and bias journalism. Does anyone know which day of the week is the least read Milw Journal/Sentinel? Saturday. That was told to me by the Milw JS top brass when I did my study on bias with their paper. Well, yesterday had a fairly clear and balanced front page headline: Walker may be cleared of all this. Thus maybe why he initiated the JD and why it's been over a year and the JD investigation has yet to find any wrong doing with Gov Walker. But heck, why let the truth get in the way with a despicable and corrupt liberal democrat started recall.
jhayett - Feb 06, 2012 2:13 PM
How about Doyle’s shaking down donors for his campaign from those who received awards from Doyle’s multistate law suit settlements with vitamin manufactures.
Remember Sen. Chuck Chavala (D) and his 20 felonies under Doyle? Doyle and Chavala both worked for the Democratic Coordinated Campaign. A liberal democrat party group who funds campaigns. Doyle’s too!
How about Joanna Richards and her illegal involvement with Chavala and then Doyle hired her for campaign work. Did you forget that too?
The JD investigation against Walker aids had been going on for a year. Thinks to GOV WALKER!
Did you complain and accuse Doyle or try to recall him when these facts surfaced? Of course you didn’t. In fact, I don’t recall much of this ever making the ultra liberal Milw JS headline news.
Jacob Pickard - Feb 06, 2012 2:18 PM
The DA charged Tim Russel, Diane Wink and Reidnflesh. Walker did not turn in any of his top aids, they were caught for breaking the law seperate from the money laundering.
Jacob Pickard - Feb 06, 2012 2:36 PM
Goergia Thompson was aquited, "A three-judge panel later reversed the decision, saying Thompson had been wrongly convicted. One of the judges said that "the evidence is beyond thin."
Steven Biskupic as well as other Loyal republican DA were being pushed by the Karl Rove DOJ to find dirt in democrats to make them look bad for election purposes.

frightening is that some of the past Kool Aid drinkers are going to bob their heads

People like you need to not only have balance with your news, but your life and your passing judgement as well. In every administration will be bad apples (you do remember all the bad apples in Obama's orchard, don't you?). That doesn't necessary put the Gov or the pres as a partner in crime. The crime is the bias liberal msm trying to portray Walker as a criminal yet giving Obama a full pass. Andy's blog is the perfect example of bias journalism

"""Brothers Carlos and Alberto Rojas Cardona, who live and work in Chicago, began raising money for the Obama campaign and the Democratic National Committee last fall, the New York Times reported, adding that neither had a history of prior political donations."""

Anyone who is still defending Obama at this point is downright unintelligent. I’ve tried to think of ways to say that nicer, but I just can’t. Dr Tim Walkers rally speech. Go read the entire speech!!
"Did anyone really doubt you could find 540,000 graduates of Wisconsin public schools who would demand a sticker and a hug and a do-over when they lose? That’s how they roll nowadays.
So now $20 million will have to be cut from state and local budgets for education, the environment, the elderly, cancer research, day care, special needs children, bike paths, and bridge repairs to pay for their little tantrum. Own that, Madison .
It also means that more than 3.3 million eligible voters in Wisconsin said no. We listened to the protests for a year, we thought about our options for 60 days, and we decided not to waste $20 million and to just stick with the guy who was elected fair and square. .
"I don't believe in Scott Walker. Scott Walker believes in me.
In the past three years, 132,000 teachers have been laid off in the other 49 states.
Why? Because their Governor is NOT Scott Walker. There is only one. And as everyone knows, one Walker beats 14 runners.
The tens of thousands of teachers and government workers in Wisconsin who did NOT get laid off have Scott Walker to thank for it.
And those few hundred who DID get laid off – in Madison and Milwaukee - can thank their unions.
You guys with the signs and cowbells over there are drumming for the wrong team.
If we Libertarians got a mulligan every time we lost an election, we would need a full time department of voter nullification. Oh, wait – we already have that, it’s called the Government Accountability Board.
And in a few days they will rule that all those millions of votes we cast in November 2010 didn’t count. They will hope for better luck this time. They are wrong.

The investigation is just that to find if any proof of wrong doing exists.
Another is secrecy these investigations all have secrecy orders handed down with them. John does are in place to compel people to talk knowing full well that what they say is done in strict confidence from public option.
Someone has been leaking information to the media once again with absolutely no proof of guilt and you have fallen right into their hands.
Peoples life’s are at stake along with reputations names have been named but charges haven’t been filed toward them but you decided to find them guilty by association. How do these people get their reputations back if indeed they are never charged with anything?
My question would be who’s doing the leaking and why isn’t it being stopped, Where’s the FBI now?
Why the anonymity and most importantly why now during a recall is this so called scandal coming to light?
As for myself I would like to start hearing more cold hard facts and less he said she said anonynamust rhetoric sooner than later. I really don’t want to see this dragged into the recall intentionally just to leave doubt about an innocent person. Either charge him or clear him and soon. Don’t you people ever get tired of playing dirty?

