New legislation on the way...
President Barack Obama and the Democrat-controlled Senate are considering sweeping legislation that will provide new benefits for many Americans.
The “AMERICANS WITH NO ABILITIES ACT” is being hailed as a major achievement goal by advocates of the millions of Americans who lack any real skills or ambitions.
"Roughly 50% of Americans do not possess the competence and drive necessary to carve out a meaningful role for themselves in society," said California Senator Barbara Boxer. “We can no longer stand by and allow people of inability (POI) to be ridiculed and passed over. With this legislation, employers will no longer be able to grant special favors to a small group of workers, simply because they have some idea of what they are doing.”
In a Capitol Hill press conference, Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid pointed to the success of the U.S. Postal Service, which has a long-standing policy of providing opportunity without regard to performance. Approximately 74 percent of postal employees lack any job skills, making this agency the single largest U.S. employer of Persons with No Abilities.
Private-sector industries with good records of non-discrimination against the inept include retail sales (72%), the airline industry (68%), and home-improvement warehouse stores (65%). At the state government level, the Department of Motor Vehicles also has an excellent record of hiring Persons with No Abilities (63%).
Under the Americans with No Abilities Act, more than 25 million mid-level positions will be created, with important-sounding titles but little real responsibility, thus providing an illusory sense of purpose and performance.
Mandatory non-performance-based raises and promotions will be given to guarantee upward mobility for even the most unremarkable employees. The legislation provides substantial tax breaks to corporations that promote a significant number of Persons of Inability (POI) into middle-management positions, and give a tax credit to small and medium-sized businesses that agree to hire one clueless worker for every two talented hires.
Finally, the Americans With No Abilities Act contains tough new measures to make it more difficult to discriminate against the non-abled, banning, for example, discriminatory interview questions such as, “Do you have any experience that relates to this job?”
"As a non-abled person, I can't be expected to keep up with people who have something going for them,” said Mary Lou Gertz, who lost her position as a lug-nut twister at the GM plant in Flint, Michigan, due to her inability to remember righty tighty, lefty loosey. “This new law should be real good for people like me. I’ll finally have job security.” With the passage of this bill, Gertz and millions of other untalented citizens will finally see a light at the end of the tunnel.
Said Democrat Senator Dick Durbin: "As a senator with no abilities, I believe the same privileges that elected officials enjoy ought to be extended to every American with no abilities. It is our duty as lawmakers to provide each and every American citizen, regardless of his or her inadequacy, with some sort of space to take up in this great nation and a good salary for doing so."

Thanks to my cousin - a Milwaukee Policeman who wishes to remain anonymous - for providing this hilarious spoof...although given what is going on in Washington D.C. these days with the little man-child still in charge, legislation such as this may not be a farfetched as it first appears. After all, Americans are repeatedly being told we need to "level the playing field" (aka: tax, tax, tax) and "spread the wealth" (aka: tax, tax, tax)... This legislation, as silly as it is, could be something that Obama and the Dems might consider! Stranger things have been known to happen...

For the real info. on government spending, check out: http://www.heritage.org/federalbudget/budget-entitlement-programs?gclid=cn6z24ebylqcfahqogod7z4ayq for this recent year.
Entitlement programs are 62% of government spending.
I knew your link was a joke, jman99, as soon as I saw the "military spending" as the largest portion of the budget. Hee hee! Maybe you were providing some laughs to go along with my blog?
And GWB: too funny!!! Out of everything in the blog, you chose to pick on the fact that my cousin is a Milwaukee Policeman? I'd say that the majority of police in the Milwaukee department are good, upstanding officers. Too bad you feel the need to trash them, for whatever reason one can only ponder...
It is also interesting to check out most "corrupt police forces" and most "corrupt cities" in the U.S. Guess which city is frequently mentioned? Chicago! Home to our own politically-corrupt, socialist president and his gang of thugs! Ah, Chi-town!!!
Sorry, I know this is fun, but I'm out of here to watch the Rose Bowl. Go Badgers!

