We are always proud of our students’ achievement on standardized tests! We received the testing results of the Wisconsin Knowledge and Concepts Examinations for Grades 4 and 8 on Friday! The tests are comprehensive and take approximately seven hours over five days in November to complete. Once again, 100% of our students in Grades 4 and 8 placed at the Advanced and Proficient levels of performance. While the test score is only a tool, it is an important tool…a tool by which we measure and assess our students’ achievement….and a tool by which others evaluate our school’s academic proficiency. Congratulations to our students and our teachers for this academic accomplishment!
Let’s talk St. Joan of Arc’s Basketball Season! What a year, it has been! Excitement and Challenge all the way to the last second of the last game!! Grade 5 Girls with Coach Stephanie Gilmore ended the season with 11 wins and the WACC Championship title; Coaches Rick Hills and Lori Fenske taught the skills of the game to 6th Grade Girls and the team topped off the season with 9 W’s and the Championship title at the St. Mary’s Hales Corners Tournament with their opponent being Brookfield’s St. John Vianney! Coaches Bill Burg and Roger Maio refined skills of the 5th Grade Boys team all season long to conclude with 9W’s, as well! The SJOA 8th Grade Girls, coached by Peter Duffey, Tim Aicher,
Our students are participating in the Operation Rice Bowl this Lenten Season. This sacrificial giving is a concrete way to witness to those who hunger or face poverty. Let us pray and sacrifice so that we can make a difference in the lives of our brothers and sisters in need. Rice Bowls may be found in the Narthex at the Church entrance.