I wasn’t trying to imply that low income people are unethical out of necessity. However, (what I was actually implying was) the poor (or low income) people usually cannot afford the “best” lawyers like the more “well to do” or upper income brackets. Because of not being able to afford a “better” lawyer they are generally (but not always, depending on other mitigating factors)
“"Or did you ask them about their education?"…O.K., now I REALLY hope you're not implying anyone without a college education is stupid. More times than not, that diploma is only fit for use as T.P.”
And no I am not implying that anyone without a college education is stupid either. However, in most companies opportunities are withheld from those without a Bachelor degree. This creates a ceiling which limits the average person from advancement. (However this isn’t true in all cases a person who is exceptional at a task or job can rise above this ceiling, Steve Jobs is a prime example.) (Somehow I get the feeling I am digging a deeper hole for myself.)
“"A reading suggestion; "The Rich get Richer and the Poor Get Prison".

Sorry, but I was actually attempting to further irked’s (or as I affectionately refer to him as Wanting For Brains) education, not yours.
“The Rich Get Richer and the Poor Get Prison” is a critique of the criminal “justice” system. Basically the author states that the primary purpose of the criminal “justice” system was created to insure that anyone who has been incarcerated becomes a repeat offender. The secondary purpose is to take the attention away from the “white collar” criminal. (I have a number of books which I started but never finished, for various reasons, this is one of them, so far I Just read the intro.)
“FYI, I'm really enjoying "The Monster from Jekyll Island". Great recommendation.”
I have wanted to ask you how you were doing on “The Monster from Jekyll Island”.
BTW, I just started Carroll Quigley’s tome “Tragedy and Hope” (only 1,248 pages to go) also a good read, from what I have read so far.
Here is a link to the book on my favorite used/new book site.

Sometimes I think I spend too much money on books, I get carried away with ordering them from Alibris, and fortunately I don’t have a wife. When they only cost a buck or so I will order a dozen or more. The last time I ordered books I bought 30 of them (it’s the shipping that adds the most to the bill).

I was being facetious, and the "mistake" was in Jim's eyes. :)
"Creature is a good read, he does go a little conspiracy theorist, but the historical
parts are fascinating."
It has been good so far; what's going on in Greece right now? Chapter 2. Why
we keep dumping money into Amtrack after the Penn Central bailout that the
bankers profited on from insider trading, while Conrail is now running at a profit?
Chapter 3. It does read like a good mystery, though. And I love history.
"Secrets of the Temple"
xtdr recommended that also, plus I caught it in the footnotes of Creature.
reformed trucker - Feb 12, 2012 10:07 PM
Yes you are, because Jim said so.
"but I guess since Bob Barr and Obama both have an A & an O & a B he confuses
the two."
I can see why; they are so close. ;)
"I haven't really defended him so much as called people out on the honesty of
claims made against him."
I caught that you were playing "devil's advocate", but he kept insisting you voted
for him. A few others and I knew you voted for Barr, and kept hammering him on
it.
"Just because I don't like someone it isn't an excuse to make up stories about
them!"
Apparently, for some it is.

'justice' system. Basically the author states that the primary purpose 'justice'
system was created to insure that anyone who has been incarcerated becomes a
repeat offender. The secondary purpose is to take the attention away from 'white
collar' criminals." - xtdr
O.K., now your questions make sense. Plus big prisons are a real money maker
for some. I think only those who commit the most heinous crimes should be
locked up, but some are locked up for the most trivial of things, which is
inhumane.

I have ordered 30+ courses on history, philosophy, and religion (although I would
stay away from Bart Ehrman because I've seen his arguments picked apart by
theologians) and I have only been disappointed in one so far; "Philosophy of
Religion". I didn't think he understood some of the arguments, and forced myself
through the last 4 lectures to finish it. Other than that, they have all been great! I
highly recommend them!
Wait until they are on sale, though. Once on their mailing list, you'll get a catalog
every 10 days or so. Every course is on sale at least a few times a year, usually
more.
Right now I'm 1/3 of the way through a 24 lecture series "Reason and Faith:
Philosophy in the Middle Ages" which has been very profitable. I've been a bit
distracted as of late by WPR 88.7 working out in Verona; they play classical
music from 9-3. Don't find that on the radio around here anymore.
There are some lectures on economics and literature that I want to order, and
some science ones only available on dvd, but money is a little tight yet coming
out of winter. Anytime the FedEx guy leaves a package on the stoop, the better
half says, "O.K., what did you order now, and how much did it cost?". At least
that's one vice she's supportive of, although sometimes she tries to intercept the
catalogs from the mail box if I don't bring in the mail. :)

"At home though I enjoy cranking up Led Zeppelin or Floyd."

