Ya gotta love those compassionate, open-minded libs!
Check out Keith Olbermann's take on Scott Brown:
Whew! Don't sugarcoat it, Keith! Just NASTY! You put Nancy Pelosi to shame! No wonder so few people tune in to MSNBC...
At least Obama's mouthpiece, Robert Gibbs, held back a bit, stating that Obama was "surprised and frustrated" by the recent situation in Massachusetts.
Well, Mr. Gibbs, maybe President Obama should realize that many of the people who voted for him in 2008 are "surprised and frustrated' a year after Obama ascended into office. One year was all it took to see that Obama is a phony. Saying one thing and doing the exact opposite. Examples and legislation abound to prove such. Failures too numerous to mention. Successes too few to even point out. A bust. A president who is not putting the best interests of America first. Can Obama salvage his presidency?
In order to do so, Obama and the Dems must pay heed to what happened in Massachusetts. This special election was a political upheaval rarely seen - and if Republicans can win in Massachusetts, they can win anywhere. Obama and the Dems should review Brown's acceptance speech - they might learn something. Senator Brown stated what many Americans believe right now. A few highlights:
- "Most of all, I will remember that while the honor is mine, this Senate seat belongs to no one person and no political party - and as I have said before, and you said loud and clear today, it is the people's seat."
- "One thing is clear, voters don't want the trillion-dollar health care bill that is being forced on the American people. This bill is not being debated openly and fairly. It will raise taxes, hurt Medicare, destroy jobs, and run our nation deeper into debt. It is not in the interest of our state or country."
- "When in Washington, I will work in the Senate with Democrats and Republicans to reform health care in an open and honest way. No more closed-door meetings or back room deals by an out-of-touch party leadership. No more hiding costs, concealing taxes, collaborating with special interests, and leaving more trillions in debt for our children to pay."
- "I will work in the Senate to put government back on the side of the people who create jobs, and the millions of people who need jobs, and as President John Kennedy taught us, that starts with an across the board tax cut for individuals and businesses that will create jobs and stimulate the economy. It's that simple!"
- "...I believe that our Constitution and laws exist to protect this nation - they do not grant rights and privileges to enemies in wartime. In dealing with terrorists, our tax dollars should pay for weapons to stop them, not lawyers to defend them."
- "Raising taxes, taking over our health care, and giving new rights to terrorists is the wrong agenda for this country."
In summary, Scott Brown's message rings loud and clear: "WE CAN DO BETTER!"
We sure can, Senator Brown! After your stunning victory, Obama and the Democrats are on notice. They are scrambling and lost. If they fail to understand that the majority of Americans do not like what they are trying to do to America, they will continue to fall victim to their own arrogance and ignorance. Fine. The tide is turning - and America WILL return to it's moderate, conservative roots. Whether the Democrats and President Obama decide to become part of the solution, or continue to be the problem, is yet to be seen.

The price of a Washington politician has just increased! Lobbyist and corporations can now buy up the rest of Washington. The democrats and republicans can fight all they want, neither party runs Washington anyway.

In an interview after the Brown victory, the neo-phyte man-child even blames Bush! Incredible!
Obama says: "“Here's my assessment of not just the vote in Massachusetts but the mood around the country: The same thing that swept Scott Brown into office swept me into office. People are angry and they are frustrated. Not just because of what's happened in the last year or two years but what's happened over the last eight years.”
Sure, Barry. People voted Scott Brown into office because they were mad at Bush! Too funny! Will this so-called "leader" ever grow up or face reality? The voters were angry, not with Bush, but with a radical agenda coming from a radical president. That is what happened in Massachusetts, Mr. Obama!

jhayett's right, 2006 was the turning point in all this mess. Ever since Pelosi and her possy got control of Congress, we started sliding into this Abyss.
The "majority" was theirs to lose and by all indications, that's exactly what they have done. They have nobody to blame but themselves. All this whining is making me sick.

FYI, yesterday Air America, which featured MSNBC Rachael Madow and the corrupt Sen from Minn, Al Fraken, filed for bankruptcy. Anybody know why???

"Democrats have used the filibuster against Republicans when the GOP was in the majority, most recently from 2001 to 2006. Back then, Democrats were great defenders of the right to filibuster Bush's judicial nominations. At one point in 2003, Reid spent more than eight hours on the Senate floor protesting the fact that Republicans spent so much time on four disputed judges instead of on joblessness. Reid read six chapters from a book he'd written about his tiny hometown of Searchlight, Nev.
Today, Reid is the Senate majority leader and complains bitterly about GOP delaying tactics"

yes, filibuster has been used but no matter what you say, your party ran our country since late 2006. And we all know what happened during those years.
