Roadways, cell phone towers and even lakes all have "USER" fees--they are collected in vehicle license/regisration fees and gas tax, tower charges and related fees on cell phone bills, and launch fees as well as licensing fees of hunters/fisherman. Anyone using these things pays for them; if you don't you pay a lot less or nothing. Plus these are "essential services--you need roads, communications and I'd think you liberals like clean lakes(?).
This will not be true of the train being proposed--which I would NEVER ride but will still soak me every year to pay for the three riders who need to get to the Dane County Airport every so often.
