NBE girls end Pewaukee streak
Visiting New Berlin Eisenhower went on a crucial 16-0 run late in the first period and into the second Friday night as they defeated the previously undefeated Pewaukee varsity girls basketball team in a Woodland Conference game, 55-43.
Pewaukee fell to 13-1 overall with the loss and 10-1 in league play. The win vaulted NBE to 13-1 overall and 11-0 in league play. The Pirates went into the game ranked second in the state in Division 2 and Eisenhower was ranked third.
Junior Nicole Bauman fired in 28 points for the Lions. Jordyn Swan led Pewaukee with 16 points.
Eisenhower held Pewaukee without a basket for a span of 12:49 from the first period into the third quater.
The Lions led 46-26 going into the fourth quarter.
