This is what Democracy looks like!!!
Congratulations to Governor Scott Walker and Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch in their solid victories on June 5th!!!
Wisconsin IS moving forward.
The good people of Wisconsin turned out in droves to support the Governor and Lt. Governor -
- in spite of the months of obnoxious protests and bad behaviors from unionistas/libs/Dems/anti-Walker folks in the state capitol and elsewhere
- in spite of all the out-of-state focus and millions of dollars funneled in to oust Walker from the big unions and politicians, including the Obama White House
- in spite of the sleazy and despicable campaign run by Mayor Trolley Tom Barrett of Milwaukee (Barrett really does have some apologizing to do to Governor Walker for his bad and disrespectful behavior. At least FINALLY during his concession speech, Barrett referred to Walker as "Governor!" That was a first!)
- in spite of the in-your-face recall petitioners and intimidation from the left across the state
- in spite of Voter ID being temporarily blocked by liberal activist judges from the People's Republic of Madison
- in spite of the last-minute garbage from the left, claiming Walker had a "love child." Claiming that Walker was going to be indicted in the never-ending laugher of a "John Doe" investigation. Claiming robo-calls were going out on election day from the Republicans telling people they didn't need to vote if they signed a recall petition...what a hoot!
- in spite of out-of-staters from Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, and other states, being bussed to Wisconsin on election day to "help"
- in spite of the leftie "get out and vote" (early and often!) efforts
WOW!!!
It is truly a great day for our state!!!
What's next? Well, Wisconsin has officially become a "Republican state." (You can bet that Democrat Tammy Baldwin (running for the U.S. Senate) and President Barack Obama are on shaky ground...) The momentum will continue to grow as Walker's reforms continue to improve the state's fiscal and business climate. People seem to like less government and lower taxes...and this WILL catch on nationwide. Wisconsin is leading the way for the rest of the nation. We can be proud - we saved our state and the reverberations from the recall election WILL be felt across the country.
Next up - November!!!

In addition - Governor Walker had every right to raise as much money as he could to defend his role as Governor. If the left doesn't like it - too bad! Walker didn't win cuz he "raised the most cash." Walker won because the majority of Wisconsinites approve of the job he is doing.
Try to spin this one. Try telling us that it's no big deal. Try telling us this has no national impact. Try telling us Walker will soon be in the big house cuz of the never-ending John Doe.
What YOU should be telling us is the constant Dem/lib refrain: "This is what Democracy looks like!"
And this is what most of us have to say to the recall organizers:
"Shame shame shame!"
Gosh, what a great day!

For the majority of us - what a GREAT DAY!!! After 16 months of whining and hissy fits by little children who couldn't abide by election results - SMACKDOWN!
Congrats Governor Walker and Lt. Governor Kleefisch!!! We (the voters) stand with you and our great state. THIS IS WHAT DEMOCRACY LOOKS LIKE!!!

That is classless, and counterproductive.

Just how "productive" was it, MGarber, for 14 leftie elected officials to flee the state and hide out in Illinois to avoid DOING THEIR JOBS???
Don't whine to me about "classless" and "counterproductive." Those two words very accurately describe the hissy fits, behaviors, and actions of the anti-Walker crowd for the past months on end!
Sorry, MGarber, nothing you lefties can say today will dampen the elation many of us have right now after this election!

This election was a replay of the first...statistically identical:

The negative ads and the "plight" of the $125,000 bus driver fell on deaf ears. WI voted for reform, got it, and affirmed it.

OK; you're going to justify your classless and unproductive attitude by saying someoneelse was more class and unproductive? Yeah. Why am I not surprised?

Did you take an extra dose of idiot pills this morning?

the untraceable PAC money that I have a problem with. "Or foreigners like Soros" - funny - I thought George Soros was an American citizen. Of course I also think Barack Obama is an American citizen too.

UPDATED Tuesday, March 15, 2011 --- 2:40 p.m.
Democrats, Republicans make moves to work together'
MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- "Wisconsin state senators are starting to take steps to reconcile following the Democrats' decision to flee the state for three weeks to block passage of a bill taking away most collective bargaining rights for public workers.
On Tuesday Republican Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald said he would rescind contempt orders placed against the Democrats when they were gone. That will allow Democrats to have their votes in committee action counted."
And did they try to negotiateRef33? Nope! Could have at least fought to the last day but those liberal cowards chose to run and hide. And if they were Republicans? All 12 would have been recalled. But like Obama's fund raising, not a peep out of libs like you. Start the recall of the dems ref33 and do what is right for WI. Since Walker and the Repubs. didn't violate any rules, ethics or morals, why not recall those that ran and fled the state?
Mucho - Jun 06, 2012 9:44 AM
The WI voters that don't participate in all of the above, DON'T care and obviously saw this whole recall effort as a gigantic sideshow. The 20% on opposite sides of the debate are more polarized than ever. The 60% in the middle voted exactly the same as in 2010. They like Walker more than Barrett.
Good luck trying to move jman and referee off the left rail, they are as much stuck there as you are on the right. It's like trying to teach a rock how to swim, you can pretend with one but if you try with too many, you will drown.
WFB resident - Jun 06, 2012 9:47 AM
Jim - I think the Democratic Senators would have negotiated with Gov. Walker, if he
would have been willing to negotiate - but he wasn't. What law did they violate? If
they did, why weren't they arrested and charged when they returned?"
Is this not proof how unknowledgable the PDLS's are ? Walker went to the unions
and asked for concessions !!!! The reply from the unions was: You have no authority
to ask such a thing ! lol... Ref take the time and look it up . pay better attention to
reality please !!
ahemmer - Jun 06, 2012 9:48 AM
No, finally WE - the silent majority - righted a wrong. The recalls were WRONG on so many levels except any that REALLY mattered - like criminal activity or malefacence in office. The Republicans who were targeted for recalls only passed legislation that a loud and obnoxious minority didn't like. That's the ONLY reason for the recalls. Cuz the lefties who - lest I remind you again - told us after Obama won that "elections have consequences." Well, the lefties couldn't abide by the results of the election in 2010. Hence, this huge waste of taxpayer money for recalls for NO GOOD REASON.
And for that, I think that I - along with many other Walker/Republican/conservative supporters allow a chance to gloat for a day or two. After all the nastiness directed at Walker and Walker supporters for SO long - months on end - in which lefties behaved with NO class (including Trolley Tom Barrett) and worked to counter legislation passed (such as VOter ID), who would you say is really classless and counterproductive? I don't think my comments - "boo hoo hoo, too bad, so sad"- measure up to the nastiness/counterproductivness/ and classless behavior of the lefties/union thugs/anti-Walker folks which we all were forced to witness for months on end.
