Vernon appoints new fire chief
The Town of Vernon Fire Commission appointed Big Bend-Vernon Fire Captain Alex Felde as its new fire chief at its meeting last night.
Felde has served as Captain on the joint department since 2007. He'll be the new Town of Vernon Fire Department's first Fire Chief.
The joint department is set to dissolve Dec. 18.
