Ex-Lisbon supervisor to be sentenced for violating probation rules

Waukesha – Former Lisbon supervisor James C. Stadler, convicted in 2008 for wielding a weapon in his home, has had his probation revoked and will be sent prison sentence after he violated conditions of his probation including possessing weapons.

Stadler, 44, faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison and five years of extended supervision when he is sentenced Nov. 4 in Waukesha County Circuit Court.

In February 2008 a jury found Stadler guilty of felony intimidation of a witness and misdemeanor counts of pointing a firearm at another, three counts of possession of a switchblade and disorderly conduct while possessing a dangerous weapon. As a result of the conviction, Stadler resigned from the Lisbon Town Board.

He was sentenced in May 2008 to five years probation by Judge J. Mac Davis who ordered him not to possess any weapons, have any contact with his then wife, Lynn, or eldest daughter unless they agree in writing to have contact with him.

An Administrative Law Judge revoked Stadler’s probation for possession weapons, including a rifle, knives, compound bow, and air rifles and pistols, having contact with one of his daughters though he was not supposed to do so, and used prescription medications not prescribed to him, all violations of his probation. The judge ordered Stadler to be sentenced.
