I have a background in science and writing. I consider myself liberal, progressive, environmentally aware on many issues, but also believe that conservatism has a place and is valid.
To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women. Conan the Barbarian
I’m more interested in what happens after the election and how we liberals, conservatives, progressives, and the rest whom have been against Scott Walker are going to be treated.
If you believe the polls, Tom Barret and the rest of us who will vote against Scott Walker will lose tomorrow.
- Will Walker, the Walker backing WI supreme court, and the Pro-Walker legislature, with the support of JS communications and it’s mouthpieces (620 WTMJ, Journal Sentinel and LLC), crush us while we are routed, to plunge a dagger into us to kill us off?
“To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women.” Conan the Barbarian
- Or will Walker and Walker supporters be graceful and offer an olive branch to the loser in a bid to work together?
“Hey, I’ll buy you a beer!”, “Let’s talk the rest of this out.”
But this is what is going to happen, because what we have witnessed before this recall election by the legislation enacted into law:
If Walker wins and the Republicans can keep the state senate I would expect that Milwaukee and other non-Walker strongholds and anti-Walker voting demographics in this state have not seen anything yet as far as the legislation attacking them; The executive branch with the backup of the WI supreme court is going to do all it can to use state government to punish and crush the opposition.
Let’s face it I, a liberal; I am a scapegoat and my city is a scapegoat, women, immigrants, teachers, public workers, unions both public and private, and minorities. We are all scapegoats, lynched as the reason for the cause of all the problems within our state.
“"In Germany they came first for the Communists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me, and by that time no one was left to speak up." Martin Niemöller
Which group will be the next scapegoat in Wisconsin and whored as an excuse to justify new legislation to suppress those that oppose and those that may in the future?

for your last comment from another country . PDLS's are the nazis !! Just another
socialist group that deems all others bad . If you think about it PDLS's were the ones
demonizing the tea Party ! Walker ! Palin ! Anybody they were against !! The only
thing Barrett and his friends are missing are the brown shirts !!
Jacob Pickard - Jun 04, 2012 9:24 PM
Just admit it, you like to see people like me crushed, liberals pounded down. At least be honest to yourself and to the rest of us that entertain you.
That's the problem with pro-walker supporters, they have shed their honesty to themselves to crush those with an ideology that they hate.
WFB resident - Jun 04, 2012 9:39 PM
point !! I do admit I hate your ideology though . It kills people and crushes the
human spirit . Not to mention that it makes racism seem OK to Dumocrats . We in
the Republican Party (Lincoln) stopped Slavery ,and the Nazis (New York's masses)
.It was the Dumocrats that supported the KKK ! You are correct your history as a
corrupt group is /shall be remembered .

