Two injured in crash on Hwy. 83
Two people were reportedly seriously injured this morning when a pickup truck collided head-on with a semi-trailer on Highway 83, north of North Lake.
Waukesha County Sheriff Department Lt. Steve Pederson said one of the drivers was taken to Waukesha Memorial Hospital; the other was taken by Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.
Pederson said the accident occurred at 9:15 a.m. and is still under investigation. A segment of Highway 83 north of North Lake near County Highway CW has been closed for the past two hours.
