AHS boys defeat Central
Arrowhead's varsity boys basketball team, ranked eighth in this week's state Division 1 AP poll, defeated host Brookfield Central in a nonconference game Tuesday night, 64-54.
The win moved the Warhawks to 10-2 on the season. AHS will return to Classic 8 Conference play on Friday when they play at Waukesha South at 7:30 p.m.
Arrowhead led 15-14 after the first period and never trailed in the final three quarters. Their biggest lead was 12 points.
Charlie Fischer fired in a game-high 17 points for Arrowhead. Ryan May added 16 points and Jonny Fischer 12 for the winners.
Arrowhead shot 51% from the floor.
