In honor of the GOP Convention, a kind, compassionate tweet from liberal Hollywood actress, Ellen Barkin...

Oh, those self-proclaimed open-minded, caring, compassionate liberals! Ya gotta love 'em. Just as President Obama called for a "new civility" after the Arizona shootings, then turned around and proceeded with an in the gutter sleaze campaign against Mitt Romney, seems that Ms. Barkin didn't get the memo on civility, either.
Does anyone out there think for a minute if any Republican Hollywood actor/actress (I know, they are a scarce breed in tinseltown) had uttered such words aimed at the Democratic National Convention that this wouldn't be a full-blown news story 24/7 for days on end? The liberal media would be besides themselves to destroy whomever would have had the nerve to tweet such reprehensible views.
Just sayin'
Hypocrisy is alive and well - in the Democratic party.
On a happier note, looks like a great GOP Convention! The state of Wisconsin is represented well - with Reince Priebus, Ron Johnson, Scott Walker, Sean Duffy, and of course - our own Paul Ryan making Wisconsin proud! Our state is a leader in setting the tone for the future political landscape in the United States. Looking good!!!

It is going to be fun watching both the convention and the media try to wrap a thunderstorm around Romney's neck. What a wierd time we live in!

Also heard that 30-year old activist pretend college student, Susan "give me free birth control" Flukes is going to be a speaker, too! Wow. This could be one of the better comedy shows of the year.
Bring on "we be gaffes" Biden!!!

Ellen Barkin received the original tweet. She thought enough of it - and agreed with it - to pass it on. Meaning, she is in full agreement with the nasty, name-calling, "hope you die" sentiments aimed at the GOP in Tampa.
Spin it anyway you want, jman99. Barkin IS responsible.
In Tampa, our Governor - Scott Walker - received one of the biggest standing O's - and his speech was right on. Our "Cheesehead Revolution" is in full-swing and Wisconsin is a shining star. Our state should be proud! Ann Romney's speech was also very eloquent and poignant.
And funny how the GOP offers up actual results and ideas and solutions.
What will the Dems dreg up at their convention? Obama's past four years? How's that hope and change? What can they say? High unemployment? No jobs? Weaker military? Worse off middle class? Lack of any foreign policy? Bigger government? More federal rules and regulations created to stifle businesses? Making America mediocre? Obamatax which will cost us all - paying more for less service? WOW!!!
Even though he had sexcapades with a young intern in the Oral Office as well as rape charges and other affairs, better dust off Bill Clinton to speak about the "war on women." Yeah, that's the ticket!
Too funny!

ignorance is bliss !!

Must be because they don't want to employ US sailors and crew and would rather fly a flag of convenience in order to hire lower cost foreign labor and avoid US maritime safety rules.
Typical Mepublicans.

Get out of the gutter of Obama's campaign and watch the Convention. Positive, upbeat, "can do" attitudes abound. Didn't hear Christie or Romney even bring up BO's name. Just talked up the capability of the American worker to be successful given a leader that empowers the people instead of divides the country by class.
We are getting to the time in the campaign where Obama runs out of bullets and he is about to throw his gun and run. Don't be the last one standing up for his record, come over to the side of opportunity behind a bi-partisan leader like Romney.

Did you see that nitwit from Yahoo. He got what he deserved for the ignorant racist fool that he is. It's about time that these fools get fired.

Of course, you'd get quite a bit of pushback from the anti-education, Xenophobic, anti women, gay bashing, and racist elements.
WFB resident - Aug 30, 2012 8:13 AM
many women in its ranks ! Many minorities ! and do not gay bash at all !! Please
show me any gay bashing ? Did any of you pay attention to one of the R mayors her

The chairman of a subcommittee that oversees issues related to climate change, Representative John Shimkus of Illinois is — you guessed it — a climate-change denier. OK, fine; but what does he base his beliefs on?? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7h08RDYA5E.
This guy is Chairman! of the panel.

"In lieu of airing speeches from former Democratic Rep. Artur Davis, a black American; Mia Love, a black candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives from Utah; and Texas senatorial hopeful Ted Cruz, a Latino American, MSNBC opted to show commentary anchored by Rachel Maddow from Rev. Al Sharpton, Ed Schultz, Chris Matthews, Chris Hayes and Steve Schmidt.
Throughout this convention, Matthews has accused the Republicans of playing dog-whistle racist politics while on scene in Tampa. It isn’t clear, however, if Matthews will hurl accusations of racism at Davis, Love or Cruz for speeches his network failed to broadcast."

And reading the local Urinal/Sentinel coverage of the GOP event, it is so obvious that it is very painful for Urinal "reporters" to provide any positive notes in their "reporting" of the event. Whatever. No wonder MSNBC/NBC and the local paper continue to lose followers...
