Saxe, longtime tennis pro, dies

I still remember and use things that he taught me 20 years ago. When I started teaching lessons, I copied everything that he did. RIP Dave

I remember him joking about my old Agassi shoes saying they make me look real fast standing still! Was a great instructer!

Such a sad day.. Just a great man!!

My son Alex was Dave's tennis assistant at Lake Country Racquet club in addition being a student. On Sunday we would sit around the table and Alex would share what we would call Dave's words of wisdom or "Davisms" as we put it. We had many laughs but most importantly, we learned what valuable life lessons Dave would teach Alex. In fact, in September i told Dave... We should be paying you instead of you paying Alex for all the "work ethic" lessons you are teaching him. Little did we know how short Alex's time would be with DAve. On Tuesday night Dave told Alex .... " You were one of my best assistants, you are doing well at tennis and keep working hard in school"... Alex never had an "engaged" grandfather but little did Dave know... He was Alex's adopted grandfather...
Alex's post on face book says it all... it reads.... "Dave, you were an inspiration, the things I have learned, in tennis and in life are endless; I can't describe how much I enjoyed going to my Thursday lesson, and working with you every day. You will forever be missed"

Dave was a true blessing in our lives...
We are so sad and will miss him dearly. Last night Alex said he wished he would have said one more thing to DAve on Tuesday night before he left and that was "Thank You".... Our thoughts are prayers are with Dave's family. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful man.
