Tami: You are much too hard on AARP, after all they have to find some way to pay for those weekly letters we get in the mail from them touting some new insurance plan. ;-)

Ref - I know. This makes me so irritated to see an organization that publicly advertises itself as a Senior Advocacy group. To make money via their royalties agreement with Hears USA and also get $65 for every Hearing aid that Hears USA sells (Siemens brands only) is a travesty. How do they keep their non-profit status? Where is the implementation of our so called tax rules on this? And, they are now 'rolling' out their latest insurance program. It covers hearing aids only at Hears USA. The catch? You pay for the insurance and end up paying more for the hearing aid. At least in some markets that I have heard from readers on. The insurance pays $1,000 directly to Hears USA. Sounds like a bunch of smoke and mirrors to me...
Have a great week!