I think the joke might be your reading comprehension. He said *discretionary* spending. If you dont understand the difference between his chart and yours (I have no reason to think either are inaccurate), we'd need a whole nuther forum to "school" you.
As far as your “AMERICANS WITH NO ABILITIES ACT”, it was done much better nearly 50 years ago by Kurt Vonnegut: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harrison_Bergeron.
In actuality it has nothing to do with Obama, but rather with our culture that no longer appreciates logic, reason, and education. From Honey BooBoo to Sarah Palin many of us LIKE and CELEBRATE people who cant "remember righty tighty, lefty loosey". Or, for that matter, know the difference between those 2 charts.

Well if you have a left hand thread, the opposite is true.
There are many instances where left hand threads are used, especially when tightening a rotating mass that you don't want to come loose.
You guys some times act like you're experts and yet you have not a clue.
For heaven's sake, stick to your day job.

Ryan and Johnson voted to save the American taxpayer giant hikes in tax rates if we went over the so-called fiscal cliff. The unemployment bennies (how many years now can Americans sit on their butts at home and get paid to do nothing??? Is it three? four? All a part of the O's master plan. Total government reliance and keep those unemployment numbers high!!! More dependency! More future Dem votes! Yipee!!!) were a side note to the overall goal of keeping tax rates where they are. However, don't forget, even with the temporary avoidance of the fiscal cliff, taxpayers will see more taken out of their paychecks starting this year - Obamacare is looming, due to take big chunks out of everyones pay AND the social security payroll tax reduction was allowed to expire. Uncle Sam is digging into every taxpayers pockets more and more - also a real achievement for Obama and the Dems. Hopefully the "low information voter" may figure this out before the next election cycle and vote to stop it, but then again, so many people are reliant now on Santabama and don't seem to mind doing nothing and getting $$$.
And now, even though Obama and the Dems are touting a "victory," regarding the cliff deal, the Republicans are now in the drivers seat when it comes to addressing spending cuts. The bargaining chip of tax hikes is off the table for the lefties, and now they really do have to address their out-of-control spending like responsible adults. Obama and the Dems WILL be accountable for the fiscal future of America.

And face it, GWB, the way Obama and the Dems (with the help of the media, of course) played this one, Republicans would have been blamed for a fiscal disaster no matter what happened. If we went over the cliff or not. If we raised taxes or not. Obama is a master manipulator, with the media doing his bidding and not telling the whole story.
And I do give credit to the Republicans who voted "no" for this bill, like Sensenbrenner and others. (Hopefully in the future, John Boerner will be sent packing out of the House. He has done a terrible job as Speaker - not standing up for spending cuts AND tax cuts - and willing to cave to Obama at every whim.)

Very likely that they are however with Barrett massaging the numbers he gives to the FBI, we may never know.

Expect them to hold Obama to his promise of a "balanced approach" to solving the fiscal woes of the US. He just got his tax hike - will he deliver on his budget cuts?
Obama has 90 days to maintain his status quo of fiddling while Rome burns until he comes back to congress with his hand out begging for a higher debt ceiling because he lacks the courage to cut one cent from his bloated budget. Wonder what vacation he will have to cut short then to make his dramatic "self sacrifice" in front of the media to shoot down the responsible budget proposal that Ryan will champion this Spring.

Wonder how much all that jetting back-and-forth (and the missus travels on her own, too) is costing us all? As long as Barry is havin' fun, that's all that matters! After all, he is just soooo COOL! Egads.
And to think millions of idiots were fooled into voting this narcisstic arrogant little man-child into office again!
Does anyone out there know that Obama had an executive order inserted into to the bill giving pay raises to the likes of Biden and other public employees to the tune of $11 billion dollars over the next 10 years? However, the House DID block it!
From The Blaze: “Unbelievably, in the middle of talks this week on tax rates and sequestration revision, in the midst of high deficits and a growing national debt, the president has proposed pay increases for members of Congress,” Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick (R-Pa.) summarized. “I have to say that nobody in this town saw this coming, and very few think it is warranted.”
Thank goodness. Although, I have to wonder why the media didn't seem to mention anything about Obama's executive order giving out raises at a time when the country is in fiscal straights? And don't most employees supposedly get raises when they are doing a GOOD job???

Im surprised that you're surprised; they dont seem to care that he's (pick one from each of the 5 catagories): http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2012/10/chart-obama-conspiracy-theories.
Each has as much basis as any of your claims.
