If you are for this, please take the time to contact your representative/congressperson. Without all of us letting all of them know how strongly we feel about getting the insurance benefit we have all been paying for all of these years, it will just get swept under the rug. Insurance companies (most of them) call hearing aids a cosmetic device. That's how they get out of having to pay for them. We all know that they are more than a way for us to be cosmetically enhanced! Get rid of the unfair terminology and do the right thing!
The only problem is that the AARP is involved (spokesperson) and since they are really one big Insurance Company, I'm not sure if we should really be listening to their take on things. After all, didn't they help to get the Medicare Advantage Insurance plan passed? You know, the one that also has the Medicare donut hole in it for the drugs part? And, they say they are an advocate for Seniors...
Have a great week!