It shows how weak his mind is because he was programmed to follow the right in

no need to show or prove his superiority . Has somebody told you (and it sunk in)
that you are inferior ? There are wise and smart people on both sides of any
argument . So why ?

competitions . When I played football I was with people who were professional
players who made the Super bowl ! When I was at work I worked with people in
the top 1/2 % in the USA ! I would do rowing with people that went to the

have reached the pinacles of there work ,sport , or hobby ! So when I talk about
true superiors I am talking about those that are so good at something that if
another person tries to out do them they do not boast, or flaunt their superiority .

Carl Hicks - Feb 17, 2012 7:24 AM
for something you continue to do. You claim that others caused you to call them
childish names by putting you down for your poor writing skills, it's not a valid
argument. Here try this on for size, ignore their transgressions and even if they
refuse to show you respect after explaining your poor English language skills and
you treat them with respect, then you have gained the moral high ground. By
continuing to call them names all you do is prove you do not deserve any respect
anyways. You expect respect but refuse to give it to those you expect it from.
I have watched this situation unfold and you seem to revel in name calling as you
claim being a victim. You expect others to show you respect and refuse to give it.
Why not diffuse the situation by simply using others correct names, then if they
continue to refuse to respect you ignore the disrespect, then others if they
continue to disrespect you will look the fool instead of you continuing to play the
fool.

I sincerely apologize to you WFB for criticizing you for your writing skills. I would like to put this whole sordid affair behind me/us.
If you apologized before, I am sorry I missed it. What blog did you offer your apology in?
However this comment makes me seriously doubt the sincerity of your apology (if you did indeed apologize); ““The only reason I am trying to be nice is so you can get beyond the talk and actually think about the outcome of your policies in this country .”
Perhaps you didn’t mean it the way it reads, I do not know. I also have no idea what policies you are talking about. Except for casting a vote or signing recall papers I have no influence on anything which have any effect on this country.
I would like to make a suggestion, do not try to change anyone’s thinking in these blogs no matter how sound your advice or suggestions may be. I have adopted this approach myself (and I hope you will as well) since it only creates animosity, just like pointing out spelling and/or grammatical errors. Based on the way you worded it I made the assumption that you were coming clean about the names you used to post under. Sorry about that.
Though again the sincerity of the apology is questionable because you ask at the end if it was acceptable to Jacob. (And before you become unhinged (sic) means thus or so, used within brackets to indicate that what precedes it is written intentionally or is copied verbatim from the original, even if it appears to be a mistake.)
I accept the apology anyway, and again I hope we can put this behind us.

complete 180 degree turn, he wasn't that grounded to begin with.” RT
My thoughts exactly! A truely staunch "liberal" would have held up to it.Because that degree of an epiphany just doesn’t happen in two hours. He would had to have been contemplating a change in political stance in order for it to happen that quickly.
This is funny, after I posted this to Jim’s blog in response to this comment;
"I vote as a centrist or independent...became more aligned with Christian
conservative values..." Hayett
“When was the last time you voted for a candidate that wasn't republican?
If has been a while ago I would say that you no longer vote as a centrist or an
independent. If you are consistently voting as a republican...”
Then I posted this;
“In other words; If it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it is a duck.”

I know, I know, I said; “do not try to change anyone’s thinking in these blogs no matter how sound your advice or suggestions may be...(and that) I have adopted this approach myself since it only creates animosity.”
However I know nothing I say (since he doesn’t trust believe or even like me or what I have to say in the first place) will breech the wall Jim has built around himself. A drawback is that any diagram or graph in the print version of a book is usually missing or scrambled in the electronic version. I have a few books (maybe a half dozen...or so) that are on my phone also in printed form which allowed me to compare the print version against the electronic version of the book.
While I like the phone app I definitely have a preference for the old ink and paper books over the electronic versions.

