Pewaukee Village tax hike not as big as first thought
Village of Pewaukee – The tax increase for village services will be less than anticipated. The village recently received its final assessment numbers from the state Department of Revenue and it came in higher than anticipated which in turn lowered the tax rate. The 2012 tax rate for the village will be $4.85 per $1,000 assessed valuation, or 2 percent more than the previous rate of $4.75. During budget discussions, the tax rate was estimated to increase by 13 cents.
