A New Year's Gift

Even though conservatives and Republicans may be upset at the results of the recent banana republic presidential elections (yes, folks - the number of votes in several precincts in Pennsylvania and Ohio outnumbered the residents living in said districts- and many areas went 100% for Obama (unheard of in an honest election). In addition, the "same day registration" and early voting allowed the cheaters to vote early and vote often. Here in Wisconsin we witnessed yet again chaos at many polling places (especially in Milwaukee and Racine), with bussed-in voters showing up to overwhelm poll workers, who had no chance of actually challenging whether or not many were voting in their own district - or state, for that matter. Banana republic? - you bet. Let's get Voter ID back and ensure honest elections!) - don't lose hope.
Now, for the New Years Gift. Look at the map above. From the New York Times. The red areas went for Romney, the blue for Obama. (Actually, in the future I would suggest using red to designate the Dems, since they embrace socialism/communism. It would be more appropriate to use "red" ala Mao's little red book and the color of the communist flag of China, to refer to them.)
So in viewing the map, realize that all hope for saving our country is not lost. Most of the U.S. is NOT in the tank for Obama, despite how the media wishes to portray the political landscape. Remember, this past election only saw Barry Hussein Obama win by a very small (3.9%) percentage of the popular vote. Obama won 26 states plus D.C. Romney won 24 states. Mandate? No way.
At least half the country (and I would venture to say more than half, since approximately 3 million Republicans chose to sit out this past election) wants nothing to do with Obama and his socialist agenda. That bodes well for the future. So despair not. Even though we are in for a rough ride these next four years - with a president who couldn't give a darn about the economy, unemployment, national security, the American dream, or other issues that presidents usually do care about - we will endure. Hopefully the House and the individual states will block most of the socialist wishes of the Dear Leader. Four years. Four long years. Four long years with an anti-American leader intent at destroying the foundation of the country. Scary times are ahead, but we will weather the storm.
Yes, the rebuilding after Obama finally vacates the White House will be difficult. However, America and Americans are very resilient. Maybe the "me-me-me" class, beholden to entitlements and dependency upon the government, will wake up out of their Obama stupor. Look at history. Socialism doesn't work. Communism doesn't work. Many countries have proven such. Capitalism and personal freedoms, with all their imperfections, is still the best route for a free country. To many of us, the U.S. Constitution still has meaning, even though Obama wants to crumble up that annoying piece of paper and toss it in the trash.
In four years, hopefully we will still be free. So, look at the map and think - wow - many Americans want nothing to do with Obama and his anti-American agenda! All is NOT lost!!!
What a positive way to start the New Year!

I agree with you on voting irregularities. What the republicans tried to pull in Florida with voter suppression and polling station manipulations was criminal in my opinion and must be investigated by federal officials.

East Armpit Alabama News didn't publish one?
jman99 - Dec 31, 2012 8:17 AM
Why was that?
What was so indigestible about Romney to them?
WFB resident - Dec 31, 2012 8:51 AM

third place as the worst Prtesidents ! lol...

And of course most of us do realize that the blue areas are concentrated around large urban areas - where we are more apt to find poverty and people who are dependent upon the government for their very lives. The same entitlement/me-me-me crowd that turned out in droves for Santabama - several times over (wink wink). The "ask what your country can do for you" crowd.
I sure wish the feds would investigate those many precints in Ohio and Pennsylvania that turned out 100% votes for Obama and nary a one for Romney. The same precints that saw more people turn out to vote than actually even live in those areas. (Hey, that happened in Milwaukee a few election cycles ago, too! Simply amazing!) That just does not happen in honest elections, but what happened in November was far from honest.
And I find it very telling that living in America, we need ID for just getting on in our daily lives - whether we want to rent a DVD, board a plane, ride a bus, get into a homeless shelter (yep, folks, I did a blog on this once - how Milwaukee homeless shelters require an ID to enter), buy over-the-counter cold medicine, take garbage to a dump, get a library card, buy booze, buy guns, buy cigarettes, drive a car, rent a hotel room, join the military, get a job, etc.
Yet, no ID in order to vote??? Think about how insane that sounds.

Land does not vote Hemmer. The Dems went out for people.
Farmers are subsidised in two ways: direct subsidies and import restrictions. Subsidy farming is a huge cash crop.
They are the biggest "takers" of all.
ahemmer - Dec 31, 2012 11:26 AM
Tsk tsk!

And at least farmers work, jman99. They work pretty darn hard - I'd venture to say that many people could not do the work of the farmer. Even if some of their work is subsidized for by the government, at least farmers aren't sitting home day after day watching Jerry Springer and getting paid by Uncle Sam for doing nothing except waiting for those checks to arrive in the mail or calling on their free cell phones to see where those darn checks are!!!

helped.

Where we are also more apt to find sucessfully employed people, banks, doctors, universities, museums, families, retail stores, radio stations, houses of worship, newspapers, dogs and cats. But when someone mentions "urban" we know what pops into yer mind.
"The same entitlement/me-me-me crowd that turned out in droves for Santabama - several times over (wink wink)."
Please dont wink at me.

How many of the exaggerations as well as the few legitimate things you mention
are actually civil liberties protected by the Constitution and The Bill of Rights.
BTW I recently visited the dump and wasn't asked for an ID.

MGarber: Sure, many cities have hospitals, businesses, etc. where "successful" people work. But "successful" people don't always live in the cities in which they work. A lot live in the suburban areas and/or rural. Ever notice all the traffic leaving Milwaukee at the end of the work day?
jman99 - Dec 31, 2012 1:33 PM
They should make their own jobs in those areas and not steal them from town folk.

Nice blog. Nice map. Nice points.
Did you consider how many of the food-stamp/entitlement crowd voted for Mr. Obama? I read that Obama added in the tune of 17-20 million more people to his food-stamp welfare program. I’m quite sure of myself when I say that the majority of those new additions voted for Obama. Had Mr. Obama instead tried to help those families by working on our economy and jobs, instead of Obamacare, he might have been reelected under better circumstances. But with a vast majority and a mandate to follow.
Those 47-50 million people and families on the Obama food-stamp program, plus the potential millions Obama and many Democrats keep trying to add, in no way help grow our economy or jobs. Worse than all that is what family values are instilled on a mom or dad who is handed all these freebies. None!
Those who do not help grow our jobs or add any real value to our economies made all the decision for those who do.
I hope you are right about this hope to save America. I’m loosing hope and fast
