Once Upon a Family: NeverEnding Stories

The registration deadline has technically passed, but we do still have a few spots available for families who would like to come. We would need to get your registration packets ASAP, preferably this week or very early next week.
Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to meet and spend time with families from all over Wisconsin with d/Deaf or hard of hearing children. Enjoy a weekend of fun, friendship and interesting workshops designed to help you nurture your child’s growth and expand your skills as a parent. You’ll also enjoy sharing experiences with other families and exploring the beautiful Wisconsin Lions Camp, located near Stevens Point, which features 400 acres of forests, trails, native wildlife and a private lake.
FEATURED PRESENTERS:
LES PRAUSA is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Love & Logic Facilitator at the West Grove Clinic in Elm Grove, WI. By learning some simple strategies and hearing from other families’ tales, parents will to learn how to “have more fun and less stress while raising responsible kids of all ages” so families can live happily ever after…
MELANI KAPLAN, an experienced actor and storyteller who has a hearing loss, will guide your children in storytelling, role-playing and all-around fairy tale fun throughout the weekend.
Dates:
Arrive at camp between 10:30 AM -Noon on Friday, August 20 to check in. Allow enough time to get settled in your cabin before lunch is served from 12:00-1:00 PM. Programs begin immediately after lunch. Depart after lunch on Sunday, August 22. Location Located in Central Wisconsin, the Lions Camp is two miles east of Rosholt and 16 miles northeast of Stevens Point. FLV Weekend Fees:
All fees include lodging and meals. Your registration must be received at CCHD by June 30 to receive the Early Bird Fee. Adults $100 each (Early Bird Fee $90) Children (4 to 12 yrs) $65 each (Early Bird Fee $55) Children (1 to 3 yrs) $35 each (Early Bird Fee $30) Children (Under 1 yr) No Charge
Scholarships A limited number of partial scholarships will be available for families in need of financial assistance courtesy of a grant from SAY (Safe Alternatives for Youth). To be considered for a scholarship, your registration form and scholarship application must both be received by June 30.
