News, Information and Ideas on how to deal with hearing loss in a hearing world. Plus a few other topics!
September Hearing Loss Group Meeting
For those of you interested, our next meeting is on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2009. It will be held at the Wales Community Center located at 216 W. South St. in Wales, WI. Start time is 6:30pm.
Our speaker this month is Pam Bergum from the Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in West Allis, WI. The topic will be lipreading/speechreading. Pam has been an instructor at CDHH for over 20 years and has lots of tips and techniques to share. For those of you that need a little more help on perfecting this additional form of communication, the meeting should help you to achieve some of your goals!
There is no charge to attend our meetings. You don't have to be a member of HLAA to participate. Family and friends are also invited to attend.
We will also have CART at the meeting. This enables those that have trouble hearing to read the conversation as it takes place in 'real time'.
If you have any questions, please contact me at tamiklink@gmail.com and I'll be happy to help you out!
Have a great week!
