Accused drug dealer charged in heroin overdose of Waukesha man
Waukesha – A Milwaukee man was charged Tuesday for supplying heroin to a 26-year-old Waukesha man Feb. 21, who died from an overdose of the drug. Coleon M. Gallion, 25, was charged with first-degree reckless homicide. A warrant has been issued for his arrest. According to the criminal complaint, City of Waukesha police were called to a residence on Deer Path at about 5:30 p.m. Feb. 21 for a man who was described as a pulseless nonbreather. Police found Justin L. Schulthess unconscious and he was taken to Waukesha Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 6:17 p.m. A 25-year-old Waukesha man, who had called 911, told police he was with Schulthess that day and at about 3:40 p.m. they drove to Milwaukee to buy heroin for Schulthess, the complaint said. The man told police Schulthess gave him $40 and he allegedly bought two packages of heroin from Gallion. While still in Milwaukee, Schulthess injected the drug and then drove off, but then passed out, the complaint said. The man told police he tried to wake Schulthess by shaking him and pouring water on him and slapping his face, the complaint said. The man said he then pulled Schulthess from the driver’s seat and drove the vehicle back to the man’s residence in Waukesha. On Feb. 29, police asked the man to set up a drug buy and the man purchased $100 worth of heroin from Gallion, who goes by the name "Little C," the complaint said. After the purchase, the man identified Gallion as the person who he had purchased heroin from that allegedly led to the death of Schulthess, the complaint said. Gallion was questioned by Waukesha police and he admitted he sold the man the heroin on Feb. 21, the complaint said. If convicted Gallion faces a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison and 15 years of extended supervision. The Waukesha County Medical Examiner concluded Schulthess died of "heroin intoxication," the complaint said. The Waukesha man has not been charged in this matter. The man is charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court with possession of narcotics, possession of cocaine and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance near a park. An offense that occurred Nov. 10, 2011.