I am curious if you could expound on this a bit. What are you expecting to happen, the SS to show up at your door?
Jake, you are not a victim. No one is out to get you. No one’s rights have been stripped. What this is about is taking the state in a different direction. After 8 years of progressive policies, the people of this state had said enough, this is not working and that we need to move in a different direction. It really is that simple. Tomorrow, the people again get to choose if they want to continue with the direction that Walker has gone or go back to progressive policies. Whether you agree with the premise of the recall or not, that is what is on the ballot.
Jacob Pickard - Jun 04, 2012 9:54 PM
No, at least not yet. You need to do a little more meditation on the uses of having a scapegoat.
Jacob Pickard - Jun 04, 2012 9:57 PM
Thanks for your reply, but I don't think of myself as one. A victim is one who(m) does not stand up and fight back.
Jacob Pickard - Jun 04, 2012 10:03 PM
Well actually people who disagree with me have been out to get me. As far as taking the state in a different direction, I would be more willing if the Gov. wasn't so willing to use "divide and conquer" tactics on the people he is supposed to represent and scapegoat the city I live in and concrentrate power into his office. Process and respect is still important. The ends do not justify the means.
Jacob Pickard - Jun 04, 2012 10:09 PM
This is where I will really have to differ with you. Doyle was not a progressive and neither was the legislater btwn 2008-2010, other than the state budget in which they railroaded state Repub's (which I thought was wrong), they passed NO leftwing legislation that fundametnally changed the state.
Doyle and state democrats are moderate, since those on the right are now extreme.
Jacob Pickard - Jun 04, 2012 10:12 PM
100% agree. That is June 5th's reality. What happens after is at this moment all left to speculation. And from the evidence that I am left with, I would expect legislative actions that are similiar if Republicans get complete control again.
Bernie Ziebart - Jun 04, 2012 10:19 PM
And I contend that Doyle was a hard left extremist and Walker is the moderate. The position on the left-right continuum is subjective.
More appropriately: Doyle's policies got us $3.6 billion in debt while Walker's policies got us a surplus.
Jacob, you are paranoid and in need of some medical attention. You are mis-informed and misguided, but not a scapegoat. When Walker wins, he won't stomp on anyone. My hope is that he continues to enact policies to the benefit of the state.
Jacob Pickard - Jun 04, 2012 10:25 PM
Please prove to me with your superior mechanistic logic that I am being paranoid?
Also making accusations like you just did that I need medical attention is a personal attack that (please read the posting guidelines) is against the rules.
Jacob Pickard - Jun 04, 2012 10:57 PM
If you add up all the legislation, none of which was created with bi-partision support and the groups that it targets, you find a clear correlation on what groups that the legilsation attacks.
Logic vs. Faith?
I may not be a specific target, but liberals like me are.
Anytime JS Communications, the greatest Scott Walker supporter for the past 10 years could cut my blog, because I know that JS communications and great number of cronies they have placed in editorial positions in both radio, the newspaper, and this blog are corrupt to create & make a Grand Punch and Judy show for us all to join in.
Your side will seek to crush us and at least admit it, there is no refuge in pretending that this is not the ultimate goal.
Bernie Ziebart - Jun 04, 2012 11:35 PM
I am sorry. I meant no attack other than a stab at humor.
I am happy for you in your many accomplishments.
I feel sorry for you (not because I don't think you bright...I think you are very bright) But you have an obvious blindspot. You have believed many of the lies that you were fed. The lies that you have believed have distorted your perception of reality. The deepest desire of myself or Scott Walker is that you keep your right and ability to blog and to say things that I don't agree with.
I know Scott. Even in the darkest days of April and May 2011, he would constantly tell his family and supporter to remain kind and gracious, especially to the people who are hurting you the most. Scott said, "If the person carrying a Hitler=Walker sign is thirsty, give them something to drink...and not just anything. Give them your best; of yourself and the drink."
There might be some temptation to stick it to the opponents, but after the elections Scott not going to gloat. He will simply says that we need to get back to the business of running the state.
There are paid aggitators and poverty profiteers, but they tend to be on the liberal end of the spectrum. There are people who want to shut down all dissenting voices, but those are not Republicans.
Scott Walker has merely freed the state from the death grip of union control. Because in the long term, it is the best course of action for the state. States like Illinois and California are handing our IOUs because they don't have the money to pay their employees. If I were an employee of the state, I would rather pay 5% towards my pension than get an IOU.

down they might pull Wisconsin in with it . exp. Greece,Spain and europe !
Carl Hicks - Jun 05, 2012 1:20 AM
partisianship will have to happen. I wish the third party guy could win the
governors seat! The recall would be a worthwhile endeavor if neither of the two
controlling parties won anything .

I gotta say though, you aren't going to make it easy for people to extend the olive branch to you the way you framed your writing today. You positioned a possible Walker victory analogous to the Nazi's and whatever Olive Branch you hold out, should Barrett win, sounds more like a whip. The scapegoat act is old.
Not going to hold you to that beer, but I'll buy you one regardless if Walker has to change his work address or not.
yert49 - Jun 05, 2012 11:51 AM
As far as I'm concerned, let-em. As much as the left has tried to make this garbage stick to Walker, it hasn't. Tells you something, eh Lovitz?
Your not a victim, your lazy! You have no one to blame but yourself.
Slap a smile on your face and face the world and that truly will be the ticket.
Who knows, you might even latch on to the elusive, Morgan Fairchild!

drink...and not just anything. Give them your best, of yourself and the drink."
So ends todays reading from the Book of Walker.
My what a sermon from our Lord Walker, marvel at his benevolence.
I have t find a copy of the Conservative Bible I can't imagine the amount of wisdom
it must hold from all the political profits of conservatism.
