Person of the Year

It's official!  After a horrid four years, with an economy in the tank, out-of-control spending, an ever-growing population dependent upon the government for food stamps and many other aspects of their lives, millions of Americans out of work, and a presidency that gives ole' Jimmy Carter a run for his money on being the worst president ever, Obama has been named Time Magazine's "Person of the Year."  (I think this is akin to winning a Noble Prize for doing nothing, an award Obama received early on in his first four years...for doing nothing...)

Yes, Time.  That irrelevant leftie publication with an ever-dwindling readership has seen fit to honor Obama.

Or is it really an honor?  Time editor Rick Stengel had this to say about Obama's selection: 

"He's basically the beneficiary and the author of a kind new America - a new demographic, a new cultural America that he is now the symbol of."

EXACTLY!!!  

Thank you, Mr. Stengel.  Translation:  Obama is the face of the pro-socialist -entitlement-bigger government, me-me-me crowd.  The likes of who spit upon the Constitution every chance they get.  I also think Stengel is referencing the fact that Obama received many votes of the "low information voter" (as conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh likes to call morons who don't have a clue about politics).  The "low information vote" (as well as early voter registration and votes, votes, votes in certain precincts that exceeded the local voting populations...) helped Obama to a second term to continue on his path to destroy America.  Yippee!!!  Give the guy a standing O!!!

Gosh darn!  Socialists must be celebrating today!  Their Dear Leader has achieved another empty victory - winning "Person of the Year" for....for....for....being able to fool the clueless yet again???

    Everyday is a holiday here in the Workers Pradise. Today however was reserved for Mother-In-Law's Day and tomorrow is Spit On The Constitutuion Day. But we'll fit this one in somehow.

    no I only mean that in the sense that the other blog was far more important than you ever lasting hate of Obama.

    But I could be wrong. I guess a good hate can be just as important to some people.

    This truly should disturb many. Tim Cook, Malala Yousafzai, Ron Paul, Paul Ryan, Gov Walker, Navy Seals (or our entire military), are a few that come to mind. These are people who made impacts and changes for the good. President Obama has moved us backwards. Foreign affairs, our nation’s standings with economics, educational standards, bond ratings, and the anger and dislike most have for America are not qualities coming from a Person of the Year.
    With Hollywood and the media handing out these awards, I can’t see how President Obama and his staff will be able to clearly rationalize and resolve the real troubles behind Newtown’s shootings.
    This is rather disturbing.

    I used to think Ms. Hemmer was at least an intelligent, rational person who held different beliefs than I. But it is no pretty clear that she has gone off the deep end.

    Any informed person would know that Carter was not the "worst ever" (although he is down there) and Obama will not even be close. Your proclamation of these opinions makes it easy to dismiss you.

    Some news for you, the crazed negativity that you display constantly is what lost the election for the Repubs.

    The naming of person of the year has NOTHING to do with "America" or having a positive affect.

    I believe the friggin' Ayatollah was named person of the year back in the late 70's.

    The "Person of the Year" designation comes from an indivdual's notoriety, impact on the Nation/world in either a positive or negative way. In Time's words: "the man, woman, or idea that for better or worse, has most influenced events in the preceding year." "

    Obama got it in 2008 for the color of his skin (presuming he would heal the nation's devisiveness) and in 2012 for being the only modern era president to get re-elected "fiddling" while Rome burned.