Do you work?Where?
I know you would never answer so stop fishing!
I would never consider answering you since I do not trust you anyhow!you
already admitted to being Jim in jacobs blog with your "even a blind squirrel finds
a nut " comment so wfb ( Jim ) just give it up!
WFB resident - Feb 21, 2012 11:05 PM
being sarcastic ! lol... I do not remember the blind squirrel comment . I have been
retired for several years ! I ran my own company and live off of my patents now !
I belonged to unions several times and found every one of them to be leaker
positions . I do not get a pension ! I do pay my entire 100% of heathcare (even
now). I still pay close to 50% in income taxes ! (different every year with in 5%) .
With that I still scrape by and watch leakers who do not work (ever) . Have more
toys and time to play than I do . What does the o say ? Give the leakers more ! So
Ex do you still work ? Get a pension ? Healthcare ? Who pays for it all ?

I love the feeling of a freshly shaved head, but it is VERY high maintenance. Let it go
a few days and it's like having a velcro head when taking your shirt off.

OK to not give them to other teachers ? Was it not you that said the smart teachers
would not work if they did not get better pay and benefits ? SO are you saying you
were not a good teacher ? If so why would you be teaching ? You do not know what
a pension or healthcare is either ! "ExToDResident - Feb 22, 2012 8:48 PM»

I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken. ;)
I have changed my views on certain subjects, but it was after ALOT of study and
grappling with the topic... not from reading a pamphlet or a few hours of talk
radio.
Jim may have just chosen poor wording to convey his thought; it came across
that he nonchalantly flip-flopped over a short time span.
reformed trucker - Feb 22, 2012 9:59 PM
OK, you're right... you are a bibliomaniac. :)
And I thought I was bad walking out of the bookstore with 3 or 4 new books...
reformed trucker - Feb 22, 2012 10:22 PM
Did you purchase them, or were they of your design? Your work, or an employee's?
Of what nature?
Inquiring minds want to know... :)

Ditto, welcome to the club... unfortunately.

It does not take a rocket scientist to have one . Nor does it take brains to put the
effort forth to use the patent to your benefit . I started my first with one that
allowed a foundry to cut down on waste . It was/is very simple ,Just an idea that I
took a step further . I have had several since . The first was/is the most exciting .
I was a Tool Maker by trade . I have yet to find a tool Maker who was not able to
design and improve upon current designs . But that was back in the day when you
needed to use your mind to solve problems . So I guess I was a problem solver
that is all ! NOW ! I am just fodder . lol...

Most companies will make their employees sign over rights to any idea that was
created while in their employment.
I wouldn't mind knowing if you used an attorney or applied for the patents yourself
and how much it cost to apply for them.
sharpaxe - Feb 23, 2012 5:41 AM
Dude....you should rephrase that. (pinky finger extended) lol
ExToDResident - Feb 23, 2012 12:11 PM
Nope it was not me that said that. To the best of my knowledge I haven't said
anything about teachers pay and/or benefits and I don't intend to say anything on
that topic.
You must have me confused with someone else.

conversation and/or argument in these blogs. Unlike some...
I do occasionally point out statements that I find ironic. Or I post information that I
believe to be pertinent to the discussion. And every now and then a snide comment
or two.
However I don't feel it necessary to comment on everything that is said in these
blogs.
WFB resident - Feb 23, 2012 2:14 PM
pretend to remember obscure comments from the past . But I have to say that it
does not sound like me . I love to comment on teachers . I could be wrong for some
times I write differently on purpose . Hell , I am even getting used to leaving spaces
between all my periods ! Could it be that I did not comment on teachers up to that
point ?
ExToDResident - Feb 23, 2012 2:46 PM
On page 7 (the previous page) of Andy's blog in response to my comment about
pensions and healthcare you made the assumption that I am a teacher.
Don't tell me that your memory is that short! Or that you can't remember a
comment you made yesterday!

“Ex , so as a teacher your employer did not give you those benefits ? So why is it

Yep that’s the one; Like I said I was never a teacher, ever.
“Was it not you that said the smart teachers would not work if they did not get better pay and benefits ?”
Nope that wasn’t me, like I said I was never, ever a teacher.
You do not know what a pension or healthcare is either!
"ExToDResident - Feb 22, 2012 8:48 PM Pension? Healthcare? What is that?""
I was being sarcastic; I spent most of my drafting career working on contract without benefits such as healthcare or a pension.
“I am not sure where the link is at the moment but it apparently was not you, that I meant to direct that comment . If you really need me to show you who that was directed towards . Let me know and I can try to figure out whom it was .”
No need, I do not care who the comment was directed toward.
“Sorry for I made a mistake !”
Apology accepted.
