The eloquent Robert Gibbs
Sarah Palin was the main speaker at the first Tea Party Convention recently held in Nashville, Tennessee. During the course of her speech, it was noted that Mrs. Palin had written down three key talking points on the palm of her hand: "energy," " tax cuts," and "lift American spirit." Of course the left has seized upon this as too funny. What a stupid woman - can't she even remember what she is supposed to talk about?
Hypocrites.
Let's look at the President of the United States, who cannot put a complete sentence together without using his beloved teleprompter:
Without his teleprompter, Obama is lost. And when he choses to speak his mind without help - he gets in trouble - big time. Remember "Joe the Plumber" and Obama's "spread the wealth" comment? Or how Obama dissed the nation's policemen and women, when his friend Professor Henry Gates was involved in an altercation? Or his off-the-cuff remark about "Special Olympians."..... Yet, the same media that seized upon every incorrect word that President Bush spoke during his presidency has chosen to ignore the bumblings and stumblings of Obama. He is just so smooth and smart!!! Ooooohhhhhh, gush gush....we must not criticize "The One." He makes our legs tingle!
Now along comes the eloquent Robert Gibbs. The spokesperson for the President of the United States. The same man who cannot form a complete sentence without uttering an "ahhhhhh...." or "uuummmm." Just why is this guy the "spokesperson?" How did he ever land this job in the first place when he cannot speak? And in a feeble attempt to make fun of Sarah Palin, here's what Gibbs did:
Forgive me, but isn't this just a bit immature for a "spokesperson" for the President of the United States to be doing at a press conference? When I first saw a picture of this in the newspaper and read the explanation about what Gibbs was doing, all I could think of was that we have little children running the country. Little, spiteful, children. All they do is "want" and the rest of the country is supposed to fulfill their needs. When their needs are not fulfilled - they throw tantrums. When they see someone they do not like, they resort to name-calling (or worse) and doing the types of things that Mr. Gibbs did at a press conference - as a representative of the President!
Shameful.
How embarrassing for our country that such people are in charge.

As to President Obama functioning without a teleprompter, he was doing well enough at the Republican retreat that FOX cut short it's coverage of the event.

Obama says what he thinks people want to hear to placate them, then turns around and does the complete opposite. He lied to get elected and continues to do so. Another whopper is already on the horizon. Remember that promise about not raising taxes on households making under $250,000.00 a year? Gone. Just recently Obama stated that he must look at all options on the table - which includes tax increases and cuts to Social Security and Medicare.
Remember how Obama pledged over and over during the campaign to get elected that he wouldn't raise taxes on any family making less than $250,000.00 a year? Over and over. Seems that Larry Summers and tax-challenged Tim Geithner have been considering new taxes on the middle class since this past summer.
Obama's proposed budget - with it's proposed $970 billion tax increase over 10 years - already includes taxing Americans making more than $200,000.00. And now he is aiming lower.
Looks like another flip-flop (or flat-out LIE) from Obama. No surprise. Joe Wilson is being proven right over and over....

With Obama that isn't the case. He says one thing and does the complete opposite. He lies. And he is very good at it. Although not many people are buying the snake oil anymore.
