OHS wins opener in Brookfield Central Thanksgiving Shootout
The Oconomowoc varsity girls basketball team opened its season with a 46-41 victory at the Brookfield Central Thanksgiving Shootout.
Mandy Prom and Carly Hall made several free throws in the fourth quarter, allowing the Raccoons to hold off Oshkosh West.
"A lot of kids stepped up in this game," OHS head girls basketball coach Bob Shea said. "Jorie Perrine had a big block for us and a steal, and Erin Vande Zande got some huge rebounds for us. This was a good start," he said.
