As much as I hate to see more regulations put into effect no matter where the Country is, in this case it is probably warranted. In the last few years, we've heard of too many people at a younger age being diagnosed with hearing loss. The number one cause is NOISE!
For those of you that don't know how loud 80 decibels is, here's the copy of my Audiogram/Speech Banana with pics of how loud some things in life are.

I understand exactly what you are saying. I had a friend, now deceased, who had a powerful stereo system that produced somewhere around 500 watts per channel. Every time I visited him and we listened to his stereo, it had to be at “concert experience” level. Sitting next to each other, we had to yell to talk. If I asked him to turn it down, he would get mad and then turn it down to a barely audible level. When I left his house, my ears felt like they were stuffed with cotton.
I was visiting with another friend in Whitewater recently and we were sitting in his screened in porch. He asked if I could hear the crickets, but all I could hear is the ringing in my ears.
As a member of the North American Fishing Club I can get a 30% discount from a company called Hear PO its parent company is called Amplifon. I was just wondering if you have heard anything about either company.
It is always a pleasure conversing with you. Have a great day.

Sorry to hear of the Tinnitus. I too have that. Nothing like going through life with your own version of rhythmic sounds in your ears that are only heard by you. Let me know if you need more info on it. It's finally being recognized by medical docs as a 'condition'. I guess that they just thought we were making it all up! :)
