Reader e-mails
Readers often e-mail me articles, pictures, etc. that they wish to share. Such items usually relate to the current political environment and people's displeasure, fear, and anger with the current president and administration in Washington D.C. Rather than devote an individual blog to one particular e-mail as I have done in the past, I thought I'd post a few of the pictures and a quote (the same quote was sent from several readers - interesting!) that I have received over the past week or two. Enjoy!
Here is the interesting quote sent to yours truly from several of my blog followers. Guess who said it?
"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our government's reckless fiscal policies.
Increasing America's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that "the buck stops here." Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better."
No. Mitt Romney did not make this statement! ( Although Governor Romney surely could use this in campaign ads!) The actual words were uttered by - drum roll please - Senator Barack Hussein Obama from 2006, criticizing President Bush. Just a few short years ago. Simply amazing, isn't it? The irony is priceless.
--------------
In response to the failed policies of Obama comes the following yard sign, which has been popping up in various states across the nation, including Illinois and Michigan:

Or how about this:

Down south in Georgia we find:

A two-sided sign (front): that caused quite a stir:

back:

And this one:

Following is a billboard that has been popping up nationwide, even in Wisconsin. Yes, you can see the same billboard off of I94 eastbound not far from Milwaukee::

And last but not least, photos of things to come - in January 2013:

Thanks to all my readers who sent me the e-mailed pictures/quote I used in this post. Enjoy a good laugh and remember- go vote (and like good Republicans/conservatives - only once!)! Even with the "cheat" factor in play, it's looking good for Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan. The polls are showing Romney/Ryan ahead - and I'd venture to say they have a bigger lead across the nation than what is actually being reported. (As an added plus, Mitt Romney did yet another excellent job in the debates. Last night he was clearly the winner over a petty, angry Obama. As some have suggested, Romney appeared to be the president during the debates, while Obama appeared as more of a desperate, childish challenger!)
We are now going into the home stretch - both in Wisconsin and the nation. Two more weeks to go!
As uber-leftie Michael Moore stated: "People should practice the words "President Romney!"

yesterday?
Debate didn't turn out the way you hoped?

GWB: I disagree with your assertion that Obama and Romney have the same foreign policy plans. Far from it. For one, Romney will not go around apologizing to any country that will listen as to all the perceived ills of America. Romney made that quite clear last night. Secondly, Romney will be much more forceful regarding Iran with tougher sanctions. Also, Romney will embrace Israel as the true friend it is to the United States. (Barry O was lying through his teeth on his "pro-Israel" stance. He hasn't shown a "pro-Israel" stance during his presidency, but then during the debates he does? Hmmm.) Romney will also take on China and currency manipulation - forcing China to play by the rules, thereby enhancing our trade status.
Aside from foreign policy, Romney will also lead the way to repeal Obamacare - as he has said repeatedly. Romney will also LEAD as president - a welcome change from the empty suit currently in office.

But I could swear that you posted a pre-debate blog expressing optimism for a
Romney "win" around 6pm.
Must be these tired "old" eyes since we all know that you would never post a blog
and then remove it.
ahemmer - Oct 23, 2012 6:41 PM
And you are correct. I would never waste my time doing a blog just to remove it a few minutes later.

Remember all the promises he made? Cut the deficit in half? (Didn't happen, instead he doubled it!).
Close Club Gitmo? (Didn't happen. Still open for business!).
Transparency in government? (Didn't happen - Obama's government doesn't tell the people anything! Witness the debacle in Libya and the outright lies from the administration. Or how Obamacare was passed - it had to be passed so we peons could learn what was in the bill!).
Unemployment should be below 6% by now! (It is 7.8% - and even that is a bogus number based on how many people have dropped out of even looking for a job!).
The list goes on. Obama is a liar. He looks like a liar and sounds like a liar and isn't used to getting called out on his lies - cuz he has the media and his peeps shielding him. Romney took him to task. Romney brought out the socialist Obama. Romney made him mad.
Good. Enough people saw the debates and the childish and petty behavior of the "Commander-In-Chief." His days in office are numbered. He is out the door on the 6th. People do not want to "get fooled again." Wise up, GWB. The Emperor has no clothes.

Dole, "I know it, you know it and the American people know it". We all know it!
Obama is going to be case study in how not be President. And I know it's a stretch,
but wouldn't it be great if we won the House and Senate and just hauled off and
flattened you magpies once and for all!!!!!!

can even be a step closer to getting rid of Universal Healthcare, Medicare and that
waste of employer's money, Social Security. The middle class NOW has an exciting
future ahead of it.
Hopefully with the Tea Party firmly in power after our next election, our next goal
must be to rid our nation of the costly farm subsidies and the ethanol subsidies that
are raising food prices. We then can eliminate those student loan subsidies, pesky
minimum wage law, that profit killing EEOC and finally OSHA. It's time that those of
us in the middle class step forward and do whats right. Just think, with unregulated
labor in our great nation, employers will create thousands of jobs overnight. Jobs
will flood back from China and India. Who needs student loans and college
educations with the type of jobs we want back in the USA. They have the booming
economies right now. When all those jobs come back, it will be an exciting era for
the working people of the USA. We will live like China does now, a little smog is
really no big deal, and our big corporations will make billions in profits! What are we
waiting for? We could see close to 100% employment! Not just for 18-65 year olds,
I'm talking full time jobs for everyone 12 year olds all the way until the day a person
dies. What a great world we can leave for the next generation.
Just think how proud we can be when our kids and grand kids ask us, "what
happened to the middle class in America?". We can all look them in the eye and say,
"We did our part to get rid of it"!
yert49 - Oct 23, 2012 10:05 PM
the bureaucracy. If you have no idea then explore all of the implications of Dodd
Frank. You may sit there and lament the passing of the era of "way too big
government". But give yourself a chance, you might surprise yourself without the
crutch. Most of your optimistic fellow human beings have faith in you.
WizerthnUUU - Oct 23, 2012 10:27 PM
what it needs without government oversight? Unregulated labor with education
standing on its own two feet? The elimination of SS, Healthcare and Medicare will
require most people, due to low wages, to work until the day they die. I don't know
any good conservative who feels minimum wage laws are good and it's hard to save
for "retirement" at min wage. This is the world you want! Isn't it?? If not what
parts do you like right now? All I hear is that all this stuff is bad, bad, bad for us in
the middle class.
yert49 - Oct 23, 2012 11:00 PM
Enlighten us with how the middle class has progressed in the past 4 years. Gas
prices higher. Unemployment at 8%. Take home pay lower. College loans more
expensive. Costs higher. You seriously have no clue what our talking about.
Your embarrassing a philosophy that you he no idea how to pay for.
OK , start answering what I asked of you, if you have the intellect. Please tell me if
you actually will so I can call the pharmacist!
