News, Information and Ideas on how to deal with hearing loss in a hearing world. Plus a few other topics!
Did you know that the N.Y. Fed Reserve Bank is exempt from Freedom of Information requests?
For those of you wanting to REALLY know what happened during the bail-out crisis (Nov. 2008), check this column out that I found in Bloomberg.

So, why aren't we hearing about this via the main stream media? Why is the N.Y. Fed. Res. Bank making decisions that are impacting the world? Who the heck is keeping an eye on these people?
Here's the latest news that I could find regarding the lawsuit Bloomberg filed in November 2008 against the FRB of NY.

And, finally, here's another article on how the FRB gets around the requests for information.

Meanwhile all of us are trying to recover from our own financial crises brought on by dealings that, over the years, left all of us holding the bag. Makes you wonder how many of those that really were 'in the know' from a lot of administrations sleep at night....

Synopsis
Most people think of the Fed as an indispensable institution without which the country's economy could not properly function. But in END THE FED, Ron Paul draws on American history, economics, and fascinating stories from his own long political life to argue that the Fed is both corrupt and unconstitutional. It is inflating currency today at nearly a Weimar or Zimbabwe level, a practice that threatens to put us into an inflationary depression where $100 bills are worthless. What most people don't realize is that the Fed — created by the Morgans and Rockefellers at a private club off the coast of Georgia — is actually working against their own personal interests. Congressman Paul's urgent appeal to all citizens and officials tells us where we went wrong and what we need to do fix America's economic policy for future generations.

Very interesting how the fed was created by a select group of very rich and powerful men under a veil of secrecy. This book also tells an interesting history of banking and wars

I usually shop Amazon or Alibris before looking at Borders, or Barnes & Noble.

For those of you not in the banking world, you may not realize that once you are part of a bank playing a major role, this relationship carries on for generations by way of favors, watching each others' backs, ect.
To make it a little easier for those not in the financial world to understand, if any of us 'little' people tried to pull off a scam like this, we would be arrested for breaking an untold number of laws. Makes you think! So, where do we put our retirement accounts now? You do realize that as the value of the American dollar falls, so does the value of your hard earned 401k's....

Actually, I prefer the print copies; easier on the eyes, and reading long-winded books online puts me to sleep. And since I don’t have a laptop I can’t carry it with me like a printed book, besides I can’t bookmark the page I am on.
