Beat the heat: Sussex Library extends hours
With temperatures soaring above 90 degrees this week, the village’s Pauline Haass Public Library will extend its hours this week to offer residents a cool reprieve. The air-conditioned library will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. from July 22-24. Library Director Kathy Klager said, "We are happy to extend our hours this weekend to provide a place to stay cool during this excessive heat warning. Feel free to come to the library all day or for just a few hours to get a break from the heat – all library services will be available during our extended hours." The library will maintain its normal summer hours Monday through Thursday, from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day. For those willing to brave the heat outdoors, Waukesha County's beaches will open early at 10 a.m. through Wednesday.
