Shove the Healthcare Bill down the Throats of the Republicans
This is some advice and a call to action for Obama, Democrats, and anybody who wants reform of the Private Insurance Industry.
The extreme rightwing who have basically taken over the Republican Party will and have shown “No Quarter” and will never ever be able to be brought to any form of sane or reasonable deal.
They do not want “Bi-partisanship” they do no want, “Compromise” and they have no respect for a “non-conservative point of view”.
The rightwing is at “War” and against anybody who does not agree with their stance, they say people who don’t agree with them are destroying this country and hint at the use of violence on almost a daily basis.
So, Democratically controlled Congress and Obama here is some advice,
“Shove the Healthcare bill down the Throats of Tea Baggers and Republicans”
The Republicans shoved legislation down your throat for the 8 years Bush was president and because the tea baggers and rightwing would have no qualms about doing the same, you can’t compromise with militant Christian extremists who hate you just for being left of far right.
No Regret, No Remorse, No Quarter.

Obama needs to live up to his campain promises and then he might get more support.

I do agree with no quarter for the right wing though. Why show mercy to those who give none in return.

Most everyone, regardless of their party ideologies, want health care reform. We just want it done honestly, fairly, and in a way that will not bankrupt our country. Obama and the democrats have unarguably been trying to "shove this down" all our throats, yours included, through dishonesty, corruption, and will bankrupt the US. That is why America is rising. The Bay State and other Eastern elections are just the beginning.

Democrats have majorities in both houses, and own the Executive Branch. Successful legislators legislate...and failed legislators do not. Republicans understand this, and are raising power over policy....and misuse of power over ethics.

Sweetheart deals and backroom negotiations may have got Obamacare passed in the Senate, but it has left the American public dazed and confused. Determining the quality and the cost of your healthcare should never matter whether you live in Florida, Michigan, New York or Nebraska.
Our liberal democrats cannot expect me or you to support a 2,000 plus-page proposal that many members of Congress don't fully understand either. Too many Americans (Mass is the latest example) are convinced that healthcare reform will force them to lose their current coverage and then have to pay higher taxes for that new coverage. The response from Congress to these concerns has been confusing and you should know that. Obama, Reid, and Pelosi need to start over, get all our politicians involved, and back their camping promises right now. The lies and corruption by the democrats is what is hurting Obamacare. If not, then why does it take all those corrupt, special sweetheart deals to get it passed? No liberal yet has addressed that question

"It is indisputable that the Republicans have settled on a tactic of obstruction, disinformation and fear-mongering, but it is equally indisputable that the Democrats have not countered it well."

U.S. Sen. Russ Feingold is calling for the removal of "sweeteners" from the final health care bill, which, he wrote in a letter, were originally put into the legislation to sway some members of Congress.
In the letter, from Feingold to House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Feingold writes that items that give unmerited Medicaid assistance to some states, and eliminate some insurers from cuts to Medicare Advantage plans, should be removed.
Feingold's letter said that these items create unequal treatment for different states and take away from the bill's overall quality.

Russ did just that a week ago Jim.

Can I counter with Rush or Ann's opinion on this?
jhayett - Jan 21, 2010 5:55 PM
According to Feingold's recent meetings on health care, he has every intention to vote for Obamacre as is and with the sweetheart deals. However, watch all the democrats come out from their secret meetings (Obama promised you he wouldn’t do this. Do you recall that Carl?) this week and insist they wouldn’t have passed Obamacare as is. All to save face since Pelosi said today that Brown's victory all but canceled the liberals most corrupt Obamacare.

Democrats still have a 59 to 41 vote majority, and they act like they lost.
I say get rid of the filibuster, because the minority party in this country should have no rights.
