I have a background in science and writing. I consider myself liberal, progressive, environmentally aware on many issues, but also believe that conservatism has a place and is valid.
My Personal Philosophy
I have my own philosophy, cannibalized from religions, politics, philosophies, science, art, history, and my life experiences, all of which are filtered through the 3 lb jelly constancy universe that is my brain. My experiences and my mental hardware helped to shape this philosophy; this philosophy changes and grows it is not a static concept and I am more than willing to change it if I realize my folly. My personal philosophy is a virtual structure, rigid in some parts but fluid in others. Here is some of what I cherish and acts as my guide:
- All Humans Beings from every nation, every race, every religion, are equal and are born with intrinsic rights. I don’t care where people think the rights come from.
- Everybody deserves a second chance after they make a mistake
- Nobody should force their lifestyle on others
- Government is a “tool”, it is a mechanism, it is nether good or bad
- The fool or jester is wise, ignore their advice at your own peril
- Study the lessons of History
- Politics is no excuse to ignore rules of common courtesy
- “Do unto others as you would do unto yourself” or “Prepare to be treated by me on how you treat me”. I realize it is a 2 way street.
- My dog Thor thinks he is a “people”
- Do not forsake your time “alive” on earth for ethereal non-material prizes
- Deep-sixing your “idealism” is a ticket to cynicism.
- Reality is not a fixed concept, because perception precedes it!
- Truth? At least try to back it up.
- Love your family and friends
- Don’t waste your time hating others
- Don’t call others victims while you consider yourself the “victim”
- Not everybody’s situation is the same
- Fight for what you believe in
- Laugh at yourself
- Perfection is an ideal but not a “rule”
- Government and Corporations are big and imperfect
- Ironies, especially when they happen to you, should be cherished
- No philosophy, religion, government, person has all the answers
- We know nothing, the vastness of the universe from where ever it came from dwarf’s us all
- Clutch is the greatest band on the planet
- People are animals
- Never give up
- The earth is our only home at the moment, try to give it a little respect while it lets us live on it
- The “little guy” always has it worse than the “big guys” above him.
- Don’t blame other’s for your short comings
- ….more to added later!
So what are some of your philosophies?

Well except a few here...
"Clutch is the greatest band on the planet"
i have no clue who they are.
" Everybody deserves a second chance after they make a mistake" This would depend on what the mistake was since to me certain mistakes cannot be forgiven
" Government and Corporations are big and imperfect" and due to greed incredibly corrupt.

Man, even giving you RW an outlet to express your own philisophy in a non-politicaly charged outlet for a moment and the only thing you can do is make a snarky comment.
Well, I guess we should all be glad that you include fruit in your diet.

An honest day's work for an honest day's pay.
In small business, wave to them on the way up, because the majority of the time you will see them on the way back down.
Honor your commitments / stick to your word.
Personal and business relationships always involve a "give and take"; people who only "take" are a drag to be around.
There is more to life than amassing "cash and prizes".
A sincere "thank you" goes a long ways.
Try not to burn any bridges; you never know if you will have to go down that same road again.
People that constantly "pi$$ and moan" all the time... suck.
Life is too short to drink cheap beer/booze.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers are the greatest band ever, just edging out The Ramones.

Have whatever philosophy you want, I mock a bit because you and jmark, and cd and pc--you all live in self imposed blindness and in a ridiculous dream-world of peace, love and rainbows rather than reality.
If you're really that interested in my beliefs: its based on God believin', honest livin', hard workin', fingers bleedin', steak eatin', a--kickin', big stick holdin', name takin', "USA" chantin', commie/terrorist hatin' values. I am America!!! Any questions!!!
Can't wait for those "non-politically charged" responses. Bet that's NOT the responses I get--But, the question is, will you stand behind your invitation for open-communication and support my views? Ball's in your court!!! Your word and possible hypocracy on the line!!!

For myself, I would say:
- Love Jesus like your life depends on it.
- Don't apologize for being honest.
- When God closes a door, He opens a window
- Hate the sin, love the sinner
- Forgiveness is key to a peaceful soul
- My cat, Edward is definitely a "people"
- My daughter is a true gift from God, everyday.
- Friends are God's way of holding your hand.
- Money doesn't matter, its the actions that count.
and my favorite of all :
We don't have to see eye to eye, to walk hand in hand.

I'll stand by that I said this as well,"Man, even giving you RW an -----outlet to express your own philisophy in a non-politicaly charged outlet ----- for a moment and the only thing you can do is make a snarky comment."
What I said and how you twsited it are 2 very different things.
It's a free forum and I control nothing other than starting a blog topic and having the ability to edit it and respond. If someone wants to debate your views I have no power over it.
So in the spirit of open forum attepemting not to be polticaly charged, Please explain your personal philosophy in more detail?

Anything free is worth saving up for.
Arrogance and Ignorance go hand in hand.
Measure twice cut once. Look before you leap. Engage your mind before your mouth. Give to get.
@ aj " I am America!!! Any questions!!!" ...Is that your first name? Is that what the A before the J stands for ?

I, too, really have no favorite. Rock from Aerosmith to Zappa, classical, jazz, country (old school; Waylon, Willie, Johnny) religious, it depends on my mood. I have stacks and stacks of vinyl (yeah, I got rid of all the old 8-track tapes and deck because Tammy said 'pitch them', should have kept them). I see vinyl is making a comeback (woohoo!). My next door neighbor has a collection that dwarfs mine... old school RULES!
