Catching Pigs
CATCHING PIGS
There was a chemistry professor in a large college that had some exchange students in the class.
One day while the class was in the lab, the professor noticed one young man, an exchange student, who kept rubbing his back and stretching as if his back hurt.
The professor asked the young man what was the matter.
The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back.
He had been shot while fighting communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country's government and install a new communist regime.
In the midst of his story, he looked at the professor and asked a strange question.
He asked: "Do you know how to catch wild pigs?"
The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line.
The young man said that it was no joke.
"You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground.
The pigs find it and begin to come every day to eat the free corn. When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming. When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence.
They get used to that and start to eat again. You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side. The pigs, which are used to the free corn, start to come
through the gate to eat that free corn again. You then slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd.
Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom.
They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught.
Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity."
The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening in America .
The government keeps pushing us toward Communism/Socialism and keeps spreading the
free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, tax exemptions, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare, medicine, drugs, etc., while we continually lose our freedoms, just a little at a time.
One should always remember two truths:
There is no such thing as a free lunch, and you can never hire someone to provide a service for you cheaper than you can do it yourself.
If you see that all of this wonderful government "help" is a problem confronting the future of democracy in America, you might want to send this story on to your friends.
If you think the free ride is essential to your way of life, then you will probably not want to share this story with others.
BUT, God help us all when the gate slams shut!
Quote for today:
"The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living are now outnumbered by those who vote for a living."

I would love to see the rest of that sentence from you garber ! I have hired
people lately for I am getting lazy and am willing to allow the work to be done by
others now ! Yet everytime I allow some other person to do these jobs . I am
reaffirmed every time that they do not do as good of a job as I do ! That may be
why PDLS's think the goverment does better than themselves . PDLS's like garbers
comment above let us know that his mentallity has allowed the fence to be built
already . Garber do not shut the gate ! Start dismantling that mental fence you are
burdened with !!!! not a joke !

Hey; YOU'RE the lazy one that hires incompetent people.
I just take the moment to figure out if there's someone else that can do the job better, who they are, and if the job is worth what they're charging.

Repugnican let's start there.

talking for that is all you guys do ! I agree p4p !!! Lets start cutting the pensions to
retired teachers first though !!! As one teacher told me , "Your pension is social
security !!!" So I say they need no pension for they have social security !! lol...

Madisonville, Ohio admitted to Cincinnati’s WCPO-TV earlier this month that she
mailed in an absentee ballot, but also cast her vote at the polls because she feared it
wouldn’t be counted. She said she did it to “fight” for “Mr. Obama’s right to sit as
president of the United States.” Even with her admitting fraud ,you PDLS's say it
does not happen !!! lol... you guys are just deniers ,that is all !!!

http://www.forbes.com/sites/markhendrickson/2012/06/07/are-the-10-poorest-u-s-states-really-republican/
A small blurb:
"The most fundamental difference between the data that conservatives prefer—that the 10 poorest cities are longtime Democratic strongholds—and the data that liberals will be more inclined to cite—that the 10 poorest states are predominantly Republican, is that conservatives can point to actual policies that Democrats implemented that contributed to the impoverishment of the cities, while the liberals cannot point to specific GOP policies that have caused the poorer states to lag behind."
The line you are promoting, P4P, is does not take into consideration the facts. One of which is: that many of the poorest states are poor due to policies from the Dems, not the Republicans.

Heres a non-partisan tax foundation report that works directly with the CBO office:
Top Ten States Receiving Federal Welfare (Source: Tax Foundation):
1. New Mexico Indian reservations, military bases, federal research labs, farm subsidies, retirement programs
2. Mississippi Farm subsidies, military spending, nutrition and anti-poverty aid, retirement programs.
3. Alaska Per capita No 1 recipient of federal benefits; infrastructure projects, DOT and pork projects.
4. Louisiana Disaster relief, farm subsidies, anti-poverty and nutrition aid, military spending.
5. W. Virginia Farm subsidies, anti-poverty and nutrition aid.
6. N. Dakota Farm subsidies, energy subsidies, retirement and anti-poverty programs, Indian reservations.
7. Alabama Retirement programs, anti-poverty and nutrition aid, federal space/military spending, farm subsidies.
8. S. Dakota Retirement programs, nutrition aid, farm subsidies, military spending, Indian reservations.
9. Virginia Civil service pensions, military spending, veterans benefits, retirement, anti-poverty aid.
10. Kentucky Retirement programs, nutritional and anti-poverty aid, farm subsidies.
Now consider the bottom 10, i.e., the ones that give more to the federal government in taxes than they get in return. From 1 to 10, they are:
New Jersey, Nevada, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Minnesota, Illinois, Delaware, California, New York, Colorado.
Nice try Amy you lose again... LOL

you did not prove Hemmer wrong , and you were not able to refute what she
pointed out ! Maybe you should start looking deeper in to stories and polls to figure
out what they really mean before you jump to your usual PDLS conclusions !!! lol...

P4P: I knew you wouldn't be able to understand the Forbes article. It just makes too much sense - hard for a liberal to grasp. Many of the poorest states are poor due to being run by Democrats. In addition, look at California (can any state be any bluer?) and Illinois (another big blue state). Both are out of money. Bankrupt. Who is going to bail them out?
Ignore the Forbes article, simply because either you cannot grasp the facts presented that fly in the face of your BS, or that you don't want to understand.
(And by the way, Mr. Intelligent, it's "coincide," not "co-inside." LOL).

Notice all things were listed by you, and you consider them as negative. I consider it using our taxes for helping our citizens and country......
Too bad Democractic States care more about votes than helping those in need.
Left wing states only care about the votes they can scam.

It is not poured down the hole as the Democatic states do. That is why most of the states at the bottom, are run by Democrats, and are in deep fiscal trouble.
Note: Using per capita, New york comes in #7 not in the bottom 10.

argued as run incorrectly by you repubs... The argument on which states are run better is
not being questioned here and your opinion that repubs are running states better is an
opinion.... Scott Walker is one of the worst job creators in all of the US but you
repugnicans love him.... So as Queen Amy of LIV says stay on the topic... Your RED
states don't just take the most they give the least that's the fact

first large city asking for chapter 11 protection . So do you know what political view
as a whole that city holds ? Do you as a self proclaimed but proven not to be
informed voter know why those republican places have that particular assistance ?
lol ... I just love how your study is so narrow viewed and how it really corolates to
what actually is happening ! So since North dakota is such a Republican strong hold it
is which number on your list ? Wisconsin is ranked as firstr in the country when it
pertains to its credit wortthyness ! Texas holds on strong yet you still see Cali as a
great place for families ? lol... Ill,? New York ? If you have not noticed N> Dakota is
doing the best in the country ! But not because of your fred help !!!???? Do you even
know this ? Like always p for p you still are uninformed !! lol...
