Remember when Queen Nancy blamed high gas prices on President Bush?
Just a few short years ago, Madame Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi (D-Ca), blasted President Bush in 2007 for soaring gas prices. Now that gas costs are near or above the $4.00 per gallon mark - and are expected to keep increasing - not a peep from Ms. Pelosi.
Nope. Nada. Crickets chirp. As usual, Prez Obama gets a free pass - from his fellow Democrats, libs, and, of course, the accomplice mainstream media. Yet again, another classic example of liberal hypocrisy.

It's ridiculous now to assert the President is a factor.
There is nothing more to add.
As gas prices rise, the outcries against Obama will gather. Will you be one of them, Amy, and join the ranks of the hypocritical?

1) he went to war with no budget funding and borrowed the cost of sending troops to Iraq and Afghanistan. None of this was funded and Obama inherited that financial mess and brought it into the budget system in order to pay it down. It added greatly to the budget deficit.

Otherwise, I'd bet that lots of businesses are waiting for Walker's "re-election" after all the recall garbage is done, and then we'll see job growth in our state. Funny how the same lefties that threw a hissy fit about Walker are now gleeful about a lack of jobs - due to the political unrest ala recalls and nastiness they have unleashed upon the state. Not to mention the Dems stalling on bringing thousands of jobs to the state via a mine in northern Wisconsin (one suggestion - recall Dale Schultz if you really want to do us a favor - he's a Dem posing as a Republican. Needs to go!)
MGarber: It may have been ridiculous to assert that Bush was to blame for high gas prices years ago, but the media and Dems did. Over and over. Including Queen Pelosi. So what has changed? We have even higher gas prices, with a President who really doesn't seem to care. But now, he gets a free pass cuz he's a Dem/socialist? The hypocrisy of the left never ceases to amaze.

purpose ? So that was not Bushes fault ."
So then this is also true:
"jman you do realize that the Republicants that hold the purse strings did that on
purpose ? So that was not Obama's fault ."
If one is true than the other has to be as well......
MGarber - Mar 06, 2012 7:38 AM
Its obvious that he doesnt care. Just look at all the things he hasnt said or done.
"But now, he gets a free pass cuz he's a Dem/socialist?"
So you are saying he ?should? be held accountable??? Only because Bush was (as opposed to actually *being* accountable)???

Obama and the Dems would rather shove the "green" garbage down our throats. Look at what a bust the Chevy Volt has been. Look at Solyndra. Look at the wasted taxpayer dollars to fund pet liberal projects that - like liberal social programs - fail. Don't expect any help from Obama in regards to high gas costs.
Fun fact: when Obama became Prez, gas was $1.87 per gallon. Now it is nearing or above $4.00. And I believe that Barry & Co. want to see it go even higher and will do their best to make sure that happens.

Nukes and Oil provide more energy than they consume. Aside from that you have a point about Wind, Ethanol, and Solar.
Giving $500mm to your campaign boosters is an odd way for Obama to help a produce farmer keep his transportation costs down. Obama's energy policy reminds me of an old joke:
A drunk staggered into a bathroom and as he stood up 75 cents fell into the toilet. He looked for a minute and then took off his watch and dropped it in as well. Another man the bathroom saw this and asked why he dropped his watch into that mess - "Well I'm not reaching in there for only 75 cents." Obama said.
That watch belongs to the taxpayers.

None of those factors you mentioned affect the near term price of a barrel of oil or a gallon of gas.
"Fun fact: when Obama became Prez, gas was $1.87 per gallon. "
And my cholesterol was 175.
"Now it is nearing or above $4.00. "
And my cholesterol is 195.
"And I believe that Barry & Co. want to see it go even higher and will do their best to make sure that happens. "
Yeah, cause the higher it goes, the more misery it causes, thereby insuring his re-election. Brilliantly evil!

So does large scale wind.
The problem is, only one can readily be used to run cars, trucks, trains and planes.
So NGas discover/production in this country is booming (what??? Nobody gonna thank Obama??). Why isnt anybody clammoring for CNG/LNG powered cars and infrastructure??
"Hence, Obama doesn't care in the least that most Americans - who love their autos and love to drive - are suffering at the pump. "
Yeah! Do you have any idea what it costs to fill up my 400hp Dodge Hemi??? Doesnt Obama CARE?!?!?!?!?!
MGarber - Mar 06, 2012 9:57 AM
You are only off by a factor of 1000 (1kw = 1000 watts).
Also, your 3 year ago price is high, and your current price is low. Or you arent comparaing similar items.
Also, the *installed* prices/costs are a significant percentage of the total cost.

Apparently, high gas prices are for our own good and we should ride trains and busses instead of our cars.
The US can thank T Boone Pickens, ConocoPhillips, El Paso and Cheniere Energy for the investment in and production of Natural Gas. Obama picked losers and the free market picked winners.
