Bybee Issue a Two-fer for Democrats

John Podesta, head of the lefty think tank, Center for American Progress,  sent House Judiciary Committee Chair John Conyers (D-Mich.), letters calling for the impeachment of Jay Bybee.  Bybee is a federal judge and former Bush administration official who wrote an opinion that the enhanced interrogation techniques used  on the 9/11 and other terrorist suspects was acceptable within the confines of US law,

Podesta makes the specious argument  that Rybee "issued opinions that violate the Constitution and concealed relevant aspects of his legal views and professional conduct from the Senate, Bybee has neither the legal nor moral authority to sit in judgment of others." 

Since when is it incumbent on Judicial Candidates to preemptively decide how they will rule on everything put before them and tell the Senate about it? Judges are supposed to evaluate the evidence and facts put before them and make their decisions based on legal merit not political expedience. 

Move On.org, the George Soros funded left wing smear machine is also running television ads encouraging people to contact their representatives and encourage them to impeach Bybee.

The truth about the left's call to impeach Bybee is much more insidious than a simple legal ruling that is an anathema to their appeasement policies. The left has proven themselves much more adept at using the courts to force their agenda forward while circumventing the will of the people as expressed through their elected representatives.  The right continues to fail to grasp the importance of judicial appointments, naively preferring to focus their energies on legislative solutions.

These CIA memos provide a two-fer that any leftie should be giddy over. Not only does it provide them with the opportunity to come in after September 11 and shoot the wounded; an impeachment, if successful, will create a vacant federal judgeship that Obama can fill with another far left leaning jurist who believes in legislating from the bench.
