PHS boys come up short
Pewaukee's varsity boys basketball team, ranked ninth in the state in the latest Division 2 state AP poll, lost to host East Troy Saturday night in a nonconference game, 58-54.
PHS hurt itself by sinking just 6 of 16 free throws. East Troy made 18 of 28 for the night, including 8 of 10 in the fourth quarter.
Pewaukee fell to 9-4 on the season and East Troy improved to 11-1. East Tory is ranked fourth in Division 3.
Ben Steker had a big night for Pewaukee. He finished with 18 points, making 8 of 9 shots from the field. Jordy Edgerson chipped in with 10 tallies and Kray Bradley had 9.
