Can you predict the outcome of this?
They say a picture is worth a thousand words - or perhaps "trillions:"

Just look at the National Debt. Scary times are here, and things are getting even worse.
In "anticipation" of the sequester (which is little more than slowing down spending for less than 30 days - and doesn't consist of any "cuts" at all), we have a reckless president putting the country in danger - only to help achieve his political goals of spend, spend, spend.
From beforeitsnews.com:
"The Department of Homeland Security has started releasing hundreds of illegal immigrants held in local jails in anticipation of automatic budget cuts, in a move one Arizona sheriff called politically motivated — and dangerous.
Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu said Tuesday that Immigration and Customs Enforcement released more than 500 detainees in his county alone over the weekend. A spokesman for Babeu told FoxNews.com that ICE officials have said they plan to release a total of nearly 10,000 illegal immigrants.
Babeu described the move as a “mass budget pardon” and suggested the administration was going to unnecessary lengths to demonstrate the impact of the so-called sequester.
“President Obama would never release 500 criminal illegals to the streets of his hometown, yet he has no problem with releasing them in Arizona. The safety of the public is threatened and the rule of law discarded as a political tactic in this sequester battle,” he said. – Fox News
IN "ANTICIPATION" OF BUDGET CUTS???
Give me a break. This is Obama - following the Chicago playbook for creating chaos and panic. Stirring up the masses because most Americans don't appear too concerned about the "sequester" and aren't listening to Obama's doom-and-gloom campaign message about such.
We've heard it all before.
Obama cries wolf - the media plays it up - people panic - and in the end, Obama gets what he wants. This time his M.O. regarding a tiny slow-down in spending doesn't appear to be working, so he had to do something drastic - and dangerous.
People, this is NOT the type of action of a president. What Obama is doing is NOT in the best interest of the United States - it is the polar opposite. Releasing dangerous - and illegal - prisoners into the country to make a point about how "dangerous" the sequestration will be has gone way too far - even for The One. This president is putting people's lives at risk for nothing more than political gain. (And the ironic part of all of this is that in 2011, Obama vowed to enforce "sequestration!" See: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=kj1y3q92sog)
Already the White House is spinning this reckless and deadly prisoner release with the "we didn't know" reaction they used with Benghazi. "We didn't know it was a terrorist attack" (except we really did - right away - and we lied to the American people for weeks for political gain.) The same is happening right now.
Think the media will give this major story - which could and should lead to impeachment proceedings against Obama - the time of day? Don't hold your breath. I can only imagine the "freakouts" now occuring in newsrooms across the country on how to help the president survive this one....and sadly, Obama probably will.

Article 1 section 8 per chance?:
The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;
The Presidents Power in the case of the sequester is to "approve legislation"
Who's not doing their job? Repugnicans.... Even with a "Low information" understanding of government you should realize the sequester was a product of the Republican congress incompetence. Your party can't agree with itself (remember plan B?) let alone the other branches of government, let alone the President with a high approval rating.
You're dreaming if you think anyone will buy the Republicans didn't cause the sequester.... They created it. LOL

If there's a way to monitor these people for less than the ridiculous amount that it costs to hold them in detention, great. We're spending far too much to lock people up. If the monitoring keeps them from getting jobs, maybe they'll even self-deport like Romney was saying. Isn't that what you want?
If you can provide evidence of a single violent offender being released, I will be more sympathetic to your position. However, it looks like histrionics from here.

"NEW YORK -- The Obama administration plans to order companies that have received exceptionally large amounts of bailout money from the government to slash compensation for their highest-paid executives by about half on average, according to people familiar with the long-awaited decision."
"Feb 27,2013.. (Reuters) - General Motors Co gave Chief Executive Dan Akerson an $11.1 million pay package last year, a GM official familiar with the matter said on Wednesday, after the CEO's salary came under scrutiny this week."
The empty suit sxcams taxpayers again..............

But I suppose all you want to point out is the last few years of the graph so you can blame Obama, you probably believe all the debt increase from the last few years is the fault of liberals. I'm sure you would deny that ANY of the debt increase under the current president had anything to do with revenue and or spending policies put in place by the guy you voted for before he took office.

In modern history, Ronald Reagan oversaw the largest number of debt ceiling increases, and George W. Bush approved a near doubling of the borrowing cap during his two terms in office.

“Spokeswoman Gillian Christensen said ICE had directed field offices to make sure the "detained population" is "in line with available funding." She stressed that ICE would continue to prosecute the cases while keeping them under supervision. "Over the last week, ICE has reviewed several hundred cases and placed these individuals on methods of supervision less costly than detention," she said. "All of these individuals remain in removal proceedings. Priority for detention remains on serious criminal offenders and other individuals who pose a significant threat to public safety."

OK ? I thought you wanted all people to be equal in the USA ?
patriot4progress - Feb 28, 2013 1:47 AM
Obama not connecting Bangazi to an act of terror
Obama letting immigrants go
The president putting lives at risk. He didn't sign an order or direct ICE to let the
immigrants go and the immigrants that were let go have never committed a crime
other than the immigration law broken... Hardly the hardened criminals in Amy's
head.
The cuts that are being made fall under the legislative branch of government
meaning the repugnican lead congress not the executive branch. These cuts were
the sole design of congress and have to happen because republicans can't even
work together let alone with the senate and president as we have seen time after
time.
The funniest part of Amy's argument is her own chart that clearly shows spending
coming down after having to dig out from the high point of the Bush recession.
Obama has reduced deficit spending more than any republican president in the last
50 years
WFB resident - Feb 28, 2013 7:13 AM
control oil prices ! sound familliar ? deficit spending has not gone down even 1 year
!!!

"Your chart as far as raw dollar amounts means little without an adjustment for inflation."
And charted against the GDP.

Obama's baseline budget mentallity is no way to run a country or a business. The sequester decrease in the increase in spending is no big deal and Obama's childish ploy will backfire on him.

The country needs a steady hand at the helm, not a pants-wetter.

“Former U.S. president George W. Bush accidentally voted for Barack Obama today at a polling place near his Crawford, TX home. According to local reports, the two-term Republican was confused by the instructions on his electronic voting machine and mistakenly cast a ballot he intended to discard.”
