Wow, jmark. You really have it in for women who chose to stay at home to raise their family. Wonder whatever happened to you to despise stay-at-home moms so much!?!

By the way, jmark, you are really dating yourself using the term "housewife." I don't think too many people in our modern society describe women who stay home to raise their families this way. It is rather old and chauvanistic, but I guess it's no surprise coming from you.
And one more thing to consider - most "stay at home" moms work their butts off everyday. Wish you could say the same since all you seem to do is exercise your typing fingers..

The "domestic goddesses" or stay-at-home moms that I know (and am one of, except that I also work outside the home part-time an average of 30 hours / week) are far from the "lazy" brand that jmark seems intent on labeling us with. No, jmark, we are moms, chauffers, cooks, cleaners, doctors, psychiatrists, cheerleaders, teachers, etc. Very rarely during the day do I find time to even sit down. Guess you cannot say the same, given you have the time to type inane comments to almost every blog on numerous websites. What is it you do, exactly? You sure criticize me on a daily basis for what I do, yet never mention your own work history (if any) or how you fill your days, besides surfing the net to make comments (many which are deemed inappropriate, which are usually removed....)...
Now, I got to sign off....since I am home for lunch and now much go - ta da - back to work!!! :)

I wear the hats of a chauffeur, cook, cleaner, doctor, psychiatrist, cheerleader, teacher too! Big Effing Deal. And maybe if I try hard enough someday I'll get to wear the coveted "jerk of the week" hat. I'd go for the "jerk of the year hat" but, Johnson has a perpetual lock on that one.

So, using your own thought process, jmark, do you consider yourself to be a "househusban?" You have yet to mention if you do anything outside of the home....and we all know you like to type a lot.

AMY - Good Job. I thought it was funny and show's a good sense of humor and critisism on this one. Too bad your side doesn't take a page from the "Daily Show" and do some political critism in a satircal manner. It would work so much better than calling "liberals" and "democrats" socialists and traitors and baby killers, just becuase they disagree with you on the uses of government and social issues.

Although, it is "Democratic Party" and your part of the "Rethuglican party"!

@AJ911: Your statement simply reinforces the belief that you are intolerant of any view but your own. Humor takes may forms. Slapstick, satire, puns, irony, practical jokes, parodies, dark, ethnic, dry, ribald - the list can go on and on - the point is your opinion is just that - an opinion. While some are satisfied with the humor of Keane and Davis and don't try to understand the more weighty comics, others of us enjoy the Trudeau's and Wiley's of the world. I'm sure that there are no books or albums on your shelves of great humorists like Mort Saul, Lenny Bruce or even Bob Newhart. They are in my library along with works from Will Rodgers, Art Buchwald, Jean Shepard, Pat McManus, The Marx Brothers, Victor Borge and my personal favorite, Red Skelton. Humor is one of the things that has always sustained me through times of great physical and also emotional pain. I believe I possess a very good sense of humor. While you may disagree with the content of the three posts I made, they were an attempt to put a funny caption to a funny picture from a different perspective. If you possess such a great sense of humor, how about providing some original captions of your own. Then we'll critique you.

@ref33: I love Trudeau, Newhart and McManus (if that is the same one I am thinking of)! Anyone with a library AND a sense of humor can't be all bad. ;)
