I predict...
Concerning the local and national political scenes, I have the following predictions:
LOCAL
1) Governor Scott Walker will win the recall election.
2) Voter I.D. legislation will be upheld by the Wisconsin Supreme Court and be back in place for the recall elections.
3) The economic landscape in Wisconsin will continue to improve under Governor Walker's leadership.
4) The Wisconsin media will continue its biased reporting against Governor Scott Walker and all things conservative.
5) Democrat Representative Tammy Baldwin will not win the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Herbie "do nothing" Kohl. This seat looks good for either former Governor Tommy Thompson or Mark Neumann to win.
NATIONAL
1) President Barack Obama will lose the presidential race to Republican Mitt Romney.
2) Republicans in the upcoming elections will win big, similar to the Republican tsunami in 2010.
3) The United States Supreme Court will rule Obamacare unconstitutional.
4) North Korea, Iran, and other enemies of the United States, will continue to thumb their noses at the United States (and the ineffectual and useless United Nations) as long as Obama is in office.
5) The national media will continue its biased reporting against all things conservative. They will step up their efforts to get Obama re-elected, to no avail.
While the upcoming year(s) look good for conservatives and Republicans, the damage that Obama has done to the country in less than four years is shocking. Won't it be ironic when Mitt Romney becomes the next president and can honestly blame many of the nation's current ills on the past "leader?"

Only predict sure things.

Look at Obama's poll numbers and approval ratings. Dismal. Look at what Obama continues to do: dissing the U.S. Supreme Court yet again, playing the class envy card every chance he gets, ignoring (and probably celebrating) skyrocketing gas prices, ignoring what is going on in Iran and North Korea, wishing to grow government, promoting the "entitlement" mentality, toying with the unemployment figures to give a false impression that things are improving, etc.
Leader? No. Not in any sense.
Obama needs to go - and even Obama supporters are just grasping at any reason, no matter how weak, to vote for him. Some just don't want to admit to buyers remorse. However, if they wish to continue to see the United States sink deeper into despair and socialism, they'll vote for Barry. If they have realized they were fooled the first time around, there is "hope" for them to "change."
And I don't see any problem getting Walker re-elected. Falk? Give me a break. She's bought and paid for by the unions and people know it. She's a huge leftie. Barrett? A two-time loser for Governor? What record does he have to run on as Mayor of Milwaukee? What has he done for Milwaukee during his years in office? Just like Barry O. - little to no accomplisments of which to speak.
Despite what the media wants us to believe, the majority of Americans don't want what Obama and the libs/socialists are trying to do to the country.

If you are willing to tie your dog to the roof of the car for 12 hours, for the sake of expediency and goal orientation, how much humanity do you really have inside?
Who would you tie to the roof of the American economy so that the 1% get a smooth ride to their summer mansions?
Just asking.

would say if Bush was in office ?
jman99 - Apr 15, 2012 10:33 AM
The "O" was not even there. Are you accusing the president of using prostitutes?

WFB: Obama had nothing to do with the bad behavior of some of his security detail in Colombia. However, talk about a role reversal - the people entrusted to guard the president behaved badly. During the Clinton years, the President behaved badly while the people entrusted to guard him were models of discreet and professional behavior.
Jmann99: The 1% vs. the 99% is a joke. And lets not forget that many people in the U.S. pay NO federal income taxes (so the "99% figure is dishonest to begin with.) The rich already are paying the greatest percentage of the taxes in the country. Why does Obama continue to punish sucess and try to stir up the masses to believe (incorrectly) that wealthy people are somehow only weathly cuz they are greedy and have made their $$$ off the backs of the poor downtrodden. And the "poor downtrodden" in the United States would be considered middle class in most other countries around the globe.
Face it, as Obama and the left continue to wage class warfare, what is being overlooked is that everyone has opportunities and can be successful if they get an education, work hard, etc. They will NOT suceed under Obama's "let the government provide" philosophy that he is pushing. Are people really willing to sit back and become babies - allowing the government to provide? Losing all sense of personal responsibility and pride in the process? I don't think so. I have more belief in the integrity and willingness of the American people to better themselves WITHOUT government intrusion than the president of the United States does.

From the very http address you cite, the headline reads:
"New poll finds Walker in tight matchups with Barrett, Falk."
And I note, this is a blog post at the Urinal/Sentinal. Also, my comment was not directed at the Walker race. It specifically mentions Obama/Romney.
From USA Today (http://content.usatoday.com/communities/theoval/post/2011/06/obama-and-romney-in-dead-heat-poll-says/1)
Headline: "Obama and Romney in dead heat, poll finds" (with Romney ahead by a few percentage points...)
From Politico:
Headline: Obama and Romney in dead heat, Fox News poll finds
In the story, Romney leads Obama by two percentage points.
By the way, I noticed that Dustin Klein has copied my blog.
Guess what they say is true: that imitation is the most sincerest form of flattery. Thanks, Mr. Klein!

It's also funny that Klein has to chime in (after his farewell blog: "Goodnight and good luck, adieu" http://www.livinglakecountry.com/blogs/communityblogs/122187503.html)
right after Andy Kristensen's most recent post (trying to defend the indefensible actions of his mother - a former Sussex school board member who signed the Walker recall petition, trying to hide her real identity by spelling her name incorrectly. This was not the first time on a recall petition, either, as she did the same thing on Alberta Darling's recall petition. Kristensen's (I think, unlike his mom, I can spell his last name correctly) blog was recently taken down, as I think Andy even realized it was pointless trying to explain away his mother's lack of integrity. All he succeeded in doing was digging a deeper hole for himself and his mom, who lost her re-election bid, by the way).
Maybe Klein and Kristensen are operating as a tag team?
Whatever. I still find it flattering that Klein saw fit to try to mimic this blog of mine, even if his predictions are a pipe dream.

Mitt Romney has never served in the military.
" Before joining college, Romney had received a deferment from the draft as a Mormon 'minister of religion' for the duration of his missionary work in France, which lasted two and a half years. At the time, there was an agreement of sorts between the church and the Selective Service allowing exemptions from the draft for missionaries. Before and after his missionary deferment, Romney also received nearly three years of deferments for his academic studies. "
Missionary in France? Seriously?
Didn't they need Missionaries in Vietnam at the time?
Typical 1% .
jman99 - Apr 15, 2012 3:51 PM
"At culturally conservative BYU, Romney continued to be separated from much of the upheaval of the era, and did not join in those protests that did occur against the war or the LDS Church's policy at the time of denying full membership to blacks"

Rock star status? That has disappeared. Face it, Obama is clueless and sinking fast. Kick him out of office before U.S. relations around the world sink even lower. Remember when other countries used to fear us? Respect us? Know that we meant business? Oh yeah, that's when George W. Bush was in charge. Now we have Caspar Milquetoast (aka Barry O.) trying his best to debate and deal with countries who are now laughing at the United States. He's falling flat on his face.
Where IS that international genius Joe Biden? The foreign policy expert? Still locked in the basement at the White House? Face it, Biden doesn't have a clue or the smarts either.
Romney and Rubio (or Ryan) in 2012!
