Yep, the Narcissist-In-Chief has done it again. The respected and beloved leader of South Africa - Nelson Mandela - has passed away. He was 95 years old.. Now, our own President Barry Obama - rather than tout all of Mandela's triumphs, struggles, and character, saw fit to speak - about himself. See: http://www.examiner.com/article/obama-uses-mandela-s-death-to-enhance-himself-deflect-from-obamacare and http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/12/06/rush-limbaugh-mandela-obama_n_4400650.html
Even the White House released a picture of Obama in Nelson Mandela's old cell in South Africa to commemorate the deceased Mandela. See http://www.examiner.com/article/white-house-marks-death-of-nelson-mandela-with-picture-of-obama. No photo of Mandela. Just Obama - "posing for the ages".
Obama and Mandela...so similar...or not. Did Obama spend 27 years in a prison cell? No. But to listen to the lefties and the media we'd have to believe that Mandela and Obama had the same "struggles" growing up to achieve what they have. In what alternative universe is that a reality? When all is said and done about this great leader passing, Rush Limbaugh said it best - the leftie media will have us all believing that Barry Obama - like Mandela - spent 27 years suffering behind prison bars! What "struggle" did Obama face growing up? Where to get his next buy of pot or cocaine? How to get into a university without having the grades? How to get off the bench when playing basketball? Just WHAT was Obama's "struggle" compared to Mandela's? And how did Obama "suffer" from the oppression of the United States? You know, Obama always seems to put forth the image that he was somehow "wronged" by the very country he has been elected to represent.
Yet, as we all have become accustomed to, the United States of America has had Obama morph into various figures of history based on the historic events of the day. Remember during the presidential campaign, people were referring to Obama as "The One?" or "The Messiah?" Why, photojournalists even got really cute, photographing Obama with what appears to be a halo around his head. Remember:
We are the ones we've been waiting for!!! (Does anyone else feel like puking besides me?).
And then of course we had Obama as Lincoln. Obama was considered by many lefties to be "Lincolnesque." Nothing could be further from the truth. A recent letter to the editor in the Milwaukee/Journal Sentinel hit the nail on the head:
"Some people were critical of President Barack Obama for not attending the ceremony marking Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address. I was not. Any linking of these two presidents is inappropriate. Lincoln was a Republican; Obama hates Republicans. Lincoln was selfless and humble; Obama is a strutting egotist. Lincoln sought to bring the nation together after the devastating Civil War; Obama intentionally divides the nation to further his radical agenda. Lincoln's speeches were brief and eloquent; Obama's teleprompter-aided speeches are rambling and incoherent.
Lincoln, perhaps our greatest president, was dedicatedly honest with the people, while Obama is an embarrassment and a serial liar." - Ted Torcivia/Brookfield
And who can forget when Obama became Trayvon Martin's daddy? The Narcissist-In-Chief again had to insert himself where he did not belong and make the Martin/Zimmerman debacle about himself. Aw, shucks - Obama could have had a son that looked just like Trayvon!!! Let's throw an impartial jury aside so Obama can throw his own prejudices into the mix! What president has ever acted, spoken, or behaved in such manner??? None other than The One.
Moving on, remember when President Obama took out Osama bin Laden? Who can forget Obama's stirring speech in which he rambled on and on about how "HE" took out Osama? How "HE" gave the orders? (How "HE" neglected to mention the Navy Seals who actually carried out the orders!!!) By all accounts, when Obama spiked the football after bin Laden's demise, you would have thought Obama charged in with the AK-47 (I know, lefties have to shudder at the very thoughts of an AK-47) to blast the terrorist thug to high heaven himself...
And now we have The One/The Messiah/Lincoln/Martin Daddy/Navy Seal channeling his inner Nelson Mandela. This self-centered egomaniac could not make a brief speech without using the "me" and "I" pronouns he is so fond of. (Try counting the "me's" and "I's" sometime when Obama speaks - it's kind of fun- and disgusting.)
Rush Limbaugh made an excellent point on his conservative radio talk show. He mentioned that Mandela and Obama really have very little in common. Mandela actually has a lot more in common with Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. (Yes, the Clarence Thomas that lefties really hate). From: http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/dec/6/limbaugh-obama-trying-make-mandela-death-about-him/
"At one point during the show, Mr. Limbaugh said Mr. Mandela actually had more in common with Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas than President Obama.
“Nelson Mandela, even prior to becoming president, but certainly after he became president of South Africa, insisted on compliance with his country’s constitution,” he said. “He insisted on it. Obama looks at the U.S. Constitution as an obstacle and makes end-runs around it every day, practically. …
“These are the kind of things, by the way, I love saying, because this just ticks the left off, ‘cause they hate Clarence Thomas,” Mr. Limbaugh said. “Mandela had much more in common with Clarence Thomas, and a lot of conservatives, than he has with Obama, but the left doesn’t care.”
As a side note, Obama is one of the luckiest politicians alive. Whenever Obama appears to be floundering, getting in deep trouble, looking like a total idiot, losing votes, losing fans, etc., something happens to divert attention. Look at what happened before the election in 2012 - Obama had Benghazi - and we all heard about how it was because of "a video" (a lie, but it helped placate the idiot voters among us). Obama had a tanking economy and then - shazaam! - the unemployment number magically dipped below 8% (it has been discovered that the "books were cooked" to achieve this number). Obama had a hurricane hit (Sandy)- and New Jersey RINO Chris Christie for some reason fawned and slobbered all over an appearance by The One, much to the chagrin of many Republicans and Mitt Romney. Smoke and mirrors. Obama's M.O. and saving grace.
However, I don't believe the Mandela death and subsequent phony comparisons to Obama will erase the Obamacare mess the country is experiencing. Maybe for a few days, yes. But the socialist take over of medicine has been pathetic, unorganized, and in general a disaster. The Mandela funeral gives The One and the the Missus a brief "out" - a vacation from the chaos - as they are going to South Africa for the Mandela funeral (even though they haven't been invited yet). Remember, this is the same Obama who couldn't be bothered to attend former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher's funeral and didn't even send any representatives to the funeral of a true friend of the United States. The mainstream media will do their best to portray Obama and Mandela as twin brothers separated at birth, but I don't think it will play well with the majority of Americans.
In conclusion, Nelson Mandela and Barack Obama really have very little in common. Mandela believed in doing what is best for the people. Mandela believed in bringing people together. Mandela paid the ultimate price by doing prison time for his beliefs - and came out stronger and more diplomatic than ever. What has Barry Obama EVER done that resembles anything similar to Nelson Mandela?
Where Mandela was a uniter, Obama is a divider. Where Mandela wanted to work together, Obama hates anyone who disagrees with his socialist views. Where Mandela wanted to build a strong country, Obama wants to tear America down. Ah but yes, both won a Nobel Peace Prize.
