Ethan Allen inmate charged with sexual assault
WAUKESHA-- An eighteen-year-old inmate at Ethan Allen School for Boys, in the Town of Delafield, was charged with attempted second-degree sexual assault of one of the detention facility’s psychologists. The man was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court on Nov. 10. According to a Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department criminal complaint, Brandin Bremer, of Dubuque, IA, admitted that he "just snapped" on Oct. 25, when he had thoughts about kissing the psychologist and touching her on her private areas. Bremer stated that, "he just started looking at her and thoughts started popping in his head." The complaint indicates that Bremer grabbed the victim around her neck as he tried to kiss her, and she began screaming for help. He subsequently fled the room where he was confronted by Youth Counselor, Anthony Banks, who was able to pursue and restrain Bremer after tackling him to the ground. Bremer repeatedly spat on Banks’ face and tried to punch him. According to the complaint, Bremer was charged with attempted second degree sexual assault, two counts of assault by a prisoner and one count of disorderly conduct. If convicted, he could face 36 years in prison and roughly $86,000 in fines. Bremer is being held in jail on $15,000 bail as he awaits his next court appearance.
